IRON, NPO and ODN are good larger groups, check each of them out to see if they're your thing.
If you want smaller bit decently large alliance, try NG or The Legion.
If you want to be neutral, try going to GPA. But I'd advise against it. ;P

You guys ever thought that Knights might be some clueless 14 year old, that doesn't have a clue what he's doing here?
But really Knights, join an alliance, learn the ropes and don't try your own thing, when you know what you're doing and have some type of member base, then you can try...and even then, your alliance still not succeed, I'm afraid to say.
Also, there's a safe way of dealing with the trolls and that is called keeping your head down and not feeding them. :)

Sith - Have you seen their forums? Their leadership is inept, it is completely unorganized (see:charter), and it has nothing else good about it.

translation: your alliance sucks
Does a few errors in a charter make an alliance a bad one? No, it is organization, activity, loyalty, good leadership as well as many other things that make alliances strong, not a few mistakes in the charter.
Might I ask, what alliance you are from?
