  1. 185,871 Attacking + 10,220 Defending = 196,091 Casualties.

You have obviously never been in an even conflict where your enemy is prepared to fight just like you are. Preying on rogues and tech raiding is easy to do in Defcon 5. Fighting an alliance war against 4 or 6 nations at a time is a whole different story. Please learn something before coming back to post here again.

    I rest my case.

EDIT: your nation is obviously a remake nation now that I look closer, so I have no historical facts to draw from. But going from the information I currently have...

Also, how the hell did your nation get 6000 miles of land, 1500 tech, 5000 infra, and 200,000 casualties in 24 days?

    Casualties mean nothing man.

I've been in quite a few "real fights", I even restarted twice, so I know something about the warsystem.

I've been tripled several times, so once again, I know stuff.

all I was pointing out was that defcon isn't such a big deal. It mainly indicates your getting ready for the threat coming. It's not hard switching from defcon 5 to 1..

It requires no strategy, hence why I said it's irrelevant in a war.

So I may rest my case.

  2. Can someone explain me why everyone is so furious about the change?

In general, defcon doesn't even have a significant meaning other then "bluf".

"Hey, watch it, I'm at defcon 1!"

Defcon 5=1.. LOL, I never loose a battle at defcon 5..

This topic isn't even relevant. What's there to discuss?

I suggest defcon gets a real purpose.

  3. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that land you physically buy for in-game money, get off donations, and steal is "purchased" land, which would go for spy success odds.

Modifiers would be more along the lines of governments and resources that give you extra land. You will "lose" that land if you change to a government without the land bonus or lose the resource that gave you the land bonus.

Growth is land you have from your nation's age.

that pretty much sums it up.

  4. on the topic of bills: i do the improvment swappin method, with labor camps and before with 6.1k infra i was paying 2.9million in bills while bringing in over 8 million per day. so in my eyes, that is pretty damn good.

and the only modifier that i have is the +5 for anniversary. i have no events and have not in a long time. i do have my trades set up just for happiness. just somehting that i have been trying for. Without the bonus today, i still sit at 97.6. and have only one more happiness bonus wonder left (research lab). so i should be able to get my nation to sit over 100 all the time!!!!

in short, you make 5million netto a day...

there are nations who are at 5k infra who make 5mil a day..

So that's not "pretty damn good" now, isn't it

  5. Technology decreases infrastructure upkeep costs up to a maximum 10% discount based on the following formula: (2 * Technology Level) / Nation Strength = Percent off infrastructure upkeep bill.

According to this my nations would get 0.01% discount

    2328/ 26880: 0.086 %

could it not be the other way around: Nation Strength / (2* Technology Level) ?

Because why would there stand "up to a maximum 10% discount", if nobody even comes close to 1% ?

  6. Attack type does not affect odds any way (you could easily test that) but rather the amount of casualties that are done (on both sides) with cautious being the least casualties and aggressive the most.

It's quite easy to test these things out in a war ;)

In terms of "raiding" the odds do mean a thing..

Well, that's what I have encountered.

However, in terms of most casuasties, you pretty right, I guess.

But again, there are random shots. Sometimes when I go planned, and have 60% battle odds, It tends to kill double MY soldiers and 3000tanks, in 1 turn.

 I guess my nations must be bugged.

  7. Looks like it can be done. If you pick your targets right you can easily raid 30 tech a day (3 warslots x 2 attacks x 5 tech / attack) and $3M + a day (3 warslots x 2 attacks x $500k+ / attack on average (max is $1M) ). Do this for 12 days = 360 tech + $36M (possible max = $72M) in techraid profits alone.. not counting the AID etc he received etc... so all in all very possible to do this.

    (sorry lastr0ce if I spoiled your secret :) )

ha! that was absolutely not my secret
