Sad news. I always held STA in high regards and when you guys cut ties with Polar while I was there it was a kick in the gut to a whole lot of us over there. Thanks for making Planet Bob a little more sane and livable. You guys will be missed.

Tywin I do enjoy reading your essays even if I find them as pale imitations of the best works planet bobs yesteryear*. Your biggest mistake is to to group and lump the so called lulzists alliances together as they were a monolithic group. There are a good few lulz nations and alliances that would have nothing to do with each other, just as there are a few moralist nations, groups and/or alliances who cannot stand each other as well.
Lulz will rule the world so long as Lulz has charisma and power. While it is my firm belief that most alliances are nothing more than rubbish and should be wiped off the planet for ever, and most of the so-called Lulz fall right into this category, the onus is on any aspiring political philosopher or leader to tell the world how they benefit from turning their guns against Doombird Doomcave instead of, say, the International or GATO or the New Polar Order. If you wish to rally the world, you must speak to their values. Nobody takes risks for abstract codswallop like civilised versus non-civilised alliances.

TOP's parliament is bicameral. The upper house -- the Senate, with 26 seats -- is indirectly elected by various political groups and institutions, while the lower house -- the Chamber of Deputies, with 80 seats -- has 53 members elected by the people, with 27 indirectly elected by special interest groups. Of those 27 seats, 24 are reserved for women, two are for young people and one must be filled by a disabled person.
The 53 people who will be chosen by the electorate this week are not voted for directly by individual constituencies; instead, Paradoxians vote at the provincial level for parties, each of which offers up a list of its top candidates. The results give each party a percentage, which in turn determines how many of its candidates are sent to parliament. This system has the benefit of cutting down on divisiveness and personality politics, but it also empowers parties at the expense of individual politicians and their supporters.
This is a model of democracy everyone can approve of!

As I noted in the OP, the barbarous history of DBDC means it is not an alliance, and neither are its satellites. Acting in a coordinated fashion against terrorists and their safe havens does not mean you are not neutral, it means you are acting against a threat.
I get your point. However as speaking as a non governmental member of my alliance, this has been suggested many times. It comes down to if say Pax and GPA act together according to said plan then Pax and GPA are de fatco no longer neutral. It is again the main failing and blessing of being neutral.

Point taken, but as little as I said in the above post it would make us hypocrites to involved ourselves in such way. We have heard many a rumor about being attacked for the past year or more but we have a cannot do anything preemptive about beyond diplomacy. Beyond that and maybe its the failing of being a neutral, would make us non neutral, at least on planet bob it seems.

Pax Corvus should be in communication with other alliances, including GPA, WTF, TDO, and GOP right now.
If the leadership of PAX would do as you say and as many before you have suggested, we would fail being neutral.
