  1. An alliance 'matters' because of what it stands for, how capable it's leaders and soldiers are and how dependable it's displomats are for resolving situations.

That last section is currently irrelivent to Vox Populi AKA it's something that they do not need at this point in time considering it's aims and objectives.

That and Pacifica's seemingly 'deaf ears' in such matters.

EDIT: Actually no, there's one major thing I forgot: the community.

The comradeship between players means more than anything else in any alliance. It gives you a reason not to disband when One Vision finds an excuse to attack you with half of Cybernations.

  2. A message to tonyt, AluminumLumber, Song Josh Liz, KagetheSecond, Eternal Night and Lazyman.

Between you you've recived $18,070,000 and 160 tech in aid, and I'm still butchering the soldiers you send in after me

Seriously, how can you have both an advantage in numbers and firepower but still lose on average three times that of which you kill. Hell, were it not for cruise missiles you would be in anarchy by now.

  3. I agree with this thread on some levels, Vox Populi is not a crusade of knights in shining armour, but the lesser of two evils containing a large number of diverse people who have been wronged by Cybernations' Zi obsessed invasion monkeys at some point or another.

The fact that it is the lesser of two evils means very little considering the 'evils' it's being compared to, but at least they’re willing to try and fight.

  4. This represents the lies Vox spouts. The fact is is that as soon as the war ended, the NPO immediately began to do all it could to help rebuild the Legion. Our policy has not wavered from aiding them since the end of the last conflict.

The Order appears to have very different ideas about rebuilding than everyone else, I wont point anything out but I will say that the Legions sudden and undying loyalty to the NPO after this war was somewhat thought provoking.

Historical Revisionism. The NPO never planned on standing alone in the Great Patriotic War. It was the betrayal of the allies that caused the two Orders to fight alone…

Now you see I wouldn’t call that betrayal, I’d call that abandonment. Betrayal is when you backstab a fallen alliance under your protection for a number of wayward members.

On another note, I applaud this speaker for saying why he is in the alliance. Considering the amount of threads we have to listen to from Vox Populi about why Pacifica is doing X and Y and how they were persecurted.

I would think they would have more respect for a common player to post.

I agree that the number of threads by Vox Populi players is approaching the point of the ridiculous but they were not persecuted, a number of those who I have spoken to simply want to turn Cybernations back into a game. Not a One Vision empire.

I also take it you are discluding Josef Thorne from that group of ‘common players.’

Thats the difference between us, Pacifica has a track record of taking action to help people it sees needs help,

To help people and to influence severe changes within their beliefs, values and government. Usually involving a viceroy in some way.

May I remind you of the GATO-1V war? or have you forgotten that already? your government claimed to have received no offers of surrender for months on end until it was posted by GATO in the official forums.

  5. So does that mean our leaders have Goa'ulds in them?

OOC: The face behind the mask of Vox Populi:

    Number 3

It's a game we all know it.. correct ? some people would be happy spending 10 minutes a day collecting and buying infa.. The GPA provided a great service to those individuals, what happened to them??

There is a good chance that Pacifica happened. Or 'influenced' a happening.

  6. ...Vox of butt hurt...

You know, i've always had a very low opinion of the NPO's majority. But I neverthrought that a member would resort to crude insults until now.

    ...

I wish you luck on your career in the Noob Pacific Order.

As such, I am only hoping that the Vox of the butt hurt keeps on rolling 24/7 with their spam and trolling,....that actually rhymes dawg lol.

    *sees irony in this*

But yeah, at this point, I do believe that saturation point is hit, and thus the laws of what happens when you overdo things will start to kick in.

I bet you're amazed that the NPO isn't having a mass rebellion every month then.

  7. They have a great advantage over any other alliance. They aren't bound by tradition or common courtesy and actively recruit members from other alliances. The fact that this gives every other alliance free CB is nothing to them of course, because the are the 'voice of the people'. Breaking one of CN's most universally accepted laws will always help with recruiting.

Would this be Pacifica's version of 'common courtesy' or that of the general public?

And I can't see what's wrong with not having traditions, especially as your major tradition seems to revolve around oppression, occupation and trolling.

  8. Politics is far more in depth and complicated than you assume. Perhaps your inability to recognise this accounts for your political position today.

Indeed it is, I simply chose to refer to the politics which you would most be familiar with.

As for the second comment, I was not aware that utter !@#$%^& was a political position. Thank you for informing me of that.

  9. My apologies if I was using terminology over your head there. I will try to dumb it down in future.

I believe that would be best for your speeches to NPO's general assembly in the future.

CyberNations has a material reality -- its rules and laws, mechanical and political.

If by 'political' you mean trolling, threats of violence, fear mongering, smear campaigns and another forms of both simplistic (and for lack of a better word) 'underhand' governmental leadership.

And some of the more 'material' laws are enforced with threats of perma ZI and nukes, then yes I agree.

  10. The War on Reality... good luck with that.

That comes across as being somewhat ironic when you consider that Cybernations is merely an online game composed of ones and naughts, not reality.

It might help you to understand this, by switching off the computer once in a while.
