    Article I – Freedom & Sovereignty
The Phoenix Federation (henceforth TPF) and the  COMECON , recognized as ‘The Signatories’, are independent sovereign alliances and agree to respect and uphold each other’s rights as such, including but not limited to freedom of association and expression.

Article II – Protection & Defense
When faced with aggression by a third party, members of COMECON shall be treated as members of The Phoenix Federation for the purpose of military defense. TPF shall use all available avenues to provide full diplomatic, military and economic assistance to COMECON members found to be subject to unwarranted aggression of any kind by third parties. Should TPF be faced with aggression by a third party, COMECON may choose to come to the defense of TPF at the discretion of both parties.

    Article III - Non-Aggression
COMECON shall consult TPF prior to the declaration of aggressive wars. If no joint declaration of support is established by the Signatories, declarations of war either by an individual nation or group of nations of COMECON are unsanctioned. The Signatories agree to resolve any issues between themselves peacefully and in the best interest of both parties.

    Article IV - Intelligence
If COMECON or TPF come into possession of intelligence that is important to the safety, security and sovereignty of the other, they are to share it immediately. The Signatories agree not to commit espionage against the other and to respect the wishes of one another in the handling of sensitive material. This will achieve and develop aims for mutual trust, peace, international cooperation and solidarity.

    Article V – Raiding
By basic principle COMECON members shall not engage in tech raiding for the duration of this treaty unless an arrangement is reached with TPF on safe protocols for the handling of tech raiding.

    Article VI - Support
TPF shall assist COMECON in the training and education of its members for the duration of this protectorate agreement.

    Article VII - Cancellation
Either signatory may cancel this treaty after all possible means are exhausted, with a minimum of three (3) days private notice to be provided to the other signatory prior to cancellation. Should one or more of the signatories be in a state of war, the Treaty may not be cancelled until there is a cessation of hostilities unless there is mutual consent.

  2. Oh, please, if this war had gone off the way NG wanted, TPF was already pledged to go with the optional Fark treaty over all the NG-side mutuals you have (unless you all were lying to CoJ).

I've refrained from commenting on TPF gov posts like this so far because I respect TPF, but with a post like that you guys have got to the point where I'm not going to sit around and let you pretend that TPF are the flag-waiving patriots you're acting like over there.

We could have easily just sat this one out. Our treaties are non chaining as far as I'm aware, but FA isn't my area of expertise. You are right though, we did plan to go a different route in this war. It was when we noticed that one of our allies was getting, what we viewed as, unfairly dogpiled and the other wasn't even getting touched we changed our minds. If you want to demonize us for that choice then hey, go ahead. But I think we did a good thing.

Edit: Oh I think I misunderstood you. If you want to use a hypothetical situation that never came to reality to demonize us go ahead.

  3. TPF is legitimately an after thought so don't fret too much about it.

I don't know, someone had to put in some thought into how to get NADC to declare war on TPF without them having a direct line. I new what we were getting into. And I had some ideas of what would happen. But this.... I never would have expected so many oA's

  4. Even if the different alliances fighting against the MQ rogues aren't unified in how they will peace out the targets what does that matter? Never before have rogues gotten any kind of special treatment, nor will MQ. It really is easier if the individual rogues communicate with the people they are fighting and figure out what is required of them for peace. Why should this be a huge incident involving alliance policy? MQ got what they wanted... lolz, and TPF is getting what they want... fun.

Marx is easy to pick on, I can't help myself.

  5. There aren't really that many hoops to jump through people so calm down. If a nation wants peace he just needs to talk to the nations he's at war with. Just yesterday I discovered that one nation who wants to join goons wanted peace. But the nations he was at war with were unaware of this. It wasn't until marx approached a member of NATO and threatened him to peace out or else.... If you get all your wars peaced out and you join an alliance then you are safe... I won't even ask for reps.

But the rogues need to take some initiative, which isn't difficult considering the mass attack they orchestrated on TDO, and ask for peace.

  6. Neo, that was a truly dark time for TPF. We had, I believe three wars back to back, and in the last of those we asked for volunteers to fight, because we didn't feel that it was right to order our guys into more war. Post Karma we were in serious trouble with bill locked nations, and on top that we had reps to pay. If you were to peruse through that time period on our forums you see that a lot of us were in serious trouble. And it's a point of pride for us that we went through all that, we are better people because of that experience. That's why you will always meet a brick wall when you try to belittle us. I don't want you to feel sorry for us, or to even stop your scheming against us. But we deserve, as an alliance, respect. You'll never see me or anyone else in general membership disrespect another alliance outright unless provoked. And I feel that we deserve the same courtesy. Why it is that you feel the need to come in here every time and stir up nonsense, I don't know. So what was it we did to you? Because I'd love to do it again!

  7. Most people involved in wars are involved in them for a good portion, not sure how relevant that is.  The fact remains that TPF is using past wars, wars that were fought before a good portion of the nations around today existed, to prove that they are not cowards. In the same distant history, TPF has also shied away from war when it was apparent they were not going to achieve victory. Hell, mhawk had to split for TPF to even think of defending NPO in Karma.

Wasn't it you that first brought up Unjust War? And it was you that brought up how relevant prolonged wars are...

The point was that there was a claim that TPF are unafraid to lose a war, which dates back to 2011 at the latest. The last prolonged (at least, really prolonged) war TPF fought would be 2009. If we're doing distant history as a judgement, then they can be cowards for UjW as well.

The point is that we have a history of war... That can't really be denied. Your newest argument is that we "shied away from from war," and your defense for that argument is the Karma War. But we fought longer than we needed to in that war, we fought beyond the end of that war. You're not very good at this are you?

  8. Yes, TPF using Karma as a front for Operation Crucify Ourselves to Look Really Good is a valiant history of going to war. If we're talking distant history war records, let's examine the fact that TPF wanted to get out of UjW early to avoid getting rolled (prior to the excuse they used to get out)

" ...using Karma as a front Operation Crucify Ourselves" You may think in terms like that, but we don't. You clearly don't understand anything about TPF. As for your Unjust War comment that you bring up every single time the letters T.P.F. are seen, have you noticed that you're the only one that brings it up? Are you really still butt hurt about that? Were you even there? Do you understand anything about the politics leading up to that time, and the position that TPF was in? Or are you just what I expect you are... Thrice now you've been baiting us for a response and now you have it, bask in the attention, and let it fill your heart with joy. And then get up to 60k NS, I'm waiting.

  9. I'm not surprised anyone in TPF (or TPF's gov) besides JudgeX and Roadie know anything, to be honest.  They weren't allowed to do anything with other AA's. As for dirt, eh.  I don't know if I would call any of it dirt. TPF already said they were trying to get tech, and we already said it was wise for them to back off from their demands.

I typed up a long drawn out response to this but it's not worth it. I'm tired of listening to your crap. Good bye.
