SpacingOutMan
As per the meeting in Acca Dacca during the First Grand Ball, the United Technologies Trust hereby reaffirms its obligation to install facilities to provide solar power to the people of Acca Dacca. Does Acca Dacca wish to proceed in the same manner?
Acca Dacca
Absolutely. Where do you wish to have the facilities installed? Will you want to include Hainan Island in on the future plans? Edited November 28, 2009 by Acca Dacca
SpacingOutMan
It would be most cost efficient to build the facilities relatively close to densely populated regions, but also away from regions prone to extensive monsoon and flooding exposure. On Hainan Island a facility could be installed to accommodate electrical needs should the Acca Daccan government feel it is needed. However, it would be far more efficient to install a tidal energy system in the area due to the high potential amount of energy could be harvested from the relatively volatile tide ranges. Acca Dacca
The tidal energy system would be great for the area, As well as for Solomon Islands and New Caledonia. Let us also not forget that Bangkok will mostl ikely require a tidal energy system new the shore so that it can retain energy. Our capital is vastly populated. Do you have any inland units? We may require them for our Indochina region.
SpacingOutMan
Well, for Bangkok it may be better to install a combination of solar and tidal units. The tidal units won't work near optimal efficiency because of the constant use of its port by vessels. We can work out the logistics, however, when we actually build the facilities and survey the construction regions. Inland tidal units are just not possible and anything in Indochina would require solar energy unless a shore-based facility is built to transport the tidal harvested energy inland. That, however, would prove to be very inefficient.
Acca Dacca
So shore based units should be left for Islands for more efficiency, okay. What of these solar units? Where would they be placed for the greatest amount of energy? The highest point closest to the city? The use of more units per square inch? SpacingOutMan
Actually, for maximum utilization it would be far wiser to have a combination of a power plant using hundreds of panels along with installing minute transformers and single fixtures throughout major cities and housings. As for the towns and townships outside of the major cities, individual units would yield far greater efficiency as they would be unique to that one house's electrical needs. Acca Dacca
That sounds like the best way to do it. Will there be backup generators? I dont think an easy target such as that destroying the facility with one shot would be best in the long run for a nation that could possibly come under attack as easy as ours. I also ownder if the UMS will be stationing troops within our ranks to allow for complete security, unless you find that unneeded. In which, of course, we will understand and place them under our own supervision. We dont wish for you to make a burden out of this seeing as you are already helping us in the most genrous of ways possible already. SpacingOutMan
The transformers won't be built above ground but rather below ground. Unless your enemy has the intention of parading through a city and focusing on every single solar panel they see, it will prove very difficult to wipe the power out from an entire city with the system we plan to build in Acca Dacca. Acca Dacca
You seem to know exactly how we want everything before we even state it. You have our fullest of permission to do this as you please. When can you get started? OOC: Missed second part of my last post.
SpacingOutMan
OOC: Woops. That'll be addressed later. IC: We can start as soon as possible. When can Acca Dacca be ready to receive such an operation?
Acca Dacca
As soon as you get here. We'll just need coordinates of possible areas of where you will be working so we can clear it out for your men to start working.
SpacingOutMan
Would you mind if your appropriated a map of your country with its major infrastructural regions, cities, and places in need of electrical conduit?
Acca Dacca
OOC: I hate you so much IC: hands the UMS UTT official a map
SpacingOutMan
OOC: lmfao I knew you would IC: What are these symbols on this map? We aren't too familiar with these legends and keys.... and another question: which cities are the major ones that would require energy? Mind circling them?
