Okay you're really not doing anything now except squabble over numbers that are pretty much irrelevant and not refuting any point I'm making. With 25 nations, that's 40 million dollars and 2000 technology per nation. Your alliance is going to end up with more technology than infra.
All im doing is ensuring you got the right numbers, I didnt come here to argue with anyone.

That's all well and good. That takes the amount of nations receiving the aid down to 23, which makes the calculations seem even more absurd.
This just amounts to extortion.

This may be the first and last time I ever agree with Pacifica, but these reps are just absolutely and completely ridiculous for an alliance of your size. You didn't take that kind of damage and you didn't deal that kind of damage out. This is the equivalent of the skinny guy at a curbstomp kicking someone who's already unconscious.
You have 26 members, 3 of whom have seniorities that indicate they didn't fight in this war. What are you trying to do by forcing these sort of reparations, bankroll every aid program an alliance like yours could ever possibly want? I wasn't aware that was the purpose of reparations.
Everyone who shall be recieveing reperations for OV, fought in the war. Not everyone was in OV during the war however, but still fought all the same against NPO.

Hopefully OV will be able to provide all the aid targets needed to receive these reps in a timely fashion in accordance with the terms.
And if they are not, then their reps will hopefully be diverted to another alliance so as to not needlessly extend the terms because of the recipient's inability to receive the reps.
Seeing as you guys didn't even fill all our aid slots for the first round of reps, having only 2 of our guys have all there slots filled and then to even have some of the nations have no aid offers at all, you can't really punt the blame onto us should the terms prolong due to unpaid reps.

You said when they were first offered but then when they got knocked down to this point were the reps updated to still go for only a third of the tech? Now I get wanting to keep them down militarily for a while which is the decommision all your military stuff and I would get paying some reps but since it is focused on these few nations wont that make it where they may not want to play anymore? They wont be growing at all because all their tech is going to you guys and if they leave they would get destroyed so they may just say Im done with this game or I am going to create a new nation. If that starts happening doesnt that pretty much destroy Echelon?
As far as I know, the reps offered remained the same from when they were first offered (around a month ago I believe).
If we had wanted to completly destroy echelon we wouldn't of offered them any terms at all, I can assure you, if those Echelon nations were wanting to leave Echelon they would of prolly done so a long time ago, through surrendering indivdually. They have stuck with their comrades through 2 months? of war.

To be completely honest I'm tired of trying to explain to people with low comprehension what our actions are, so instead I'm just going to enjoy the flow of tears. A lot of you are absolutely hilarious to read.
Things I learned today.

First time posting so here it goes. So looking at the terms it says under 1a that no nation below 1000 tech can pay the reps so out of curiousity I went and look at Echelon and counted only 25 nations, could be off, that have 1000 tech. So that means 25 people have to pay all those reps. Now not only that but no one in Echelon is allowed to accept external aid which means those lower nations cant do tech deals with anyone outside the alliance untill those terms are paid off. So to me this just seems like a way to take all of Echelons tech and stagnate them for a long time to come is it not?
Yes, it is the exact idea for us to stagnate Echelon's regrowth.

One of the more annoying factors is when fighting an opponent who you have a much greater land advantage over, so that when you attack you are gaining a very small percentage (if win GA) of the amount you lose if your opponent is succesful in their GAs. Its because of this that my land has plummeted by over 3000 miles.
There needs to be a way whereby the amount of land you can raze is also limited by the amount of land you currently have, and not the amount your opponent has.

I go out of my way to say that this discussion is great! While I (obviously) don't know about the facts I can read the speeches here, and thus develop an opinion over the character and the attitude of those that make them.
Now what do we have (with a few notable exceptions, of course):
- General mockery of the opponent - done!
- «Private Channels FTW» - done!
- "Veiled" threats in response to criticism - done!
- Asking for evidence, or more evidence, or even more evidence, all the while claiming that it's false, twisted etc. - and all the while refusing to provide any evidence whatsoever - done!
- Contemptuous remarks over the opponent's "competence" - done!
- Condescending attitude when giving any sort of information - done!
I fear we will have again to wait for the next "revolution"?...
A bit off topic isn't it jerdge? It's usually you telling everyone to be on topic, posting IC/OOC in the right forums etc.

Both CSN and GOD have come to the government and talked to us about both this situation and the terms violations. The GDA gov agreed with their decisions and has no ill feelings towards CSN and GOD. I personally apologize to all of CN for Rajistans accusations towards the actions of CSN.
Also: Don't attack your own government, its not that smart....
OP read this post carefully, as this is the 2nd time someone from GDA has posted stating the situation has been resolved.

That wasn't her point whatsoever.
The point i gained from her post was that we (GOD) prolonged the war longer than we should of for the wrong reasons.
My response, as that was how i interpreted her post, stating that its not the losing side who decides when the war finishes, its the winning side.

