Combat Reignites in Diadochoi

It seems that, contrary to what Premier Gena Korsunsky claimed, Imperialist resistance against the new Communist government is not eliminated from the nation. Yesterday, a sniper attempted to assassinate the new Premier during a public appearance. The sniper was quickly discovered and, unfortunately, was killed before he could be questioned. However, he wore an imperialist-era uniform and a letter from a man calling himself "Mr. N" giving instructions on the assassination of Korsunsky. The sniper, thankfully, missed in his shot, and was immediately seen and shot. Later that day, their plot revealed, armed Imperialists stormed through the streets of Murmansk, near Akhatova. From about 6:30 to well about 1 am, the city was filled with gunshots and chaos as local military units clashed with the determined Imperialists. By sunrise, 39 Imperialists had been taken prisoner, and over 120 lay dead. The casualties on the military's side, considerably more well armed, are currently difficult to guess, though it is estimated they may be around 20 or 25 casualties. In addition, 13 civilians were killed and 34 were wounded in the fighting. Gena Korsunsky had little to say of the event.

"it is unfortunate that some men are willing to harm others, innocents including women and children"-3 of whom were killed and 10 were wounded-"simply because things didn't turn out as they wished. It is our goal, once again, to root out and eliminate these people before they can do further harm."

Korsunsky also dispelled rumours that "Mr N." was in fact former Imperial ruler Nagato, who actually lived and was back to cause more harm. "Nagato is dead and cannot return. This person is probably a wannabe Nagato."
