Stamford: Yes, it certainly is a problem when the leadership goes a tad trigger-happy, and you can't walk away from it (as much as one wants to). But perhaps NoV is jumping the gun on this one. I don't know all sides of the story, but perhaps this rogue was not working with the assistance of LSF.
I can guarantee you that I was fortunate enough to see evidence. After a personal meeting with a high ranking neutral official who delivered me the evidence. If it had been photoshopped wouldn't have been able to tell the diference and I was personally too tired to check it. I have just passed it on the NoV and leave the checking to my leadership. Perhaps that was a mistake.

Concerning NationalismThe Norden Verein was established on the foundations of nationalistic zeal, valor and honor, where members held their state and nation in the highest regard. In a statement to reaffirm this alignment on the political spectrum, the Verein hereby announces itself as a Nationalist Empire, a meritocracy where one’s responsibility is granted by service to the state. State before self for the common prosperity will be the one golden law overshadowing all else in the Verein. While some may see the State before their own nation as something contradictory in our Nationalism, it must be noted that putting the State above ultimately is in order so that it will be strong enough to protect its every nation.
This was a part that I did find particularly distasteful.. it may seem "rational" to you, but this can be used to silence everyone with a different viewpoint.

Concerning SeparatismThe Norden Verein hereby declares that any members who leave the alliance to create their own, established under a charter as a European or Nationalist power will not be tolerated. This is a detriment to the Nationalist ideal of unity, and cannot be allowed as a hindrance to the Verein’s progress.
I am a European, and I do believe in European Unity, and if I would like to create a liberal European Union, that should be my personal business and mine alone. Still I will uphold the Nordland Doctrine.. allthough I find it extremely distasteful.
Personally, and here comes nationalism, I find it disguisting that no European alliances can be created because some none-Europeans say so. If you want to be nationalist, be at least honest.

You, my dear sir, have been proven wrong.
Is it just me, or is there a bit of hypocrisy here? Sir Stamford Raffles, you (NoV) are completely willing to ZI the LSF at the slightest moment of strife, but you also believe that you (NoV) are very diplomatic.
So...which one is it?
I think that we would prefer peace rather then war, at least those that are using their heads... but when the enemy doesn't really want peace (nor our own leadership)... we can't just slope arms and walk away then can we ?

Since I am not up to speed, I will have to take your word that closing that section down was a good idea.
I can remember that I was furious when the Nordland Doctrine was put into place. I actually OOC compared it to the occupation of my country in the 1940's . I called it as much as a criminal act, but that was back then. No one has ever had the courage or the willpower to force me to follow it. And further "Germanicise" my nation. Perhaps for the better.

I find it.. unpleasant, that it is was a communist who was discriminating members for their supposed vision. I, for once, as a member of Norden Verein can guarantee you that the number of real far right-wingers is actually quite small. Perhaps up to 10, 15 at best. But this is just my own knowledge.

Then we agree with one another. I have some difficulties with some of the opinions that were being expressed. But, thank the Gods, the leadership was wise enough to close the Mine Field section, thus limitting the number of places where nazi's and such (but also the leftwingers and moderates) could express their feelings.

I was in Secom/ICP when we got massacred by NoV.I would fap to the destruction and banishment of all NoV'ers and especially Kaiser Martens.No alliance based on any nationalism should be allowed to exist and I will help the LSF in any way possible.I swear this.I'm going to LSF and signing up as a banking nation.(still staying in NSF but I'm helping LSF)

Funny... in NoV a number of people are socialist themselves. Quite hilarious that they would wish to slaughter their own comrades.
Would have been excellent propaganda for us if we would have turned the other cheek, and shown all the other alliances that we possess a thing that the LSF clearly doesn't have: honour.

That LSF rogue should never have nuked Reich Zealand and Acamas. This was an act of war and possibly sanctioned by the LSF. Still, as a Nordlander, I think that this should have been solved diplomatically. Eventhough I find the nuking extremely distasteful... forcing the LSF to pay very high reperations should have been more then adequate to those that had been on the receiving end of that rogue. Turning the other cheek would have been considerably more honourable then wage a war of destruction.
A war in which many of you, socialists and us Nordlanders will face economic ruin or ZI. There are no victors in war, only those that are in peace mode.
I don't want to end my rant with the oldfashioned "Hail NoV", a "Hail Peace" would be more appropriate.

The Republic of Finland stands in solidarity with the hard hit nation of Belka and her people and is saddened to see the carnage.
Additionally, the Republic calls for a Tribunal where the war criminals of the Unjust Path should be tried for their crimes against humanity and offers any inititiave that will lead towards condemnation all her support.
As we are ourselves a hard hit nation.

Did you follow the NPO terms to the letter and did you decom all your aeroplanes and CM's as was written in these termes.
If not.. you don't have much of a right to complain, because you, my dear sir, have then be violating the NPO peace terms and as such are they allowed- no forced, to attack you.
