  1. New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez blinked in the sunlight. He was finally free, albeit confined to a wheelchair. "Ah, the sun at last! It's good to be free from this place."

His aid, a young Inca man of 19, replied, "Indeed. You even talked them into letting you go home early."

The New Inca smiles, "I can be... Persuasive. I must now meet with the Chancellor. I know he's not yet been sworn in, but I must discuss his choices for Councilors."

  2. Yesterday Promise Land's government issued a statement of support for New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez's government and expressed wishes for his quick recovery. Princess Ailina Chavez thanks Promise Land and promises that the New Inca looks foreword to bettering relations between their 2 states.

OOC: This thread doubles as an RP and news feed. Sorry if the jumping around is confusing anyone.

  3. On the 1st day of voting, Marxists and Nationalists clashed yesterday on board a cruse ship off the coast of Cuba when a band of 4 Nationalists armed with AK-47s crashed a Marxist party. Ship security managed to neutralize the threat, killing 3 and wounding the 4th. On the Marxist side, 30 were killed and 50 wounded. New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez, in a video made in his hospital room, condemned the violence and called for peaceful elections. When asked what party he supported, he laughed and stated that he'd keep his vote, made by absentee ballot yesterday, to himself. The New Inca is in fair condition and is expected to be released by Monday.

Today Alex Smith, brother of slain aid Keven Smith, condemned the violence that was sweeping the New Inca Empire and called for an end to the political turmoil and the holding of elections. In response, the government announced that a referendum would be held in Downtown Caracas to decide whether or not elections should be held.

  7. Today a unit of the Land Inca Security Force or LISF, busted a counterfeiting ring after a break-in at the Imperial Mint. Unfortunately, the individuals arrested were suppliers of counterfeited currency to local gangs and not the counterfeiters themselves. This operation will continue until all counterfeiters are dealt with.

  8. From the front page of the Inca Times an article that shook the New Inca Empire to it's core read, "--- GOVERNMENT OF THE NEW INCA EMPIRE --- A bomb, believed to have been planted by the Nationalist Inca Party in retaliation for the arrest of 1 Rodriguez Gonzales, exploded, destroying the lobby of the Imperial Palace and damaging the 2nd floor of the same. Keven Smith, a political student from the Tahoe Republic and a government aid along with New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez were the only 2 in the area effected by the blast. Keven has been reported dead and the New Inca is in critical condition and is now residing in an ICU ward at an undisclosed location. --- END REPORT ---"

  9. The New Inca Empire, an absolute (but democratic in social and civil rights) monarchy itself, supports the Emperor. However we have a bit of a Nationalist Vs. Marxist Vs. Monarchist Vs. Nationalist situation of our own at the moment and thus advise that the Emperor, in the event he is deposed, avoid the New Inca Empire.

  10. New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez stood in the lobby of the Imperial Palace taking in the paintings on the walls. They were of ruins, people and artifacts of the old Inca Empire, lost to his people so long before. "In centuries past my people ruled as deities. We ruled a vast empire. We were... Destroyed." The New Inca frowns at the mistakes of his people and shakes his head. "And now we are at each others throats, so shortly after our rebirth as a nation."

    "New Inca?"

The New Inca turns to see a concerned looking aid standing before him. Smiling he reassures the man, "I was only thinking out loud. What did you wa-"

Just then an explosion rocks the building causing the roof to collapse on top of the 2 men.

  11. It had been 2 days but New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez was alive and well directing the Land Inca Security Force or LISF, to deal with the growing unrest and minor rioting. Already the man that started the turmoil was in high security penal facility but the Marxists were already starting to demand the election of a civilian and republican government. As the New Inca read the latest reports, he took comfort that an estimated 65% of the Inca people supported him. Still he couldn't shake the feeling that things would get worse.

  12. The pen may be mightier, but a dagger is faster... So the headline read in of the front page of the Inca Times. Apparently a radical nationalist had killed a popular Marxist leader, triggering a small but growing protest in front of the Imperial Palace. As New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez looked out his window from his privet living quarters, he began to grow concerned. Just then an aid came in, handed him a report then left without a word. After quickly reading it, the New Inca frowned and whispered to himself, "I seem to have good reason for concern."

A bomb threat had been called in on the Imperial Palace.

  13. Today the Inca people and their allies gathered in downtown Caracas as their sovereign, New Inca Apo-Mayta Chavez, announced the formation of the New Inca Empire. The New Inca also announced that the New Inca Empire was a free state and would welcome all immigrants and diplomats of good standing into the Empire.
