  1. The motivation of TPF and their allies are far above material means. Infrastructure lies low on the priorities when the Coalition considers its response.

That sentence sounds very noble, but then we consider how long it actually took for the coalition to move and we must come to the realization that these are just words without any actions to back them up.

  2. A high government member launched a malicious spy campaign against the above mentioned alliances. Said high govt member was discovered and promptly suffered a supernatural death. He is then denounced by Ragnarok (I have yet to see this, but I assume what you have said is true) after the fact. I am sure you are aware concepts such as "Black Ops", where the government will cut loose all connections upon discovery.

Your post is a hive of errors.

He was a high goverment member a while ago, lately he simply was a member with a bit different mask.

He resigned from Rok because he was tired of the game, the assumption was that he would either go rogue somewhere or simply quit, instead he tried spent his time doing BS like spying.

As soon as the allegations against him were presented Hoo apologized and posted that he was not welcome in Rok anymore.

If you have any proof of anything else please bring it, if you do not please take your slander elsewhere.

  3. I know he apologized, but it didn't answer any questions. They were both in RoK for about a year straight at the same time, and it's hard to imagine how it wasn't found out if another alliance found out, seemingly, almost instantly.

And like I said, both are equally good in that they're equally bad CBs, and can be used if you really want one. It still doesn't excuse why athens didn't attempt diplomacy at the start, nor does that fact excuse the apparent new information (to me anyway) that TPF's allies declared during peace negotiations.

And yes, most people would like to see ZH take their licks because of this.

Tbh the whole rishk situation has a lot of questionmarks before you really reach a CB (or rather a good one). No one knows when he got that nation, or if he had it from the start (something i seriously doubt). We won't get any answers to those questions simply because there is no one left to ask.

Hoo did the only thing he could that being: Apologize and make clear that he is no longer welcome in Rok. Aside from that he can't do anything. Contrary to popular rumors Advisor is not a high goverment member in Rok.

The TPF situation on the other hand is connected to the head honcho, frankly i find the comparison insulting.

Ps: We've seen how well diplomacy with TPF works haven't we?

  4. White peace with conditions is not white peace.

Also; setting a precedent for this CB is dangerous and wholly destabilizing.

Leaving aside that those points aren't really connected i fail to see your point.

Yes the first offer was not white peace, it was a cessation of hostilities and an apology. Later offers were closer but still included something. The last offer (you know the part concerning the logs posted) which was in the process of being accepted was white peace.

Setting a precedent for any kind of CB is dangerous, but also largely irrelevant. As this war has shown no matter how airtight you consider a CB the other side always disagrees (and frankly an alliance leader conspiring to infiltrate and sabotage a different alliance is probably among the most balant of CBs i can imagine).

  5. TPF demands white peace and walks out after you dangle various unworthy options over their heads while you're still kicking the !@#$ out of them.

No, I think i got the gist of it.

If you had offered it straight away, (especially in light of recent spying from your coalition) we could all go back to hugging infra.

Well that is one way to completly change what actually happened.

Don't we usually save the re-writing history part of the war until people actually start to forget what happened?

  6. No, I'm pretty sure they ignored you when you accepted because they were giving you the finger the entire time.

omg! TPF entered into bad faith negotiations with the folks that started !@#$ in bad faith to begin with?! How horrible of them to reciprocate your outstretched gunbarrel with an upstanding middle finger!

that's a pretty nice comment from the sidelines right there. Let's assume that TPF are not completly without honor shall we? Otherwise future negotiations might be a tad difficult since they obviously couldn't be trusted if your version was correct.

  7. technically speaking, none of those options are "white peace"

white peace is simply walking away, maybe shaking hands first. Any sort of admission is not white peace

indeed. Which is why he said they let themselves be negotiated down.

The first offers included terms (if only verbal terms), then they went down and further down.

The final offer was white peace, which is where TPF left.

  8. Listen. I understand what you all are preaching here, but it still is not adding up.

i do not have full logs i can post for you but that is what happened.

Our first offer included an admission of guilt which was unacceptable to TPF.

They said complete white peace or nothing.

