Immigration protests in Tyran

Native African populations have been flocking to the recently established Tyran, as other nations in the area do not cater to their way of life or are culturally incompatible.

They have formed squatters ghettos, as visas and hence work and places have live have been delayed by overworking the immigration system with the number of people crossing the border. With little to no border security, they were not refused entry, but rather turned away from employment and accommodation when they failed to present their citizens card or visa.

Due to this, the recent illegal immigrants have started a march on the government offices.

Spokespeople for the movement have indicated their main message is one of protest, and criticism of the arab dominated Islamic government.

The government declined to comment on camera, but issued a statement saying "We have established border protocols. If these people wish to ignore them, then we can do nothing about it." Assurances were also made for the safety for the population, as many islamic citizens, arab and african, were afraid of violent reprisals. Rumors persist of child abductions from islamic dominated neighborhoods, however no confirmation nor denial came from police agencies.

Christian citizens are wary, but most protests and demonstrations have been confined to other parts of the city.

We can only hope that the main protests stay peaceful, although military units are being moved into the city if police require backup.

The Empire laughs at this as we could have sworn the Nation of Tyran giving a Hateful Tirade on Imperialist nations rejecting others right to a free cutural exsistance.

We are not suppressing their culture, and are processing immigration paperwork as fast as we can, but the protesters do not feel this is fast enough.

And for our "tirade", it mentioned lands not formally part of a nation. Within a nation people have to respect its laws and processes which the problem here. Our laws require citizenship or possession of a signed work visa to gain employment in this country, just like many other nations, and since these people do not have either, employers are forced to turn them down until they gain it. Which will be as soon as our overworked immigration office can cope with this influx of currently illegal immigrants. Most of them will be granted visas, however, if they had applied before entering Tyran, they would have feed, employment and housing while their applications were processed.
