I will not announce my presence here with false greetings or hollow salutations. From my observations, few of you would appreciate them. Many here will deride my arrival. They will laugh, secure in their knowledge that nothing could threaten their existence. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I have watched this universe for quite some time. I have seen empires rise and fall, Order give way to Chaos, and the weak inherit the earth. Once-proud alliances are but shells of their former glory, while others have crumbled to dust and memory. I have observed the comings and goings of nations, alliances, and indeed ages, all from the shadows. As history becomes legend, and legend becomes lore, I watch as many attempt to re-write history for their own ends. The heros have become villains, while the villains have faded to myth. The days of valid casus belli are no more, replaced with petty conflicts among petty men.
This universe is in need of a new paradigm. You have created for yourselves a web of lies and deceits, allying with others out of fear, convenience, or for some small modicum of personal security. The web of treaties and allies now at play in this world are so convoluted and mismanaged, that any alliance with a shred of honor would find itself torn apart by its treaties in the event of a global war. Instead, they choose the most convenient path, and leave honor in their wake. They maneuver across the world stage, making and breaking treaties with impunity. These conditions cannot stand in their present state.
I will be watching closely in the coming days, as many of you prepare for yet another pointless war over another trivial issue. Ready yourselves; a new age is coming to this world, and this current state of affairs will not be allowed to stand.
