Personally i think the amount of those can be counted on one hand. There is also the issue if gremlins would ask for assistance, let's be honest if an alliance can not even defend its own members from a simple raid that alliance does no longer have a justification to exist.

Grä has always relied on MHA/FOK to do ghost busting/getting them to deal with raiders of their lower tier. So I do not see how those situations would differ from this one should someone make the mistake of trying to raid their lower tier. And if you believe that needing allies to deal with their raiders meant that Grä at their height had no justification to exist then you are sorely mistaken.

Are you kidding me? Anything below their top-4 nations is raiding flodder and the top 4 can't do a thing about it because they are out of range.
If i would raid (haven't done that since my nations was about 8k) i would most certainly see a target of opportunity here.

They might be out of range of those doing the raiding but not necessarily their alliance mates. And there are still some people who would help out Grä should such an event happen.

you can talk about your paperless whatever it is, all you want Omas, but Grämlins were just as much bandwagoners, if not more so, than DAWN was. DAWN had a treaty with IRON that dictated defensive measures. they honored those measures so honestly calling them bandwagoners is just annoying. Gremlins hit IRON when IRON was bogged down by several alliances already. they did so with no treaty since the only treaty ya'll got is with MHA. you came in on the winning side. DAWN was being hit by a few alliances when they declared on Gremlins. honestly it takes much more cajones to do what DAWN did than to do what Gremlins did. so i would suggest just ending this line of argument as it only points out the massive and blatant hypocrisy that is fast becoming Gremlins.

Doch I'm not calling them bandwagoners. They have as much right as we did to join this war however, people are talking about horrible game precedents and surely attacking an alliance without an official declaration is one of those ? Seeing as an official declaration has been standard procedure within the game since it's inception.

Whilst talking about this view of being a 'group of rogues' rather than an alliance, and about setting horrible game precedents. Fancy pointing out the DAWN declaration of war?

Gre tried to send TORN propaganda messages too, it was hilarious. We got a laugh about it because our members are in the loop, and not being fed falsehoods on a regular basis. Which I suppose is why we laughed off their messages, and Gre finds ours so threatening.

Todays lesson: Grämlins are srs bzns.

Finally, I don't think IRON is in any shape to really by an immediate threat to GRE anytime soon which makes taking away the threat posed by IRON moot as a possible rationale for their current stance.
Just a little bit I saw and thought I'd add in on. I've seen quite a few IRON members mention something about how they are winning and are doing more damage to us. I've even seen a quote floated about something along the lines that they will 'crush us'. So surely that could be seen as a threat to us if they are going to 'crush us'?

There is still the issue with Gremlins, who have no real reason to continue this war other then that they hate us have the nerve to break their codex.
Just had to reply to this. We do not hate you, and never have, and we are not 'breaking' the Codex (not that it can be) and I do not see why people always feel the need to try and make it out that we are as it has no bearing what so ever and I don't really see why an external source should be commenting on something purely internal.

    Anyways, as you were.

Our nations that will fund the reps and rebuilding are being held hostage by Gramlins, if they come out of peace mode, Gramlins would destroy them, if they dont, we're under terms forever. With its enablers, Gramlins can continue this indefinitely.
I don't want to get dragged into this but ... you cannot call it a hostage situation as that implied there is no way out. You have the ability to get out of the situation you are complaining about, if you don't want to take that option then so be it. But there is still the ability to get out of it.

Grämlins demanded a huge amount of tech from us before they changed their mind, they even increased the amount for IRON (for prolonging the war by negotiating the terms :awesome: ).
I would have to seriously question this.

  10. This is the kind of thread where I'm very tempting to go into detail about the supposed 'ruining' of the alliance. But that would be far too tedious and no one would care so...Respect! What respect! Grämlins don’t need no stink’n respect. They have Ramirus Maximus!

I see MHA is now the #1 alliance, good job gaining it by dropping NPO at their worst time when they had it and TOP at thier worst time when they had it. I wonder how long MHA will keep it now that their is no one left above them to assist in rolling.
Are you really trying to suggest that MHA cancelled those treaties to gain #1 ? Really ? Nothing to do with the whole warring thing that's been covered throughout this thread.

I have a question for you: if the Grämlns attacked somebody, and the rest of Planet Bob jumped on them, would you stand by their side?
If a dinosaur ate a whale would MHA still stand with Grämlins? See, I can come up with pretty much impossible situations too. But as for the question, if we were going to attack someone out of the blue and then got declared on by everyone then personally I would have no problem with MHA not standing with us. If we get ourselves into something as stupid as that then we shouldn't drag our friends in with us.

But if they did stand with us it would have nothing to do with the 'treaty' and instead to do with the relationship that we have, so trying to use the MHA/Grä relationship to outline your point about MD(oA)P's isn't really going to work as it's different from your standard 'treaty'.
