  1. Well I don't know about his school, but I use the same network as a couple friends, and our IP addresses are different. Similar, yes. Identical? No chance.
  2. It's not your IP, it's your network. If there are other players on the network, or other people who have been banned, then you get screwed. Otherwise you're fine.
  3. Well we all have separate college emails, which are pretty hard to come by (I mean... we pay 30k/year, which is a bit much to pay just to have a multi if you ask me... if it's not to anyone else... I think we need to become friends :-p ) Either way... Microsoft accepts a college email address as a valid form of ID to prove that you're eligible for a sick discount on Office 2007... Shouldn't CN accept the same standard when there is nothing at stake?
  4. So, I was recently deleted due to using the same network as a friend of mine (we go to the same college). I know for a fact that there is at least one more player using the network, wouldn't be surprised to find out that there are more. Now, the thing is, the same thing happened last year (same friend who was deleted, same friend who wasn't deleted, plus one more friend who now goes to a different school). After they contested the deletion/banning, they were all restored. Now, my question is this. While yes, we are on the same network, and yes, that is against the rules, why is it against the rules? Banning college students, or people who share a housing complex, or whatever, from playing doesn't seem to make much sense. While I had my nation I bought donations every month, as would the other friend once he was big enough. It just doesn't seem to make sense to get rid of people who do/would make donations, just because they go to the same college. Our nations NEVER interacted. My roommate needed help multiple times, and despite how much I wanted to/could have helped him, I didn't. Had the IP addresses been identical, that would have been one thing. But just because they are similar? Doesn't seem fair. Can anyone explain this to me?
  5. Margrave, who recruits for their alliance in a different alliance's recruitment thread?
  6. That's right folks, we're a good luck charm. So come on over, say "hey," read our charter, and then submit an application!
  7. I think for the good of these forums EVERYONE should join
