  1. Fred left Shuru in charge but he never left TGE nor necessarily resigned as the Emperor, in fact, he said he was going on vacation. Shuru attempted to remove any possible chance of K-Fred coming back and retaking the throne. I really don't feel like getting into this now, we all know what happened. Let's not try to sugarcoat it.

I'm not even going to try to fight with you on this. Every post you make is still misinformed. You weren't even in TGE when this happened. I suggest you stick to what Valdemar told you to do last night and stop fighting for TGE when it's not wanted.

  2. Crossbowman resigned from TGE and wanted his own alliance, I believe. And he liked you guys so he thought he would ask for a protectorate from you and you treated him coldly according to what I have been told.

Marx, you might want to recheck your sources, because all of the information you're getting is a tad off.

    You know, just a tad.

    Edit:

Alright, ya got me. We're attacking in 48 hours.

Along with the rest of the Continuum. And Bob. And everyone wearing those tin foil hats.

  3. Marx is a former gov member of TGE, formerly second only to the Emperor. He knows TGE well. You would be foolish to question that.

Now, this post caught my attention.

Now, maybe I'm stupid, but Marx is in IPA.

And how is he, or was he, only second to the Emperor?

And you're insinuating that Marx is the only one that can have friends in TGE?

And if anything, relations between TGE and TSI have been growing nicely, and we've been trying to help them through their current problems. So I would dare say that maybe you should reconsider the idea that TSI would know nothing.

  4. I agree.

As for who may attack who as a result of this, the treaty web is too damn complicated to figure out! :P

Oh my gosh, here's an idea.

Maybe NADC actually did tell everyone the real reason, and they just do not feel that the friendship between NADC and TGE has been upheld.

And maybe, just maybe, no one wants to take out TGE, they just need to look at themselves internally and get their act together.

But no, that must be crazy! Of course everyone must have hidden motives, since we all sneak around behind each other's backs like little trolls with vendettas.

    /me resighs.

Edit: This is not me trolling your post, Rextu, just making an exasperated response to the 45028962 replies of, "Oh, they're gonna get rolled!"

  5. Ah, I see how it is. Fok announces that they're keeping the status quo (they're keeping ties to their former protectorate, how shocking) and are hailed as having honor. NADC cancels a treaty (that they would have honored and still will probably honor for the next 48 hours) with an alliance from whom they had drifted apart and no longer felt they had the needed friendship to support (I've been there) and are criticized for being cowards, puppets, or having no balls.

Those that lament the proliferation of treaties that they see as empty should be hailing this. Here is an alliance canceling a treaty because it had become empty and no longer reflected what relations actually were. They didn't keep it for appearances or for power, two reasons some alliance leaders seem to think are shallow reasons to have a treaty, and yet they're still criticized. You may not like NADC or agree with this move, but at least it changes something. You're welcome to hail the status quo, but I'll be welcoming the change.

Good luck to both parties in the future and I hope you find the love again.

I would like to quote this post because I love it, and instead of reiterating my post that I just said in FOK's thread, since I know people won't read all 15 pages, I'll just requote it:

I would like to raise a question.

If you have a treaty partner that is giving you no communication, and relations with them have dropped to nothing, then why do you keep the treaty around? Why does something always have to have a hidden meaning or a secret attack behind something? I for one, believe that if you have an empty treaty, it's pointless to keep it around. Actions like keeping empty treaties around are what lead to such sudden breaks before an attack, as some are suggesting. Now maybe I'm out of the loop, but I don't know of anyone gunning for TGE, and don't see NADC running from anything. Therefore, I can see why this was posted, but I don't know why all the NADC bashing is needed.

But then again, maybe it's just the trend to keep empty treaties these days.

    /me sighs.

  6. Nothing wrong with dropping dated treaties, the reason NADC is getting bashed in here some is because few give them credit enough to make that decision without being prodded (how many people do you honestly know that audit and cancel ODPs? There's people with MDoAP's on this game that hate each other, for crying out loud). Therefore, most are concluding - however rightly - that NADC is merely fulfilling a back room request to drop an ally.

Something not a lot of people are big fans of, apparently.

