  1. Proviso XII

When a bill reaches the Senate Government Consultation sub-forums the bill is to be explained to the General Assembly. It is at the President's discretion whether the the bill is presented verbatim or if the bill is summarized.

Thats the new bill GDA just ratified.

  2. This really does hamper a very prominent strategy. You want to "even up" things but this actually creates a huge rift between larger and smaller nations.

In a war I had I was getting nuked everyday without nukes. The only way I could win my land battles was to wait for my opponent to nuke me then deploy all my soldiers and tanks in an effort to even up the odds winning my land battles. Most don't take defeat alerts, they use sending all their troops and tanks overseas in an effort to pull off victories.

This really hampers any creativity left in the war system, it's becoming rather monotonous and less exciting with each update that's made to it. I agree turtling isn't a good idea but those who used self-anarchy as a means of winning GA's are now screwed. Awful, awful idea. I'm sorry.

  3. I know this is your personal opinion but you're still a GDA member.

You didn't answer my question. Who do karma need to be act better than to bring about a better future? Better than NPO? Because if that's what you mean I'd like to remind you that you're in an alliance that's one of their few remaining MADP partners thus still showing full support for their actions.

Might wanna reconcider your choice of alliance if you feel this strongly about harsh terms.

    Thanks for your response.

I think many leaders and players do understand now and see the consequences that every cause has an effect and therefore they will in the future more carefully evaluate their actions and beliefs.

I truly hope that planet bob and his community will evolve to higher moral standards but for this to happen (a change in the core beliefs)i think the community needs to see leaders and alliances who act out of selfintrest and are willing to make a sacrifice due to their beliefs.

I am definitely not pointing in any direction as i do understand that i can't demand such.

But i am sure plane bob will find their heroes .

  4. Better than what? Are you implying that your allies made something wrong?

To answer your question after the war every alliance will be responsible for their actions. Karma as a whole can't be held responsible for every alliance on bob that's not even part of them.

I'd be really happy if we saw a better bob after this war but making it karmas responsibility to do that for winning a defensive war isn't right. Regardless I don't think GDA has any place to tell others to take risks for what they belive in.

This is my personal opinion only and not GDAs general membership or government .

I just see a possible opportunity for the leaders of the alliances ,to give planet bob a better future and to seed further new moral standards in CN.

  5. I don't want to go into the argument if NPO deserves do get destroyed because of their past or because of the possibility of a future threat.

What i want to know is, if you think the leaders of Karma do recognize their chance and have some responsibility of shaping a better future by showing and giving planet bob a example how enemies are treated.

I understand the danger and risk by doing so but don't all altruistic and heroic actions come with a certain price and risk?

  7. While I don't feel that however absurdly high the reps get as a result of this it will be impossible for the NPO to pay off, the fact is they won't accept it, and while they refuse to accept the number grows, and so on and so forth. The whole ploy is just waiting to blow up in Karma's face. But it's too late to take it back now, if they try to retract it now the NPO will consider it a small victory in their favor, and lord over everyone how the resolve of karma is weakening.

I just wish I knew exactly what Karma was thinking when setting this. Assuming the NPO continues to dig its heels in the longer it goes on the worse it will appear for Karma.

Loss aversion is a concept of Social Psychology as much as economics. It is not the reality of loss that matters but the perception. Nations have gone to war until their doom because of loss aversion. It simply means you refuse to admit you made a mistake. Social Psychology Fourth Edition, Aronson et al., p. 175: "Once we have committed a lot of time or energy to a cause, it is nearly impossible to convince us that it is unworthy" The real question is "How bad do your losses have to be before you change course?" In stocks this is called capitulation
