I hit 5 years a little over a week ago. That nation has long since passed, of course, but I've had a nation for the vast majority of that time.
-
I'm glad the flag debate was finally settled, and with one of my favorite options, at that.
-
The Great War period of CN was by far the best time I've ever had in the game. I was neutral in GWI and GWII (in GUARD for the latter), rooting for the League, and was on Aegis' side in GWIII. As much as I hated WUT then, I sorely miss them now. CN desperately needs to have two rival factions again, it's so dull without them.

I wish we'd used 96. Ah well, this one's certainly not bad.
-
I was nuked five times in WotC. I've never launched a nuke, as I haven't had nukes in three years.
-
I'm at nearly 20 rerolls now, only about 5 of which were for resources. My nation name is rarely the same (I've used goddammit twice as a nation and once as a ruler, no other repeats), but I typically keep enragedlobster or some variant thereof as my ruler name. I've only had three nations in my memory that didn't have a variant of enragedlobster as the ruler.

Yes, I am at war (I was in three yesterday, in fact). Yes, my nation has existed for longer than 30 days. -
I'm Lawful Evil IC and Chaotic Neutral IRL, with sprinklings of LE and NG.

Best way to split it really. 06 had a war right in the middle, those that joined before are ancient and those that joined after are just really old.
As a note i joined after. Suck it ancient fine gentleman.
What about those of us that joined during?

2006 - The Fading Generation (referring to the declining about of 3 year players)
Did you really have to pick the most depressing name possible?
Four years...goddamn.
-
Until I quit CN again. In all likelihood, that'll be between two months and a year, depending on how interesting CN is during that time.
-
I joined July 23rd, 2006, during GWI.

Goddammit, now is going to become as terrible and overused as

So we are stealing something that was ours? Good to know.
\m/ was never "yours." No one in this new \m/ founded or ever led \m/. You're just a bunch of bitter ex-\m/ members trying to steal its fame for the merger of your two (mediocre at best) alliances.
-
Hahahahahaha you're a funny man. Out of everyone in the UJP, I have to say only \m/ and GOONS weren't sell outs. And Golden Sabres, but they had almost as a tough time as we did.
So not disbanding and fighting through years of second-class treatment to get to where we are makes MK sellouts, while giving up instantly, joining safe alliances, then coming back once people stopped caring about you makes \m/ a quality bunch of people. Makes sense.
I will agree with your placement of GOONS, GS, and TPF, however.
-
In the same way that MK is similar to LUE in the past; which means not exactly, am I right? I don't know if you realize this but this chapter of \m/ isn't a repeat of the last.
Then why stick with the \m/ name and symbolism?

Happy anniversary, Umbrella.

Sorry, I forgot we have to switch Super Mario Bros. characters to erase the mistakes of the past.
originality itp
-
Yeah, true, its not like any of us have ever mentioned \m/ in the past two years.
So should I take it that your complaint is that we are tarninshing the image of \m/?
I'm merely noting flaws in CSM's argument that \m/ was revived for any reason other than notoriety. I hold no love for the memory of \m/.
-
I know the concept of friends and community might be difficult but.................
The exact same friends and community could have been achieved by merging Bel Air and Rage Co and calling it a day. Instead, you chose to resurrect the name of a long-dead alliance solely for notoriety.
-
\m/ was a terrible alliance two years ago, yet this somehow manages to shame its memory. Congratulations.
At least now people will finally shut the **** up about \m/ disbanding.
-
Laughing with or at? I went with the latter.
I figured the latter is implied.

1,124 days over about 13 or 14 nations. I first joined to help form the RIA in July of 2006.
More importantly than 1,000 days, three years passed last month.
-
I was RIA gov at the time and was likely the biggest UjP sympathizer in the alliance. I still wish we'd won and I still hold a grudge against TPF for screwing us over. In retrospect, GOONS are the only casualty of that war that I miss, but I'll be damned if that wasn't a major goddamn casualty. The time after UjW would have been far more interesting with GOONS as the top dog, as opposed to the horrifically boring year and a half we got.
On this day in history...

I hit my 5th last July, with only six months off at various intervals.
