I had to check back through our forums, but Ratnp is correct. This is what I asked him to do: "See if they are willing to assist if we get hit by the whole world. They are good people, fight hard, and are able to maintain with a small alliance. We don't have anything to offer other than some fun and protection once the doo-doo hits the fan, but it would be nice to have them prepped to assist if we have 400 nations hitting us at once (like I hope we do)." And that is what he did and the Rodents did. I will take full responsibility for the Rodents entering the war. They are our friends regardless.

I want to be real clear on this. The Rodents are our friends. Fark is like every other alliance in the game: We respect them but have no particular ties to them. I initiated contact with the Rodents a couple of weeks ago, as well as a couple of other small alliances, to see if they wanted to play in the final war of the round. I did this as a chance to get them some serious war action, nothing else. No treaties, defense pacts, just an invitation to join us in an undefined future war. When this war came, we were also attacked by Republic of White Nations, a very small alliance. I asked that RD be invited to hit them. Again, not in our defense, but to share in the fun. That is the extent of it. Fark I have had no contact with at all. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

Here is my list of our Wars. The Vetting War: LE Cadet VS Archiean Knights Even numbers, similar strengths. Straight War for applicant testing and training. Knights never even tried. The Stupid War: Lafayette Escadrille VS the IDIOTS A war of Principle. Disagreement among Alliances as to methods of recruitment and conditions of War. The Idiots never had a chance, nor were they supposed to. They turned turtle, too. Party at Kaiser Indie's House Lafyatte Escadrille VS The Red Guard A war for Fun. 97 nations VS 176, 300,956NS VS 388,023NS. We knocked them down more than 200,000NS and borrowed a couple thousand technology, while growing to 358,518NS in nine days. We kept them over 50% anarchy while we suffered less than 10% at any given time. Regardless of the numbers, they fought hard and well on an individual basis and as an alliance. A big salute to the Red Guard for a good fight. The Spring Prom War The Phoenix Federation VS the Lafayette Escadrille Another War for Fun. Pretty much even up, with TPF getting in an effective blitz first, and then it all went to Hell and had to be called off. Race for the Flag We made a run at the top nation spot but were kicked in the cajones by a technical foul called by our opponents. We probably could not have taken it, but it would have been very close. Edited for update on the Race for the Flag.

Korsun kicked my arse too. That guy is a terror! That has to have been the best war we have been in for sheer riding the razor edge. S!

Yep, The Red Guard is fighting! The only issue is that the first round of anarchies have passed, and it is getting very hard to determine which nations have not been hit, and which have been peaced. Some nations are also violating parole, so we need to resolve the situation one way or the other real soon. End the War or Total war. Either works, I just need an indication which way The Red Guard wants to go. As of right now, I can not guarantee that a nation that peaces out will not be hit again. We have methods in place to address this, but after about 4 days of War, the data multiplies so rapidly that it would require a paid position to keep up. Salute the Red Guard!

You have my word on that. For that matter, next round I throw down the gauntlet: We both build for 30 days, unmolested by anyone, and then fight for 30 days, mano a mano, no donations, straight up build and fight. You will be offered protection through the Lafayette Escadrille, although no access, and on day 30, we begin our fight to the death. I will give you the privilege of the first attack. If at the 30 day mark I am twice your nation strength, or you mine, then whose fault is that?

Since they won't change the scoring, limit the members of an given alliance to 150 or a certain percentage of the total players.
