Well, damn. Congratulations to my good friends in MK. You guys are a damned fine bunch and I'm proud to have at one point been able to call myself a member.
You have persevered through troubles no other alliance this side of FAN has had to go through and not only lived to tell the tale, you prospered. That is something to be damn proud of.
Congrats, MK. May you last for years to come.

I've only got two weeks left until I hit 3 years. I can still remember my first update, all those years ago.
-
Well, this sure is nostalgic. Good luck.
-
Which reroll number are you up to now?
Twelve or thirteen, I believe. I lost track.
-
His two weeks already outlasts your two hours.
Hey man, I was out for four months earlier this year. If you're going to mock me for quitting a lot, at least use my 10-minute one.
-
Over the years, I've felt many different ways about you. I have thought you were an amazing leader and player and I have absolutely detested you and everything about you. However, no matter how I've felt about you, you were always a major asset to this community. You will be missed, have fun in real life. Maybe you can do better than my four months away.

This was not an easy decision, but was one that had to be made. I wish the best of luck to Old Guard in their future endeavors.

There are far too many blinded by their extreme hatred...
I've been on the wrong side of NPO for the entirety of my three years, and have seen my alliances, allies, and friends fall victim to their militaristic and overaggressive ways, I'd say I am far from blinded. I see the situation far clearer than you ever will.

I got SO MUCH aid when I first joined... let's see, 130,000$ if I remember. Then... 3,000,000 two months later, and then 200,000 to buy a harbor from one of my members. SO MUCH.
</grumbles about spoiled newbs>
Man, you got buckets of cash. The first aid I ever got was in the aftermath of GW3.
EDIT: If I recall correctly, RIA's joining aid was originally $5,000, which was a damned fortune for our nations at the time.
EDIT2: Heh, scouring the old RIA forums, I discovered our first recruitment contest, in which the reward was a massive 15k for first, 10k for second, and 5k for third. Huge numbers.

I still hate them the same as I have for the past three years. That being quite a bit.

Yes, the terms are too harsh. Yes, it is a good thing.
Harsh terms breeds resentment and resentment breeds polarity. A multi-polar game is all I've been hoping for since the fall of the League.

I doubt any thread will ever pass the Maroon spam thread, that thing was a beast. Related to CN, the Sanction Race takes it, without a doubt.
-
Oh man, this thread is ****ing priceless.
It's the Karma War. Deal with it.
-
Well, now NPO knows how it felt to be on the receiving end of their terms.
The reps are extremely steep, but when you consider the amount of damage the NPO has done to individual alliances, both through wars and reparations, as well as the community as a whole, it seems much less horrid. The terms outside the reps are downright merciful, honestly. As for all the people saying that Karma are just as bad or worse than the Hegemony was, great. Form a coalition and try to take the new Hegemony down. I'd love to see a polarized game again, it's been two long years since the Great Wars.

because I won the last poll. D:
I am aware of this. My question was regarding how the hell that happened.
-
SPH, no question. mpol and es are funny, yes, but they don't hold a candle to SPH.
Why the hell is Mogar on this list?

I've been in four alliances in three years.
I was one of the founders of RIA way back when, I left for NpO about 10 months in, left NpO and went back to RIA after about a week, then left RIA again about 5 or 6 months later for MK, left MK a year and a few months later and joined Umbrella, where I've happily been since.
-
Oh hey, this is a nice little treaty.
Obligatory

I've found an image that the mods surely find more suitable:
Damn, that's hot.
MHA have always been one of my favorite alliances, it's great to see us get closer.
-
I've only been a member for a very short time, but nevertheless, I hope to be here to see our next birthday.

And yes I would like to nominate myself for best avatar. Everyone remembers the asians.
Nominating Crohl for best avatar. Goddamn that thing is mesmerizing.

/a/ is a terrible board. You should be ashamed.

I remember wars wanting to avoid nukes, the introduction of wonders, the removal and reinstatement of the GRL.
I remember the introduction of aircraft.

I remember Team Forums, and I remember when it was announced they would be gone in xx hours (or by the end of the day) so we started this mega-thread in Maroon with the passwords for each team and went and said hi.
I remember getting the last post in the Aqua and White boards, while watching the color boards close off one by one. I also remember how the Maroon boards spawned a good hundred or so new threads in its last day and just barely broke 1000 threads. I also remember the race for the 100,000th post, which I got.
Maroon was good times.
Three Years of Random Insanity

Shadow, Leo, and myself were all founders, as well.
Congratulations on three years, guys. Hard to believe it's been that long. I still remember the very first update RIA had as an alliance in an AIM chat room three years ago.
When I started, I hardly expected RIA to still exist even one year after we started, but here it is, three years later. We may have had (many) disputes over the years, but I've always held the RIA close to my heart, even when I was fighting on the opposite side of a war and trolling the hell out of your members on the forums. Congratulations on reaching three years and good luck in staying here for more years.