It's pretty pathetic, honestly. Coming from GOD, I'd have expected something a little more..... Well, actually nevermind. I'd have expected exactly this from that group.
It's pretty amusing that Kait has all of GoD & Nemesis whipped to the point that they'll take on her old grudge via proxy. Are you satisfied now, KaitlinK? Do you need more blood from those that chose to leave your loving embrace to embark upon their own journey, or is your thirst quenched?
Make no mistake, the time that it took AB to get peace had absolutely nothing to do with this war or the manner in which AB entered. It was a brutal display of vengeance on behalf of MA and Kait, for perceived injustice done long ago when AB formed. Just look at the alliances left in the conflict. They are all core NPO allies, minus 64Digits, who have stated that they'll die with TPF if need be. AB wanted peace long ago, and I'm fairly certain that GOD did everything in their power to stop that from happening in a timely fashion. Why? A grudge. One disgruntled alliance founder that lost some of her most talented members.
I will say that as the victors, that it is their right to impose whatever they wish upon the surrendering alliance(s). However, keep in mind the name of this war while you're busily avenging your little innocent angel KaitlinK. Karma is a !@#$%*, as many are finding out now. You lot are just setting up your turn on the tilt-a-whirl.
Be careful. The next tech raid target GOD declares JIHAD on might actually win.
I didn't realise it was up to the losing side when they can surrender.

this notion that they have to stop being friends because one made a mistake somewhere down the line is... well, its not right.
sure you are going to come back and yell at the top of your lungs 'lol npo was nothing but mistakes and evil this and evil that blah blah blah' but i would beg to differ on that point.
NPO haven't made just one mistake over there time, but i will concede that every decision made and actions taken were mistakes. Regardless if you agree or not, its much more logical than the argument of 'you hate on TPF as they aren't fighting with you'.
@azureshadow - as has been posted many a time, where are the terms stating perma ZI, viceroys, removing govt members etc etc from karma?

In other words, they jumped to your side, TPF didn't. It has nothing to do with their policies. TPF banned EZI a while back. Not to mention the various people that Slayer, that evil old tyrant, has personally helped get off PZI/EZI. He even went to bat for FAN. Is that not "correcting the direction of the ship"? Should TPF have instead conveniently "reorganized it's treaties" a couple weeks before the war? Is that your idea of "correcting the direction of the ship"? I'm not saying that everyone who canceled on NPO did it for pixels or power, certainly not, but some of them did. These alliances are viewed as having "corrected the direction of the ship", and are instantly absolved of any past crimes. Anyone who stuck with NPO, however, is immediately denounced as evil, regardless of any changes in policy. It has nothing to do with what any of these alliances did or what they deserve, and everything to do with whether or not they fought for you.

I would say the hate towards TPF is more to do with the consensus of holding a treaty with NPO shows you support them and their actions, as opposed to people seeing TPF as evil because they are on the wrong side.

Opinions don't usually change much, unless there's a particular event that causes it to happen, but the public expression of those opinions certainly can. The truth is that Continuum has been, almost from its beginning, a political treaty for the mutual security and power projection interests of the signatories, who never really had that much in common in the first place. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with that, but it means that when it no longer provides security or a power base, there isn't any reason to stay.
I'd expect to see the bloc pretty much completely evaporate by the time this is over, because it is no longer able to perform the job it has been doing for the last twelve months.
And they said that Q would be nothing like WUT and would never break. Lets just hope that if any blocs arise in the future, they are based on friendship and trust (like the Citadel and SF blocs) and not for the sole purpose of power.

I'm amazed that people are calling these terms harsh, to those who it would be interesting to see what would you would call the terms that were actually 'harsh' in the past.
War isn't about a little scuffle and then both sides walking away hand in hand, its ensuring the losing side know they lost.

white peace or nothing, if TFO or IS don't agree then we keep fighting, it should be as simple as that.
one problem there, this whole thread was to announce you already have peace and will get peace under those terms stated. If you have any grievances with it maybe you should speak to your government.

oh and since people are advocating that karma is all about white peace i would recommend karma alliances dropping any treaties with these profiteers, you wouldnt want to be empowering extortionists now would you
ps: i await the white peace you guys are going to give tpf, gga, mcxa, echelon, iron, and everyone else who simply honored their treaties. since thats what karma is all about.
Not sure who gave you the idea that what 'karma is all about' is giving everyone white peace in a war.

I would like to offer my deepest thanks to AB for coming into this war for us. You are a steadfast ally and we wish you the best for the rebuilding after this war!
Also, a salute to TTK, as I imagine them being a good alliance for the way they treated AB!
And here's too all of us still remaining in this madness that is this war! Onwards to lower bills I say!
AB is still in the war, us (GOD) haven't let them go yet. I might be wrong in saying but i think someone else is still at war with them as well.
