ok well we were just recently made, were a pink team alliance, we give out 3 million in aid after 10 days of being with us but were protected by Npo, and we can get you in on alot of tech deals, WE ALSO have very good trade and economics. http://z11.invisionfree.com/Aquitaine/index.php?act=idx HERE IS OUR CHARTER Aquitaine is a Pink team alliance, but will at discretion accept members from other team colors as well. Nations who call Aquitaine their home should do their utmost to assist the alliance in whatever ways they can, be it economically, militarily or diplomatically. Our main focus is to have fun. We seek to meet the needs of Aquitaine to the defense of her members, and to assist members in achieving their maximum potential as a nation. Article I. - Naturalization In order to attain membership in Aquitaine, prospective members are required to complete the prescribed application process. You must resign as an Aquitaine member prior to joining another alliance. Failure to do so may/will result in expulsion, sanction and ZI. Conditions for Applicants (1) Applicants must not be currently engaged in any wars. (2) Applicants must not currently be a military target of an outside alliance; be they friends or enemies. (3) Dual membership is forbidden. (4) All applicants must switch to the Pink team within 15 days of acceptance into Aquitaine. (5 ) The Applicant must register for our forums, and complete the membership application. Article II. - Leadership ○ Lord Baron - A singular leader who is the head of state for Aquitaine. (A) Powers (1) Head of State - Lord Baron is the primary leader of Aquitaine and will do as he sees fit. (2) Appointments The Lord Baron Shall appoint members to Ministerial or Directorial positions as he sees fit. (3) Member Sanctions a )Determine sanctions on alliance members up to expulsion and ZI-list. (4) May amend this charter as necessary in the case of emergency or a matter of national security. (5) Any powers not delegated nor prohibited by this charter are reserved for the Lord Baron. (B ) Succession - The Lord Baron is appointed for life, and can only leave his position via resignation or impeachment. The Lord Baron shall appoint his successor with majority approval from the Councilors. (C ) Impeachment - The Lord Baron may only be impeached for the following: Treason, extended inactivity (more than 7 days) without notice, and/or general insanity. An Impeachment proceeding may be initiated by a unanimous decision of the Councilors. Impeachment requires a unanimous vote from the Councilors within a 3 day time span. ○ Councilor of Security - The CoS is the highest military position in Aquitaine. The CoS reports directly to the Lord Baron and is a Member of the Council (A) Duties (1) War planning (2) Military Policy and troop readiness (3) Military communication (4) Military Intelligence ○ Councilor of Foreign Affairs - The CoFA is the highest Foreign Affairs position in Aquitaine. The CoFA reports directly to the Lord Baron and is a Member of the Council (A) Duties (1) Diplomacy (2) Foreign Policy (3) Liaison with allies ○ Councilor of State - The CoST is the highest military position in Aquitaine. The CoST reports directly to the Lord Baron and is a Member of the Council (A) Duties (1) Internal Affairs Including a) Communications with members Recruiting and Member Intake c) Finance and Banking Article III. - Foreign Policy Aquitaine is a peaceful alliance but knows that sometimes a ploughshare needs to be lifted and melted until it makes a pretty sword. In cases where Aquitaine is bound by treaty, the Lord Baron shall make the decision on action. In the cases of offensive war 2/3's of the Councilors must concur. Section 3.01 Aquitaine will always attempt to resolve disputes via diplomacy first. Section 3.02 Aquitaine will view any attack on our members as a hostile act and retaliate in kind. Inactivity of a member is irrelevant to our enforcement of this policy. Section 3.03 Aquitaine will view any Senatorial Sanction against us or an ally (trade and/or aid of a Aquitaine member), as an act of war. Section 3.04 Aquitaine will view any spy operations against a member nation as an act of war. Article IV. - Tech-Raiding No. Article V. - Espionage Section 5.01 A member of Aquitaine may not, at any time, spy upon members within another alliance, or upon the internal affairs of Aquitaine. Members may not relinquish private information regarding the actions being taken by other alliances, and shall in turn not state to members of other alliances the confidential information of Aquitaine including, but not limited to, potential policies, political decisions or possible military conflicts. Any nation(s) discovered to be in violation of this article will be ZI’d, and if the crime is serious enough in the judgment of the Lord baron, this will be a permanent ZI. Section 5.02 As other nations consider espionage an Act of War, so does Aquitaine. Article VI: Nuclear Policy If a member of Aquitaine is attacked with a nuclear weapon, Aquitaine will allow the nuclear offender to be met with retaliatory nuclear strikes equal plus one to the number of nuclear strikes received; no government approval necessary. A nuclear first strike may only be made once permission has been granted by the Lord Baron or a Councilor though it will only be in very rare circumstances, as it is Aquitaine's policy to not do this. Article VII: Expulsion To officially expel a member of Aquitaine, the Lord Baron and 2/3s of the Council Must Agree. Article VII: Gender Neutrality If the Lord Baron is actually a Baroness, the term she shall apply and her title shall be Baroness. Article VII: Founder's Rights Any nation who joined Aquitaine in the first thirty days of her existence may call themselves a Founding Nation. New Polar Order - Aquitaine Protectorate Agreement This document codifies an agreement between friends for the New Polar Order (NpO) to offer its protection to Aquitaine. The following articles reflect the terms of that agreement. 1. Goodwill The members of NpO and Aquitaine will conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times in their interactions with each other. 2. Security No attacks, be they spy operations or military incursions, between the parties are permitted. 3. Defense a. The NpO commits itself to the protection of Aquitaine from any and all attacks, and will provide what financial or material support as is required. b. Should NpO request it, Aquitaine will offer any military or financial assistance needed. 4. Diplomacy a. Aquitaine agrees to notify NpO of any diplomatic agreements that it plans to sign by giving 48 hours notice prior to signature. b. Aquitaine agrees to serve the interests of NpO at all times on the Pink Sphere. 5. Cancellation a. This pact may be canceled with 5 days notice, as posted on the OWF or alternately by posting in the other alliance's forum, as appropriate. b. Section 2: The President The President holds terms of 2 months at a time then the alliance elects a new one or if the current president wins the election he'll remain President. The President Holds power to make new laws, or codes, or even the right to deny or accept new members. Section 3: The Minister of Foreign Affairs The Minister of Foreign Affairs holds the power to get treaties with other alliances, or get Protectorates. they have a term of 2 months also. They hold power to accept or deny applications too. Section 4: Minister of Internal Affairs The Minister of Internal Affairs holds power for 2 months too. he or she deals with the things inside our alliance dealing with money, anger, problems, and making sure everyone is growing. Section 5: Minister of Defense The minister of defense is exactly what title says. he commands the army to attack or defend us. He needs to be very experienced in time of war. He will make alot of executive decisions on if we should allow tech raids or not. holds position for 2 months. Section 6: Minister of Recruitment The min of recruitment deals with recruiting alot of members. also he deals with bumping our forum on the Cn forum and will make our alliance forum for this. he should get a couple of members a week at the ver minimum. Section 7: Tech Raiding? for now i do not allow tech raiding simply because were too small and we need to grow first before doing this.
