Average annual rainfall in the lowlands varies from 1,780–3,175 millimeters (70–125 in), and up to 6,100 millimeters (240 in) in mountainous regions. Mountainous areas receive the highest rainfall. Humidity is generally high, averaging about 80%. Temperatures vary little throughout the year; the average daily temperature range of New Jakarta is 26–30 °C (79–86 °F). The Republic of Yawoo is made up of many islands which have made made Yawooian armed forces very adapt at naval warfare and island warfare tactics, including situations where forces need to go through swamp infested territories, and beach landings. Yawoo Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 Armed forces divisions: Marines: Unlike most countries, The Republic of Yawoo does not consider its main infantry force as an 'army' but rather as a Marine force due to the geography of the country's region. Army: The Republic of Yawoo's army is for home defense only. Its only purpose is to defend and secure the nation's sovereign holdings. Navy: The Yawooian Navy is top of the line and is responsible for securing the nation's water passages as well as commercial and private shipping lanes. Because the nation is made of many islands, the navy is regularly on patrol throughout the region checking in on all islands. Airforce: Air superiority and defense above sovereign Yawooian territory is a must, therefore the country's Airforce has many hidden bases throughout the islands especially in the more mountainous regions in order to best protect the nation.
