1. Sierra Leone welcomes Guinea to the world and requests a trade of embassies.

Guinea thanks Sierra Leone and agrees to the trade of embassies. The Sierra Leone embassy in Abuja is under construction.

"The Stormlands congratulates the Union of Guinea on achieving sovereignty and full independent status and hereby appoint it full diplomatic recognition.

We invite Guinea to establish a diplomatic mission in the Statesman's Quarter in Stormsend."

We accept the Stormlands' offer of a diplomatic mission and offer the same to the Stormlands in Abuja.

  2. Guinea thanks those who have given it recognition

The Euphaian government and the Euphaian Freedom Fighters both formally recognize the nation and government of the Union of Guinea, and extend their hand in friendship and diplomacy.

The Euphaian government and the Freedom Fighters both also formally request an embassy and the start of formal diplomatic ties.

Guinea is happy to welcome the Euphaian government and the Freedom Fighters and thank them for their recognition. In the interests of establishing diplomatic ties, we will establish an embassy for Euphaia in the capital city of Abuja.

Declaration of Existence of the Union of Guinea

Nkwupụta nke ịdị adị nke njikọ nke kennwere enwe ndị Guinea

Union of the Free Peoples of Guinea

Let it be known to all the world forthwith that as of today, there exists a new country in Africa, along the Gulf of Guinea, known as the Union of Guinea.

This country shall be an elective republic, with a President who presides over a bicameral legislature, to be made up of a lower house, comprised of members elected via proportional representation, and an upper house, to be comprised of members of all the tribes whose proportion of the population is >5%. These members shall be appointed by their respective tribal councils, and are members for life or until removed by their tribal council

Let it be known that this government governs with consent of the many tribes of this region. The tribes have come together to form this larger government, as we all share a common heritage.

We would also like to open our capital city to any and all foreign nations who wish to establish an embassy, especially those of Africa.

Praise be to the Free Peoples of Guinea.

Too ịbụ otu nke kennwere enwendị Guinea

  5. Merger, Tywinn isn't building a coalition against us. We're all united in our dislike and he has in fact promoted stability - a world united in contempt for all things Tywinn

Besides, none of us use the term Polardoxia, therefore nobody will even assume he is referring to us when he goes all fan girl

Our victory was all because of you - great hero of every event in CN history

Thank you, Starfox, I was getting a little concerned there for a moment :war:

  6.

I support Polardoxia because I put in so much work to ensure its success during and before the Disorder War. I think the key elements in Polardoxia are capable of something big if they continue to work together, and as long as the Union holds together, in my belief it will not be defeated. But this means Polardoxia needs to abandon fear of the future and embrace a unifying ideology to succeed. If I didn't think Polardoxia was capable of establishing stability I would be supporting NPO (I am a former NPO member who is disappointed by the decisions they have made since).

Anyone who is a student of Sun Tzu will understand immediately what I am doing.

I'm not entirely convinced of what you're doing. You could be genuine, and actually trying to help (albeit failing miserably). Alternatively, you could be as I suggested previously, and trying to get another power into power. Or you could be working some third angle which I am fairly confident I understand, though not confident enough to state it openly. If you genuinely want Polardoxia to succeed, you will stop with these Fox News-style posts and do something a little less abrasive to the community as a whole. Otherwise, I will be forced to conclude that you are actually working against us, to your own end.

  7.

This is the fear that I'm talking about that holds many people and even alliances back from their potential. It is a fear that stems from a lack of forward-thinking and vision, because alot of alliance governments are simply content to react to the situation rather than create the situation. My number one goal ever since rerolling was creating situations, rather than reacting to them, and this has created many enemies. This fear existed within high government of the coalition when some alliance leaders were panicking when unexpected situations came up, but they were not unexpected to me. They were simply more challenges to overcome.

What I'm doing through LNN is not just reporting events, but sharing my interpretation of them, and more importantly, sharing vision of the future. Does it build opposition to Polardoxia? Absolutely, and just like every development in the Coalition, it represents an opportunity, rather than something to be feared. So frankly I don't care if people are worried about me creating opposition to Polardoxia because in my opinion that is a good thing.

I'm a creator. I like to engineer not just alliance governments and societies, but also the situation they are in.

So then you admit that you're feigning being on our side while simultaneously attempting to build a coalition against us through your posting, then? You openly state that you like to engineer situations, so I am forced to conclude that your posts are an attempt to bring us down a peg and reinstate the other side, or perhaps some third side with you as the leader.

  8.

My private agenda is not necessarily related to my media coverage. The Lannister News Network is dedicated to fair and balanced journalism and revealing destabilizing global patterns to the public. Understandably, many alliances would be afraid to accept such a high profile figure because they are ruled by fear, rather than ambition. However, I am very good at both analysis and government work, and once I am finally accepted into an alliance I can shift my time away from press coverage to working within an alliance.

