  1. It looks like you've already taken the brunt of both the physical and 'verbal' attacks thus far, so this thread (to clarify beyond reasonable doubt) really only begs one question: Are you just a masochist?
  2. Congratulations and good luck to all of you... but mostly aboooe - don't let me down
  3. I pray to admin that there'll still be something left of you in 84 days, but I doubt it.
  4. I asked Solidus to proofread what I wanted to say, but he ended up stealing and using just about everything So congratulations AB, on both your new code and anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been a year already... I don't think one could ask for better friends, and I hope to see you guys celebrate a few more birthdays yet.
  5. Caffine had an awesome show as usual... Sol dragged the standard down a bit, though. Is there another planned at this stage?
  6. Whilst I adore RDD, Augusta and Solidus... what makes you think you're important enough to be targeted, eh? Nevertheless, good luck
  7. Emperor_Jason?! What were you thinking?! Nah, good luck with this guys - it looks pretty sweet.
  8. Thanks for your help guys, it's greatly appreciated. We shut up shop months ago.
  9. Matthew117 bows his head and begins to chuckle To address a common misconception: Echelon is under no false pretenses - We aren't holding out for white peace, nor do we expect it. From out initial involvement in the war, we haven't expected anything different. We did object to the terms offered to us, but that is not the topic of discussion. ...However it remains relevant, because all of our nations who did not appear to be government were messaged within 3 hours of those talks concluding, after GOD had quite bluntly stated they would not make concessions and had no sympathy for us (and why should they? We're at war). The issue is that after ~40 days of war, where Echelon has lost two dozen members, those who remain stand united in their fight - our combatants realise this. Echelon will leave this war when it is appropriate... yet some are trying to get too clever, outraged because their demands aren't met. There is no love lost between our two alliances, they do not care for the welfare of our nations - by hand-picking nations for government-issued individual surrender terms they seek to undermine the same talks they were responsible for organising. That is the reality of the situation. Those who have stated a case otherwise, you've made your intent clear, I doubt there's much more that can be said to appease you. Those messages were deliberate in the most malicious way - war does not provide an excuse for, nor absolve one of, all sins.
  10. Congratulations! It gives me great displeasure to advise you all that you've missed the point (some of you multiple times!), however, just because it looks like you made an effort, I'm willing to let it slide. And I have never paid too much attention to you Karma guys before, but having experienced such a warm welcome, I feel I should reciprocate - Only now has your potential impact on the game become apparent; whereas I have never before been welcomed with such vigour by the NPO, IRON, or that underhanded hegemony-mob, you fill me with hope and promise. Your interest, faith and acceptance in the words I speak are indicative of a bright new era where tolerance and happiness, propagated by the likes of NSO, MK, Nemesis & all the rest, will consume Bob. You people are a credit to and asset to this world, I commend you on your actions. Thank you. I encourage you to seek me out in #wutwar if I've left you feeling unsatisfied.
  11. I, and many other Echelon nations, entered this conflict under no false pretenses. We knew it would be tough and we knew from the outset that, barring a miracle, it would result in defeat. I stand before you not as a representative of the Echelon government, nor as someone with any great interest in the ideals or propaganda of either side; I am here as a member of Echelon, someone who has been engaged in conflict for almost 6 weeks because it is the right and just thing - because our continued involvement and defeat is more palatable to us than cowardice. Most of our opponents understood this and fought accordingly, showing a great deal of respect. They have earned both my respect and that of Echelon in turn; there are perhaps no two clearer examples than TOP and TSO, who's honour and humanity were reflected in both their conduct during the war and the resultant peace. One alliance who insists on bucking this trend however, as is their sovereign right, is the Global Order of Darkness. In attempting to subvert our governmental process, and undermining the very peace talks you marshalled, you have exposed your alliance as a despicable and dissatisfied would-be victor, your arrogance is matched only by your stupidity. You have earned my disapproval and disdain, so rather than filtering through the multitude of messages you will (potentially) receive from my alliance-mates, I feel qualified to respond to you on behalf of the remaining Echelon members, who all share a common ideal, that you appeal to: No, thank you.
  12. My hunger remains unsatiated. You are making a habit of failing me, Solidus.
  13. I don't disagree with anything you've said. Everything has some consequence, which is why it's impossible to be determined by anyone other than the victorious party. However I (and many others) were personally disappointed at the treatment and surrender terms our allies received while looking for peace. Not that it's worth bringing up again, but there's undoubtedly some relevance when an alliance who'd done little-to-no wrong did not receive white peace after honouring a treaty and fighting a protracted war - perhaps it is most indicative of the peace terms NPO, IRON, Echelon & TPF will be greeted with, at the appropriate time. Edit: Clarity & stuff.
  14. Thank you for explaining; I got the feeling he liked us and was happy to see us 'let off lightly' There's no way to determine reps without some form of bias or subjective interference - It all depends on your past interactions with whoever you're fighting, how they've fought the war (in both a diplomatic sense and damage received/how many nations were actually in the firing line), et cetera. You'll get what your given, like it or not. If you don't, we'll assume the circumstances aren't 'life or death' and you're free to refuse... However, what is a realistic request and what you deserve are two totally unrelated issues. I just have one, slightly tangential, query - Are Karma trying to usher in a new standard of fair play as they enact this justice or; are Karma trying to reprimand and punish the hegemony for their past actions and hope things will just be rosy once it's all said and done? Due to the disparity between the Karma alliances (they're a loose coalition at best; as demonstrated by this thread, many people and alliances have different motives and reasons behind their involvement) I don't think it'll play much of a role in all of the repatriations issued, but I am still curious having witnessed many viewpoints at both ends of the spectrum.
