In an unexpected move, Tory Island has declared its independance from the British Mainland today. Soldiers have been reported to be guarding key locations, but so far no riots have formed, and the island seems to have fallen with little to no resistance due to the speed with which the defenses were taken.

The leader of these forces declared the island the Kingdom of Zargathia, crowning herself as queen and sending her declaration of independance to most countries in an attempt to gather support. Currently, the situation can best be described as tense as the British have yet to react to the news. We will of course keep you posted on the latest developments.

One week after the self-proclaimed independance from the British, the new Zargathian queen has announced several new laws. Drugs are banned, and the military has been posted at the borders to intercept smugglers and confiscate the contraband, as well as harsher punishments for criminals, causing popular support to increase to new heights, reaching its pre-separation percentages.

Additionally, in an attempt to appease its neighbours, the Zargathian government has announced that it has no interest in pursuing nuclear weaponry, and that the uranium that was shipped into the country recently was made in an effort to upgrade the power station grid. Though responses from analists have been moderately positive, some skepticists are showing concern that this promise will not hold. With the Karma Wars still fresh in people's memory, only time will tell.
