  1. Thank you for investigating. I still don't understand why bills rose 600K on Jan 1 and didn't come back down when I moved Mars wonders, but as long as numbers are right now, that's all I can ask for.
  2. I moved my Mars mine Jan 8, to 100% efficiency. Bills still at 7.7M instead of 7.1. Same true on Jan 9. At 23 days inactive, I had to pay bills and collect taxes. I added some infra, so bills are now 8.1M. Daily bill cost still shows 8.1M. I am still losing (since Jan 2) 600K per day in overbilling for bills because of the bug in the Mars base. Please advise. Thank you.
  3. Nation: Hellenike Ruler: Oloros Nation_ID=199739 What: I moved my Mars Base to improve from 50% efficiency to 100% efficiency, but my daily bill cost did not go back down to its previous level. Background (where, when, and how): I collect taxes every 20 days, but pay bills daily. I only make improvements (generally infra, sometimes tech) the day I collect, just before collecting. On December 31 I had not collected taxes for 14 day. My daily bill throughout the 14 days was 7.1M per day. On January 1, when my Mars Base went from 100% efficency to 50% efficiency, my bills went up to 7.7M. Later on January 1, I moved my Mars base, which put it back at 100% efficiency, but my daily bill cost did not go down, it remained at 7.7M, and has remained there since. I have not paid bills since, hoping to get this fixed before paying bills. Notes: I also moved my Mars Colony and Mine on January 2nd. My colony went back to 100% efficiency, but I made a mistake with my Mars Mine, and it only went to 58% efficiency. That was my error and it should affect the Mars Mine bonuses, but not the infra upkeep bonus, which comes solely from the Mars Base. to the best of my knowledge.. Tomorrow, January 8, I will be able to move my Mars Mine again, and will do so. Perhaps this will fix my lack of infra upkeep bonus (I hope so), but if so, it is still a bug, because the Mine should not affect bill payment as far as I know. If it does not fix the problem, then there must be some other bug which is keeping my bills at 7.7M daily instead of 7.1M. Thank you.
  4. I now have 7 total events since the changes were put in, and 6 have been negative, and each one hurt. (My two current bad events cost me $4 and $5 citizen income, respectively.) For a game that is generally well constructed and savvy, this event mix with bad ones predominating, good ones being less positive than the bad ones are negative, and so many of them (I had 4 running concurrently before the cut to three max; I have 3 now), is really, really stupid. C'mon, admins, fix this idiocy! Game ain't no fun when paying bills and collecting taxes is a dreaded event. Took me 12 days to get 3 events, so nothing will run out for another 2 1/2 weeks.
  5. You've been quite lucky compared to most folks I've heard from, getting negative events that don't hurt you. All five of my negative events have hit citizen income or happiness or population. One lowered both citizen income and happiness, even after it was 'toned down'. So count your lucky stars, and, oh, knock on wood!
  6. The preponderance of bad events is certainly taking the enjoyment out of the game. When the most basic actions of the game, collecting taxes and paying bills, fill you with dread, the enjoyment is sucked out of the game. The only reason I haven't quit (6 events, 5 of them negative, since the event changes) is that in the past the admins have generally fixed things they've screwed up. I'm relying on that happening again, eventually. Otherwise, I'll be gone. Right now it is masochistic to play the game. Why bother? edit: suggestion: balance the events by making most of them contain in each option something good and something bad. There could still be a few 'all good' and 'all bad' events, but make most event options give you both a positive and a negative. If the positive and negative changes are of wide variety (not just citizen income and happiness, whose effects are so easy to calculate), it would add interest to choosing options in events, instead of just disgust.
