Declaration of Protection for Former Xinjiang province

People of the world, Druk Yul has no intention upon expanding beyond its borders, however, in light of a recent rise in rogue groups harming the constituents of unprotected regions we cannot help but answer a call from the people of Xinjiang to be safeguarded. With Druk Yul growing stronger from broad based co-operation between tis member states, we now have the means of providing that safety. Given we have the co-operation of the people of Xianjiang in the establishment of this protectorate, we will only need a policing force, that said, we're moving no more than 3 divisions, or 30,000 troops to bases provided by the people of Xinjiang. They will pay the cost of this protection directly via their local government and contribute manpower to help the logistical aspects of maintaining our forces there.

We have quietly and diligently worked with people in the region to inform them of our arrival so they will not be distraught. They will continue to enjoy the freedoms, but not the lawlessness brought about by the general state of anarchy of their region or the threat of undue external influence. In that regard, any harm brought to these people will be considered an act of hostility towards the people of Druk Yul. Allow them to be in peace as shall we.

In declaration,

King Wangchuck of Druk Yul

Per agreements with the people of Xinjiang, advisors have been installed to provide assistance to local mayors to help with their economic development. The advisors are paid a wage by the local government as any other represented, but are trained and educated at the Economics Development Center of Druk Yul. They are authorized to offer suggestions on means of improving the local economy effectively, but hold no real power.

The soldiers had settled into old, abandoned military bases throughout Xinjiang. The bases set up local acquisition of resources to help the local economies and to make the bases more independent outposts. Life in the protectorate, was quiet.. and good. It began to get a reputation for being one of the easier spots to be deployed for members of the Druk Yul military.. a reputation which prompted crack downs and drills from the leaderships of the bases in order to keep readiness up.

The locals felt safer and were glad for the protection, some even allowed their sons and daughters to go enlist with the Druk Yul forces defending their homes.

With the assistance of Druk Yul..  Xinjiang began to become prosperous again. The economic advisors had assisted with the reorgnaization of their resources, encouraged more sustainable practices in the preservation of their arable land, and overseen some local hydrology projects which have helped boost food production in the arrid region. The people were content.
