    When OFS are capable of naming their biggest mistakes during a birthday celebration and then have countless more suggestions thrown at them, perhaps they will come close to taking the crown of worst alliance ever.

    So, am I the first nation to ever been declared on by an entire alliance?

    Also, your reasons were from three-four months ago. If it was war-worthy, why did you not declare then? :)

    It would just appear some people within GATO, other than C_K, are also capable of pissing others off; I guess if you live by the might-makes-right ideal things are gonna come back to bite you in the end.

    And let's face it, without opportunism things wouldn't be the same in this world.

    ...Although perhaps a tech raid would have been a more reasonable excuse :awesome:

    Hi Mordd! I've heard about you.
    The word was understanding, not cooperation. It's rather impractical for an alliance to be protecting one that is larger than it, and TC is essentially the balance of decent people from NTO, which was previously under the auspices of NpO. All three alliances (OTF, TC, NpO) have behaved with the professionalism and competence one should expect, unlike certain outsiders who choose to comment on the situation.
    Congratulations to the both of you :D

    Oh, and hi Mordd, AiD Senator and Immortal. Nice to see you leaving your retirement status. :)

    It's good to see you're finally making friends, Mordd! If you ever want to go out to the movies honey, just let me know and I can lend you some money :popcorn:

    However, that is the last time you'll be going out for a while. No one under my control speaks with a subjective voice and gets away with it; you're grounded, mister :jihad:

    One year for the Northern Treaty Organization

    Having gotten to know all of the leadership of this particular alliance I can say without a doubt most of you have the absolute wrong impression of them.....

    .....It became apparent rather quick that you still wore the pants in AiD no matter who had what title.....

    Sadly Magic, if people knew everyone else as well as they thought, you would be familiar with our "No President, no pants" policy where if anyone besides myself was caught wearing pants they would be expelled and sentenced to permanent ZI. Undergarments and skirts, however, are still acceptable.

    Secondly, if we all knew each other as well as we have professed, in the past and present, I doubt things would have escalated to anywhere near the level they did in January. Although, it did sever some relationships that, arguably, should have been cut sooner for the betterment of all involved parties. Time moves on irrespective, but as Mordd suggested some people forgive, some people forget and others do neither.

    However, that is off the topic. I can't say I wish NTO/EGS any luck in this highly questionable move, but I'm sure they're aware that if they screw up they won't receive any second chances. Brown and NTO/EGS have some clever politicians, along with some who seemingly deceive or overrate themselves, so I don't doubt they understand the risks in what they're doing.

    A very interesting move, nonetheless.

    Edit: I almost forgot, congratulations on your first anniversary. An alliance perceived and known as /b/ v.2 would deserve that at the very least, irrespective of anything else

    UPS Welcomes a New Signatory

    UPS is proud to announce the inclusion of a new signatory, Browncoats! We've also introduced a couple new articles to the charter, as well as a few revised ones.

    However, I've noticed one major issue with UPS since it was restored and it would appear even after these amendments it still presents an issue.....

    In the spirit of acquaintanceship, this accession, based on our devoir to the team color composed of red, orange, and green, is hereby confounded & re-declared by the following Alliances:

    It's something I mentioned before we signed this agreement, and I've asked for clarification with a few signatories since we left - Is UPS really supposed to be based on the foundations of confusion? :)

    What is the purpose of this?

    To reaffirm an undying friendship between four alliances and to ensure our security and continued development in this wacky world of ours.

    But the driving factor goes deeper than that..... For too long we've all wanted to sign a treaty with an 'x' in the title, we couldn't pass up this opportunity to do it together :awesome:

    Greetings fellow citizens of Planet Bob.

    This day signifies a historical moment in the existence of four alliances: the Alliance of International Defence, the League of Extraordinary Nations, the Order of Feudalistic Security and the OTF Alliance.

    We live in a time where camaraderie and friendship between alliances is crucial; the long held affinity between our alliances in this unpredictable and volatile world now provides the opportunity to further advance the interests and ideals of our respective alliances.

    We move with one motion and speak with one tongue: as four allies we find ourselves united in every sense.

    I am privileged enough to formally announce the existence of... The Nexus Agreement

    Preamble

    The Alliance of International Defence, the League of Extraordinary Nations, the Order of Feudalistic Security and the OTF Alliance come together in order to recognise a common friendship and commitment to one another. In signing this agreement, signatories affirm unquestionable support for fellow members and endeavour to sustain this united front and act with the ambition of achieving common security and prosperity.

    Sovereignty

    The undersigned respect the leadership and sovereign rights of their fellow signatories and shall make no attempt to subvert or undermine the leadership of any other member. Each alliance has the right to freely make their own decisions in regards to allies and treaties, providing no prospective treaty partner has been cited as an enemy of a fellow signatory.

    Non-Aggression

    Members states of the undersigned will abstain from engaging in any aggressive actions against each other, where such actions may include declarations of war, military operations, acts of espionage, or any other infliction of harm by proxy. Signatories will treat each other with respect at all times, in public and private channels, and will refrain from publicly disrespecting or criticising one another. The said parties are encouraged to resolve any outstanding issues with one another through appropriate private channels.

