    I'm also glad that TOP/NpO have finally abandoned the lie about this war being about NSO.

    Yeah the real reason for this war is about as original as Lannister's attempt at aping Sir Paul.  Gotta love how all the threads regardless of their topic devolve into yada yada burn NPO rabble die die die NPO. The last few pages of TIOs declaration in defense of NATO ..... <drum roll> yep! you guessed it! NPO! /me rolls eyes

     

    And Sir Paul - the sing-alongs just get better and better!  Keep 'em coming!  :wub:

    Considering this war is a rather direct result of his and your alliance's actions, as your superior stated in this very DoW, it is a bit hard not to discuss him.

    Yeah yeah.  I get it.  It is still pretty amusing how many *young men* just cannot seem to discuss anything else.  I actually miss Brehon in this world - he surely kept things lively, but I have moved on and I AM in his old alliance.  Hard for me to understand why others can't.

     

     

    And by far one of you very best works Sir Paul. o/

    Dear Brehon,

    I am writing to inform you that you have made a mistake, a slight on your membership, which needs redress:

    During the EQ War, in a naive attempt to motivate people, someone in the coalition [I can't recall his name offhand] opened an engagement stats thread.  As any cynic (or realist) could have told that guy, he instead opened a new thing to argue over.

    In the course of the thread, MCRABT--then in IRON--asked why NPO's upper tier was not fighting.  Here is where you have given your comrades short shrift.  You told MCRABT (and so us all) that NPO's upper tier was not fighting because they were all inactive banks.  In doing so, you did not note that 2 (perhaps as many as 3) upper tier nations were fighting, and were not inactive banks. 

    As you might imagine, this slip, while it might seem insignificant, has resulted in the belief in your words of everyone who read your words, and thus in the frustration of the 2 or 3 upper tier nations who did, apparently, fight.

    I leave it to you to bring this matter to a close with the honorable Fighting Handful in private.

    Are you obsessed with Brehon?  He has not been around in what, months? Is this all any of you have to talk about?  Every other post mentions his name it seems.  Like it or not you all will have to carry on without him - if you can.

    What did you guys expect?  That we would travel back in time, gather the FAN army of old that made half the world piss itself in fear and the other half cry like children and transport them all to the future.  If that were possible I would surely do it.  But it is not and you should be happy for that.  And frankly if I could pull that off it certainly wouldn't be just to kill you folks.

     

    We get it.  We are no longer the most feared alliance on the planet.  What is left are a bunch of stubborn bastards that simply will not die off.  The fact is we will never get back to the same level of sheer destructive force that the FAN army of the past had.  The other fact is that nobody else has ever been able to achieve that level either.  We might never get back there, but at least we were there once.  Which is a hell of a lot more than anyone else can say.

     

    I am glad you refused to die off!.  Welcome to the war FAN!   o/