If anything, I would contribute the opinion that any treaty should be audited as such. If you have a treaty, of any level, and it's not worth the paper it's not even on, then why keep it? It's the way I look at my treaties. If I don't have a trustable friendship with the alliance I'm treatied to, then I'm not about to keep that treaty. Now I would like to fancy myself as knowing a bit about NADC since I was almost one of their protectorates, and I would venture to say that they share the same mindset as me. When it comes down to it, I think of myself as an honorable person, and If the other alliance I'm treatied to isn't holding up on their end, then they don't deserve that honor. That's simply how I view treaties, and how I believe treaties should be viewed. And I think NADC is starting to follow along the same viewpoint. They're in a growing and shaping period, and maybe more alliances would realize that honorable treaties are the way to go.

  8. I offered my opinion on why things were tense and hypothesized that this is just one of many factors that led to this cancellation. You have to admit that the situation between TGE and TSI earlier on didn't help with TGE's relations with TPF.

    Edit: Revised. Need more coffee.

I would suggest that we not get on this topic, on the worry that I might get very angry in remembering such a time.

  9. Oh but of course you do, good sir. You would certainly know about how competent TGE's leadership is considering they were more than capable of catching wind of your devious nature and threw you out before you could act. Leave your bitterness at the door and say something of importance, please.

Well, he certainly didn't help the situation along any with his actions. That much I can confirm.

As far as I know, and from what my friends in TGE tell me, Flinders was trying to organize a coup using TGE's Military staff and that backfired. He was asked to leave quietly and on his own, and he did. Anything that happened after that, I don't know. So now he is just using this announcement to get out his bitterness over his failed scheme all the while making himself look like a fool in the process.

This whole situation is a mess either way. I made an attempt to try and repair relations by being friendly with TSI as TGE's Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time because I realized if we continued to allow bitter relations to continue with TPF's protectorate, they would eventually grow tired of it and drop their MDoAP with us all together. However the situation was still very tense and that is definitely a big factor in all this tension here between TGE and TPF right now. So the plan backfired, there were some issues and I left for the betterment of myself after some disputes with the Former Chancellor. This situation was completely avoidable, but unfortunately it played out like I knew it would and tried to prevent.

Edit: Left out "the". Coffee is our friend

Last time I checked, this has nothing to do with Flinders, and I'm sure Flinders has absolutely no bearing upon TGE and TPF's treaty.

Second, TGE and TSI have actually had some fairly good relations since you've left. I've had a few chats with Sargon, and a few of the members and us talk daily. Yes, there were tensions and problems for a while, a fact that I'm sure you remember well, but that time has passed, and I'm not about to hold a stupid grudge when I have an alliance to nurture. My time worrying about TGE is gone, therefore, I hold no tension except worry for my own home.

  10. I sent you a message via pm, asking the question. I would like an answer please. Thank you.

I would like to point out in this madness that Magicninja is not in TPF. Therefore, even though most people know, heck, even I know, it would not be appropriate to talk to someone who is not in TPF Gov. I would suggest you look to TPF Gov, which should be available before your lovely school day.

  11. So we were all jammin’ one day, when we realized that GRAN was getting pretty hot, and we hadn’t tied them down yet. I mean, come on, you know the best ones get away if you don’t tie 'em down quick. So we decided we leik, so we went to the quarter dispenser down the street ‘cause we decided to put a ring on it and got this cute little

diamond ring. ‘Cause we don’t like it when we’re at the club and another alliance starts hittin’ on our Men. It’s some srs bsns folks when somebody all up dancing on your treaty partner’s leg, and we don’t want to hurt nobody, so no BS. So without further ado, here’s the show.

    The NO BS Pact

    nobsub9.jpg

    Preamble

Both The Sasori Initiative and Global Republic of Armed Nations, having discovered a bond with each other based on respect, brevity and a common birthplace in the Cyberverse as well having realized that we share so many other common traits have decided to affirm our previously-unofficial support for one another with this treaty. We also want to state that we're not into the BSing around anymore.

    I. Sovereignty

The Sasori Initiative and the Global Republic of Armed Nations recognize each other as sovereign entities. Neither party will engage in covert or overt attempts to maliciously influence the others choices be they in foreign or internal affairs. Basically, we're tired of people messing with us and we're going to show we're not into that ourselves.