    Assistance

    The undersigned alliances agree to provide financial assistance, within their best capacity, to one another if any formal request or desire is expressed by another signatory. Member alliances are entitled to provide military and financial aid during times of war and each signatory affirms their diplomatic support to one another if requested.

    Intelligence

    All signatory alliances shall demonstrate a willful and coordinated effort in gathering intelligence about the greater political climate, along with any information relating directly to the undersigned. Signatories are required to relay any information relevant to the security of fellow members through the appropriate channels, as soon as practically possible, without further endangering the concerned parties.

    Mutual Defence

    Any aggressive attack or declaration of war on a member or members will be considered, in essence, as an act of war against all signatories of this agreement. In such a scenario, signatories agree to respond with full military capabilities in order to effectively defend the attacked party, without hesitation. Any request for lesser assistance, be it of military, economic or diplomatic qualification, will also be considered obligatory and responded to with aptness.

    Mutual Aggression

    The undersigned have the right to provide assistance and support for fellow signatories when undertaking aggressive actions. Any intent to initiate aggressive actions against an outside party must be presented to fellow signatories seventy-two (72) hours before any action is taken, in which time signatories will discuss the appropriate supportive actions. Should a request for military assistance be refused under these circumstances, it will not affect the ongoing relationship between signatory parties.

    Terms of War

    The undersigned alliances consent to a strictly 'no nuclear first strike' policy in both offensive and defensive wars. Signatories also recognise that the conditions of an aggressive war apply specifically to states containing a minimum of ten (10) nations or holding a defensive pact with another external alliance, and does not apply to raiding or nations designated Zero Infrastructure targets by any signatory of this agreement. Furthermore, terms of peace and surrender issued during defensive and aggressive wars would require unanimous (100%) approval by current signatories.

    Membership

    In signing this treaty, members recognise that any breach of this agreement may be considered plausible grounds for the removal of a signatory. Member states also acknowledge that this agreement will overrule all previous treaties held between signatories and by default will not interact with the external treaties held by signatories, unless otherwise agreed upon. New alliances may also be invited to sign this covenant following collective approval (100%) by the current members.

    Amendments

    Amendments of this document may be proposed at any time, by any signatory alliance. In order for a proposition to be considered successful it will require a unanimous vote (100%) by all signatories.

    Cancellation

    A signatory may resign their status by providing notification to the other members of this agreement, after which they will be bound by the terms of this pact for a further ninety-six (96) hours. The undersigned alliances have the right to propose the removal of another signatory at any time, after which they will have a seventy-two (72) hour time frame to discuss and vote on the cancellation of the concerned membership. It will require a unanimous vote of the undisputed signatories (100% - 1) in order to successfully remove a fellow signatory.

    OFS declared war on themselves when their member threatened another alliance? :o

    Another valuable contribution.

    If you've got a problem with OFS why would you want anything to do with them as well as, apparently, going out of your way to post in their threads?

    History is there so people may learn from its mistakes, OFS have done that and are advancing in leaps and bounds. If you can't get over the past than it is merely a reflection of your character, because this OFS is nothing like the OFS of six months ago.

    The Castaway Agreement

    - An Alliance of International Defence and Order Of Feudalistic Security Mutual Defense Pact (MDP)

    Preamble:

    As sovereign alliances bound by common purpose and friendship, the Alliance of International Defence (-AiD-) and the Order Of Feudalistic Security (OFS), along with their respective member nations, do hereby proclaim that they shall be as one in time of need or surplus, separate and yet united for the benefit of all.

    Article I: Friendship

    Neither alliance shall take military action or engage in active espionage against the other; similarly, no financial or military aid may be rendered by either alliance to any party committing hostile action against the other.

    Article II: Defense

    Signatories agree to defend one another should either alliance be attacked, so long as they could effectively deter the enemy. In this situation “effective†will be deemed as the combined power of all allied forces being at least half the military strength of the attacking alliance. If the signatory cannot effectively enter the conflict then they are required to help rebuild their attacked friend, and to make diplomatic efforts to restore peace. In the event a signatory chooses to initiate conflict, for whatever reason, the other signatory is provided a legal right to assist in whatever form of action they deem necessary. Such assistance is not automatically granted and does not in any way affect the standing of the treaty.

    Article III: Intelligence

    Recognizing that information can be the most potent of weapons, both alliances shall coordinate all efforts in gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence about both the greater world around them and potential breaches of security within their own ranks. All information learned through this combined effort shall be shared between the leaders and, if mutual security permits, the members of both alliances.

    Article IV: Aid

    Member nations are strongly encouraged and are expected to provide aid, based upon need and the best potential for development, between both alliances. The governments of the signatory alliances are expected to promote this kind of cooperation and encourage their member nations to get involved in it. The government of each alliance will set procedures to deal with refusals for this kind of cooperation.

    Cancellation

    In the event of serious breaches of this treaty or either alliance feeling they can no longer continue to uphold this treaty with the other alliance following attempts to resolve any issues that may exist, the treaty may be cancelled by either alliance. In such an event, 72 hours notice must be provided to the other alliance before the treaty will be considered officially cancelled.

    Conclusion:

    Looking to the future together, the leadership of the Alliance of International Defence and the Order Of Feudalistic Security affirm their friendship and do hereby sign this document.
