Bacharth
Part of Kaiser Vardmathr's reforms were to create a way for the people to vote on things that were not completely essential to the nation. This would be things such as design, locations, and urbanizations. The first Democratic Vote put in place was the choice of a new flag. The old Ukrainian flag serving as the Varangian flag was becoming worn and not representative of the current government. So, the Varangian Society of Vexilology was drafted to create a new design. Design 1: Der Hervapn eða Herklæði This flag represents the viking heritage of the nation with the centerpiece, being the coat of arms of the Varangians. It also represents the colors of the Norsemen: Red, Gold, and Black. Many conservatives favor this design, as it appears more militaristic. Design 2: Der Ravnsmark (Raven's Banner) This design is hailed as the more modern design, featuring the Raven of the Viking banner, and the traditional Norse Crimson and Gold. Again, the recurring theme would be the colors and the odal, reminiscent of the Nordland banner, although the nation is nowhere near Nordlandic in policies, although it does favor the Germanic unity. The younger generation favors this flag, as it appears peaceful, yet still ready to take flight.