The idea that I should sit around and do nothing however is preposterous and is equivalent to quitting outright. "Inactivity is Death."

(OOC: In the words of Kanye West: "who is going to stand up and allow me to create, or are they going to try and marginalize me until my moment is gone")

Fair and balanced from your perspective is clearly, as evidenced by this thread, not fair and balanced to the majority of CN. Maybe it's the fact that there's never been a news network in CN before save MoG[News] but Mogar was mostly just reporting the news, not offering his perspective on it (iirc). What you are doing is spouting key words like 'Polardoxia' and 'stability' whilst simultaneously building support for the opposition (knowingly or otherwise), by making posts like you have in World Affairs and the OWF.

I'm not saying you should just shut down everything and do nothing, but maybe take yourself out of the spotlight for awhile, a phrase which here means, 'stop posting so many fucking threads'.

  9. You realize he's still outdamaged you thus far? You might want to fight longer than 16 hours in you're entire history before you start acting like you know what you're doing.

Also get a trade circle. Would you like my consulting services to teach you how?

Haven't had a laugh this good from these forums in a looooooooooong time.

Enjoying this thread. Please continue discussing your military prowess.

  10. To: State Department of Paraguay

    From: Government of Great Britain

    Subject: Diplomatic Relations

    Esteemed Leader,

The government of Great Britain is interested in establishing diplomatic relations with Paraguay and extend our recognition to the newly formed nation. In light of the current state of affairs of the world, Britain would advise Paraguay to exercise extreme caution when dealing with other nations. We hope that this message is received in the proper light and not misconstrued. We offer you the opportunity to open up an embassy in London and hope we can do the same in your capital city.

    Regards,

    British Government

  11. Whoa. I knew I was out of touch, but I never saw this coming. I'm not a fan of TOP, but it's to Dajobo's credit that he hasn't hung onto old grudges. You'd never have got Grub signing a treaty like this.

Guess he's better at letting go of grudges than you thought.

  12. Nordboerne Kongedømme extends full recognition to Great Britain and wishes it well with its future.

Britain thanks the country with the hard name to type.

The Zambian federal republic recognizes Britain and extends an offer to open an embassy in Lusaka

Britain thanks Zambia and accepts the offer to open the embassy in Lusaka. We also extend the same offer to Zambia in London.

Prussia welcomes an independent Great Britain back to the world and invites her to establish a diplomatic presence in Königsberg.

Britain thanks Prussia for their recognition and accepts the offer. We also invite Prussia to do the same in London.

The Republic of California extends its recognition to Great Britain, and congratulates Prime Minister Clarkson on his victory.

Britain thanks California for its recognition and would like to convey Prime Minister Clarkson's personal thanks.

Im liking the absence of the Irish representation in that flag. Stay classy.

    (Im not RPing)

OOC: I had to use the flag from 1707-1801. The same flag as when the American Revolution was taking place.  :ehm:

"In the hallowed words of Mr. Clarkson... POWWAHHHHHH!!!  Congrats on winning the rat race and to the contenders, 'Losers'."

    - Hudson Bay Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement

OOC: I'm glad someone got that reference.

" The Irish Republic welcomes Great Britain to the internatioanl stage. May your nation prosper and don't go colonising anyone."

We assure Ireland that we have absolutely no plans for colonization.

    Britannia Rises

The island of Britain had been without an independent government for some time. And while the Athenian government did a fine job of governing the isle, the people craved self-rule. When the motion came up for a vote, the people turned out in droves and voted overwhelmingly - 97% - in favor of independence from Athens.

Then came the difficult part: selecting a leader. There were many candidates, and already parties were forming, from the Fascists to the Communists. But of all the candidates, there were only three with a legitimate chance to win. They were Jeremy Clarkson of the Conservative Party, who some accused of having fascist tendencies; Richard Hammond of the Centrist Party, who some accused of being dumb; and James May of the Liberal Party, who most accused of being slow.

The election went off for the most part without a hitch, which political commentators attributed to most British people being notoriously polite queuers. And because none of the candidates achieved a majority, they did another election with only the aforementioned candidates, because they were the top three vote-getting candidates. In the run-off election, Jeremy Clarkson was the top vote-getter, and although he didn't achieve a majority, he was selected as Prime Minister anyway, because everyone figured it was better to stop with these ridiculous elections.

He later delivered a rather short speech to the House of Commons, "People of Great Britain, thank you for putting your faith in me as your Prime Minister, I swear to faithfully and to the best of my ability execute the office to which you've elected me. I will preserve the freedom, liberty, and above all else, the security of this great country. Thank you."

    tl;dr I'm back. and i'm great britain
