1. I see the same tired old replies from the usual suspects are polluting the topic.

That said, there are enough other detractors to inject a sense of drama into something that already had a hint of mystery. Those two things are not good attributes of what should have been a routine announcement.

My own contribution will not be exciting; just to congratulate The Dakotans and to wish Mia good luck.

2. Thinking about The Foreign Division, and this impressive growth, I am increasingly reminded of The Watasha Ladies' Sewing Circle (those with short attention spans see below). I see much bigger and better things in their future. What puzzles me most is the question, "What is holding them back; why are these figures not even better?"

Congratulations guys!

I'm surprised too, but I'm sure it would have had we not agreed to pay. Then MK would be getting an even larger chunk of flesh, and their buddies would get their share in the loot.

Help me understand this. Aren't you in PB? Doesn't that give some sense of security, in that maybe your bloc would have your back?

4. At the risk of repeating what others have said...

Sorry, but the OP here is not a "good player", whatever that might be; I assume he means "good ruler". To have reached 40k+ NS without losing any troops means he has missed out on a whole dimension of activity here on Bob. A good ruler would not have done that.

There's a simpler principle though. It is that a "good player" does not post on the OWF claiming to be a "good player". Easy.

I don't know about you, but I would consider a term restricting what a person can and cannot do with their nation for a protracted period of time much more objectionable than one which dictates that he must remain at war for a certain amount of time (that is, until his infrastructure runs out).
Yes, it is possible that, for those to whom a leadership position is important, this would be a greater punishment, but for the vast majority of nation rulers it would not be. Batallion himself would have the option to decide. Accept such a term, or not to surrender. In his case the logical outcome of not surrendering is ZI.

I personally do not support ZI, and would always welcome some alternative.

We felt that Batallion deserved ZI to make him realise that he should act more diplomatically and less arrogantly before dragging his whole innocent alliance into a war for no real reason.
If that was the object then maybe, rather than ZI him, you could have added a term such as,

"Batallion is prohibited from serving in a leadership position in any alliance, for a period of three months from the date of his surrender"

That would perhaps teach him much-needed humility.

7. If ever I have doubts about my own alliance, reading this sort of thing dispels them and makes me feel good.

It seems that none of the three protoganists comes out of this looking good. Neither does AcTi, which comes across as a toy alliance.

Teddyyo, it looks like you are better off having left, though the fact that the catalyst was a bruised ego is not something to be proud of.

* I just looked at your nation. Can I assume you have 75 tech because of a donation? If it's not, then why? A while ago I got sent 25 tech and I had at the time. I am going to just buy more tech when my 2 tech deals come around.

* Why do you have tanks in peace time? in case of an attack
* Why do you have planes at your tech level in peace time?in case of an attack
* You have two of the best resources there are. Is there any reason you aren't in a trade circle yet, at 39 days old? i am waiting for the trade circle i joined to be complete
* What makes you feel qualified to be in Government position? Why should a new alliance trust that you'll stay the course, if you're leaving your current alliance after 39 days, despite being in Govt? I have bben in Government for NADC and NSO
* Why are you leaving NADC? I have not decided if I am going to leave, I just want to see my options
* Are you going to repay the growth grant that NADC gave you 7 days ago? I have the money in case I leave to pay the grant back
* Why do you have so much land? (If because of donations, then disregard this) I infra jumped to early so I bought land to help raise taxes collection.
* Why do you have a church instead of another University, or a Factory...or any other economic improvement? (Churches should be one of the last economic improvements you get; even I don't have them yet, and I'm more than twice your size) I did not have the money at the time to buy a University.

Props to Karolina for asking you those questions. If you can't see what's wrong with your answers then maybe, yes it is time for you to jump ship from your current alliance and find one that will actually teach you.

The good news is that most alliances will be able find some sort of gov role for you fairly quickly if you remain active and loyal. The bad news is that only someone very stupid would try and recruit you here while you are still NADC gov. Wars have been started on shakier grounds.

10. Xenon.

I'd give it a rest. This guy is older (but not necessarily wiser) than he first appears...

He may not have learnt how to run his nation (and his previous one presumably failed) but when it comes to baiting you, he knows exactly what he is doing.

11. So, it seems that someone here is acting like a jerk in a thread which has really nothing to do with them, and no, LOL, it's not Mayzie.

Let's have a look at Hadrian's nation.

Achieving the destruction of both ERA and the LION Bloc! Very well done!

Oh wait! looks like Andover did. Here's the DOE http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=81066&st=0 , seven and a half months ago.
