Tracing its lineage back to the original United States of America, the nation adopted the original New Mexico administrative divisions, state constitution, flag, et al, and maintains its sovereignty from the jockeying powers of North America. Since its foundation, the Republic of New Mexico has successfully developed a nuclear arsenal, giving the small nation a nuclear deterrent against larger powers and securing its borders.