    II. Non-Aggression

Neither signatory will be involved in military aggression towards the other. If there is a nation responsible from either side that violates this part of the pact, both sides shall work toward a resolution of the matter in a responsible and respectful manner including the discussion of reparations. In short, we're mature leaders of nations and we don't need to start screaming over accidental raids and the like.

    III. Diplomatic Relations and Expectations

Both alliances will be friendly in communications towards one another in all public dealings and communications including, but not limited to, declarations on the Open World Forum and in the public IRC channels of both parties. In private, both alliances are free to express their honest opinions. To summarize, we play nice where everyone can see but we respect each other enough to encourage bluntness and honesty rather than the usual sugar-coating and dancing around the important issues - we just don't like that nonsense.

    IV. Defense

In the event that one of the signatories of this treaty is attacked, the other party is highly encouraged, though not obligated, to provide any and all assistance including intelligence, diplomatic, financial and military aid up to full military intervention. What that means is that if you attack one of us, there's a really good chance the other one is going to show up none-too-pleased. If you want to find out how good that chance is, please, come on by.

    V. Aggression

Should one signatory of this treaty engage in an offensive war with a third party, the other party is encouraged to provide the same assistance as they would under Article IV. To keep it simple, if one of us feels strongly motivated to go to war the other is going to trust that there's a right-good reason behind it and might very well come along since an insult against one of us isn't going over well with the other. We all like to get out of the house once in a while, after all.

    VI. Cancellation

Barring a blatant violation of parts II or III of this treaty (unlikely), should one party feel that they're no longer interested in setting the standard for keeping the BS out and instead want to start back up with the same old nonsense they left behind, they need only give notice 604,811 seconds ahead of time and the treaty will be considered void.

  12. I'm not a member of TGE government.

    Erm?

...In the event, however, that a bill is passed by the Reichstag, the Prussian House of Lords and approved by the Imperial Chancellor, it cannot be vetoed by the German Emperor...
...Should the security of the German Empire warrant, the German Emperor may declare martial law with the consent of the majority of the Reichstag and the majority of the Prussian House of Lords...
A majority vote accompanied by approval of the German Emperor, the Imperial Chancellor, the Prussian House of Lords and the Minister of War is necessary for the declaration of war.

Now, the above statements come directly from the German Empire Constitution, announced at the end of November.

This statement, as made by Kaiser Frederick, was posted at the end of December.

With the new Imperial Constitution, which has revived the great Prussian House of Lords, and the return of nobility, I find it only fit, and a honor to ennoble His Excellency once more. Thus, I hereby ennoble His Excellency, Vlad Dracula as Count of East Prussia, his official name within the glorious German Empire will be Count von Dracula. smile.gif

    o/ Count von Dracula

    o/ The German Empire

Now, using logic, and reading the above statements, I would conclude that you are a Government member, and a bit of a serious one. Unless something has changed in the past three weeks?

    I'm just wondering.

Since mhawk probably said it better, I'll keep this short. The Sasori Initiative was founded on the principles of honesty, loyalty, and brotherhood. Tonight, we go to war to honor those very ideals. The Phoenix Federation, our protector and good friend since our inception, has been misled by the forces of Soldier. We now stand with them to correct this wrong and show that the bond between our alliances is more than just words.

As of 11:00 CST the Sasori Initiative, with the approval of the Initiative Council and with the assent of the Empress, recognizes a state of war with Soldier.

Also, I would like to add that this is a Declaration of Love for TheBigBad, a declaration of eternal sexiness for Slayer, and a declaration of eternal cuddly innocence for mhawk. Thank you.

  14. Denzin and I were good friends. I remember calming him down and talking him through many problems. We confided many things in each other, and I will miss him dearly. The last conversation I had with Denzin was him trying to help me pick out funny tshirts. I ordered seven of them, most of which he picked out. I will always remember him as the goofy guy joking about the unicorn missing Noah's Ark. He was a wonderful person, and a wonderful friend. He will definitely be a person I won't ever forget.

    ...Rest in peace Denzin.