Tonight negotiations were ongoing and our side offered white peace.

TPF replied that these negotiations were going nowhere and walked out.

  9. One more thing that comes into play here is the timing of all of this. The attackers knew their strategy and worked more than a couple of days towards attacks on TPF. The attacks were carried out during the holidays (2 days after Christmas) and in doing so, left many of TPF's allies unavailable (OOC: busy and out of town with RL). These talks are taking longer due to these circumstances. I was an advocate of our allies when it was 2, 3 and even 4 days wait. But extending past that has just enraged more people than it's appeased.

sorry to burst your bubble but Athens "plan" went out of the window when we had to move up the attack by 22h.

The attack was organized within a single hour. From the time the first mass message was sent out within our AA to our entry it was less than 30 minutes. Believe me, if we had had 3-4 hours to draw up proper target lists and divide the nations between the alliances we would have staggered better ;)

  10. Also, it's people calling us spineless, CoC 2.0, etc that is really pissing us off more than anything else at this stage. If you look at most (not all) of the posts from TPF's allies, it's because people from the "other" side are talking !@#$ about us.

I say most, like everything else there are exceptions. Then it just turns into one of the famous "NO U" battles.

personally whether you intervene or not in the end, what confuses me the most is the delay of your response.

It's been days without an official peep out of any of TPF's allies, which is why you (as in TPF's allies) are getting trolled.

On the topic of why should we be ready for a counterattack if we believe our CB, well history has shown us that no matter how valid you think a CB is, someone always disagrees :P

  11. You call that cautioning? I would hate to see you walk an old lady across the street; can we say !@#$ kick? I would say they are pretty close, are they spot on? No of course not. Both of them are a a threat to people though.

considering the kind of stuff ADI was pulling at that point, i can easily understand Hoo blowing up at them in a pm. But in general he is not the kind of guy who wants to drive other players out of the game.

  12. To be honest, this play by RoK comes from a RL strategy used in the American legal system. During a trial, if a defense attorney find evidence that will lose the case for his defendant, he seeks to make said evidence inadmissible by making a plea to the judge that the evidence was tampered with. CN in this case would be the judge. However, the part of the log that Hoo readily admits is not a fake is admissible evidence, and it is damning.

Good play, but poorly executed. Next time you want to lie and claim that someone faked your evidence, perhaps you should claim they faked the entire thing. New Years party at Warbuck's crib for whoever wants to see the REAL logs though XD

and what you are doing is called smearing the opposition.

Ps: Regardless of the logs veracity you have still proven yourselve to be an untrustworthy sneak in any case so congratulations for that.

  13. Unless you have ulterior motives and a separate agenda, you wouldn't be calling out and goading the allies of an alliance you're punishing. Token diplomacy would be for the benefit of TPF's allies, not so much for TPF, who we all know are hardheaded and defiant. This lack of effort to keep IRON out of this war (and let's face it the main target TOP) is quite transparent.

i am not sure what you are hoping for, but i am quite happy with TOP not involved in the war.

Alterego: it is interesting how little sense you actually show. Honestly you behave as if someone had kicked your favorite puppy. A fundamental part of planet Bob is war, when evidence (true evidence actually as confirmed by mhawk himself) was given, Athens dared to declare war. GOSH how terrible! Dastardly beasts how dare they react to an act of agression in kind.

Frankly there is a time and place for diplomacy but you know plots to destroy a community through subversion don't get you much leniency.

  14. Since before it started. You went to war on information from an unreliable and untrustworthy source without any diplomatic effort to resolve the issue then spent the next couple of days doing your best to get TPFs allies to enter the war. Does this sound like its just a spy issue or Athens & Cos attempt to escalate the situation further?

That is your opinion, a rather biased one at that, without any basis in fact.

We went to war in a rather rushed manner because there was a leak and they were moving towards peacemode. If you consider the CB bogus that is your decision and right, frankly i am tired of arguing it, especielly since you seem to dislike reading our posts and instead simply repeat whatever you want to say. If the issue was that TPF was simply spying things might be different, but instead they launched a plot to sabotage and destroy if possible, frankly the only answer to such a plot is a war declaration.
