Very gracious of DT to offer to write their own terms of surrender, to change them three (or more, I lost count) times, and to end with their only term being to accept an apology from the victors. May all alliances learn to adequately assess the damage they've caused like DT has
Also, DT, learn to appoint someone to lead your negotiations, having TiTaN and myworld contradict each other constantly didn't do wonders for my confidence.
And if you want more advice, DT, go back to accepting 40k tech, with only 10k from your own alliance, and have LoSS's bloated member count pump out the other 30k as punishment for causing you to enter a war they left a few days later. -
Happy half decade, ODN! My glorious home for over 3 years. I might be biased, but I can't help but think ODN has always been the greatest. Haters gonna hate, but ODN has had more history, more prominent figures, and more successes than most other alliances can claim. It was fun serving, both as a general voter and as a squad commander.
Here's to so many more, my best wishes go out to all members and ex-members, particularly those that remember me (heh). -
NADC is the #40 alliance at this point, having dropped behind Legacy, iFOK, GLoF, and NATO.

What is this thread about, honestly? It certainly doesn't seem to be a strong recognition of hostilities.
Invicta, TPF, Olympus, you all entered to defend NPO, and are now making a thread saying that the alliances that hit NPO are committing acts of war against you? What is it that you are trying to say? When four governments got together and signed this...statement, what official business were you trying to conduct that required said signatures?
So you attacked a member of Doomhouse, and now Doomhouse happens to be at war with you? Surprise? -

Someone should modify that MK sig that goes something like "I don't care about MK, f5 f5 f5" for the sanction race. I'd wear it as my sig, and proudly sit here between 9 and 11 server time refreshing every 10 minutes or so

Honestly, the spin and fail in this thread is astounding.
Hyrule and Misfits were in peace talks already due to Hyrule's lack of preparation (7 mil warchests on nuclear nations). They asked that we both step out of the war, Misfits said that we were willing to agree to a white peace, but would continue to fight Polar once our slots were free. They declined. Impero, who we had informed of the entire situation, and was well aware of what was going on, then joined the peace talks. Hyrule was given two days notice that VE would put Hyrulean nations in their target lists for the next rotation if peace was not agreed upon. Hyrule declined, and here we are today.
And the claim that Hyrule thought there would be no retaliation from our side is also false. Erik, their Minister of Foreign Affairs, was well aware within a day of war that we were talking with our allies. Sho mispoke and was misinterpreted in that he was assuaging Hyrule's great fear that IRON would activate our recent treaty, when it is not even written in spirit to be military. -

See Hereno's post, I specifically wrote our protectorate agreement to give Misfits legal justification in both offensive and defensive endeavors. Do not to assume that which you do not know. -

This is why I love being in a micro. Lowered standards and such mean that people take you seriously when you joke around about being a martyr.
Misfit Nations is and was well aware that we joined a war on the side that currently has far more nations. We're more than capable of counting alliances and adding Nation Strength. We would join and fight with our friends regardless of how the cards fell. -

Maybe it's just me, but I get satisfaction from exploiting commonplace beliefs that the government and leaders of micro alliances must be clueless.

I'm not terribly concerned with the wording of the initial conversation with Dajobo and Lennox, as I could be willing to give Dajobo [i]considerable[/i] benefit of the doubt and say he did not, in reality expect actual spying to take place.
However, even if I were generous enough to dismiss a private query containing phrases like "you know what you're doing already" and saying that having Lennox report screenshots was "fair enough," I can't absolve Dajobo of guilt. In the second exchange, he receives actual information through illegitimate means, and goes to the extent of having Lennox rehost the images so they'll work. He thanks Lennox for the screenshots, and then discusses them.
Frankly, the act of saying "thank you" for received information indicates at least some amount of official, recognized encouragement of spying. I'd be interested if the logs between Lennox and Dajobo went any further, even if it was just idle talk. The longer they converse, the more implicated Dajobo becomes. -

[/quote] I was being sarcastic, mostly. Truth is, we're small, but we value our friendships. We will always do anything we can to support VE diplomatically, economically, or militarily in return for the assistance they provide for us. Peace terms are hardly a consideration either way for us. -

When it comes to hilarious multis, Fernando is severely outclassed by the powerhouse that was Aircastle. Fernando was obnoxious and had lots of small multis. Aircastle was a large quantity of large nations, and I believe it even won some "Of The Year" awards, either in the Sanction Race or elsewhere.
As for non-multi hilarities, I'm not quite sure. Shark week is entertaining, looking back, even though I was on the receiving end of that injustice.
