I don't buy that he was "just playing along" and ignorant on what's going on in his communications with Lennox.
If your reasons are legit, why did you hide all the info that RV in all his sexyness brought us? Nothing wrong with what you did to "set" this war up right?

The fact that all this was hidden is a keystone in figuring out if this was all BS or real... once again I still say the CB smells like fish market in china town.

Will discuss this with you elsewhere. As far as this announcement is concerned, yeah, it is an honor to have you by our side Ragnarok.

for sure man, sorry if it offended ya in anyway bro.

    Been neutral?

Doesn't seem too difficult to me!
I demand every insult from EVERY PERSON that called out the UPN on our BS during TOP/CnG now flame and pass the neutrality banner to VE and crew.

The torch has been passed, have fun with it and your concepts of neutrality.

uhh, no. Thats not SF. it is not what SF has been, it is not what it is, and i find it hard to imagine it being this way in the days to come. If you think it is easy to get any one of those that makeup SF simply go along with something against their will, you got a few million thinks coming. What is more? Each of them knows this, and relishes this.
I am not saying it is against there will at all... in no way, shape or form.

I am suggesting that the pressure put on RoK is due to the other members wishing to side with the side that has the most pixels. Fully of there own will, they choose the easiest way to survive without risk of losing much if any power.

edited in - as said before the morality and the evidence of the issue is lost in the constant stream of self approval, and manufactured justifications for the war within certain social circles of SF and PB.

I think there is some communication gap here. Calm down man. I may not be SF no more but i sure as hell cant believe it went down like that.
People when presented with 2 different arguments, when faced with having to choose and side with one, will side with the side they believe will be dominant. Then use the arguments coupled with there fellow supporters joining together to form what is commonly called mob mentality where the most brutal, unjust, and dishonorable actions can take place guilt free. The lack of guilt is due to the group circulating there idea's so much and agreeing with each other so much even the most blatant falsehoods look like reality.

bottom line it is a survival mechanism, that will reflect forever in most human action regardless of the scene.

and, simply put just consider what SF did with RoK like peer pressure. Put them in a position with little to no back up, and restrict there movement... hope they buckle to the pressure and decide to go with the flow like the rest of SF.

His spying on us, lacked malicious intent and effect. That counts for something.
So taking screen shots of all the juicy info that only experienced and focused players would go for lacks malicious intent and effect?

So what the hell is the damn point of the war then?

My favorite part was when VE said Lennox has reformed. Classic stuff here.
hey man, someone can go from die hard covert spy to die hard loyal VE member in 20 hours easy... sooo sooo sooo easy...

lolz ok that was tough to say with a strait face.

Since this thread is about RoK why not give them a mention... I only really got into the politics of the game near when RoK and NSO had there war. Now I thought the reason behind there war was kinda dull, and might not just be about speaking simple truth like Hoo claimed. I was interested in figuring out if he had any issues in the past with not holding to his word when it was convenient not too.

Gotta say I didn't find a damn thing, but only thing I am questioning now is why they are allied to some guys that would bandwagon an alliance with an obviously bogus CB. But it is too early to call how/if they will move based on everything that has been going on, but RoK is an alliance I am very interested in watching right now :)

Either way up to date I have yet to see another alliance that has held such an exploratory record for acting purely based on what they say they will do, and keeping true to what they deem right. This is just a good example how they stick to there guns.

    o/ RoK

Well! That's very sweet of you to be thinking about Damsky's rebuilding. See, Damsky? They have your best interests at heart.
Ya you know it!!! If ZI isn't enough they will help you get back up by buying tech off you to make there side stronger, so they can continue the actions that caused you to rogue on them in the first place!!!

wait... can't you just send tech deals to people other then them for the same result? and to top if off you wont be helping people you dislike.

This is EZI in it's own clever guise... VE talks low about UPN, but even we have the respect for our fellow players to allow them to continue to play the game after there nation is defeated ingame (ZI). Heck I could understand in extreme cases demanding the persons warchest being depleted... but forcing them to aid you or be forced out of the game?

    can an alliance stoop lower?

  8.
We've already had a few surrenders, notably one of your top end nations. http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=250387

    Good start o/

    Edit:

And another one bites the dust.

That's a steadfast alliance you've got right there Alexander The Second. Months of long warfare; I'll be amazed if you see the week out.
I'd show you the private post on our forums regarding my feelings of him leaving, but it is a bit... ummm strongly worded...

See the guy you got to leave was one in 4 people that messaged me back with some BS I can only afford 3 mill a month as a bank to help out our lower NS nations fighting rogues. So really, you only got rid of dead weight that would ask for help after the war financially with no intention of helping the alliance in it's banking efforts. We were just here to serve him, now that the situation is against him he is gone.

Keep up the good job, I would boot them myself but when I had the power to do so I was told it was to harsh :)

Treaty lawyering will surely be the key factor in turning the tide.
No but having all these references will come in handy I am sure... last alliance to abuse it's position of power greatly had to pay how much reps when they were taken down again?

So keeping a nice detailed log of any "potential" shenanigans is something pretty much any intelligent player does... both sides included.

  10.
Disbanding UPN would be killing the goose that laid the golden eggs of comedy. I'm personally in favor of demanding ~50m in reps from them so we can all have a good laugh when they aren't able to pay it.
I'll sit at ZI before I send you a cent, and believe me none of my alliance mates in government would consider paying you reparations over months of long warfare. We welcome the fight, but you can talk all about surrender... When your asking for peace I am sure we will remember this one.

  11.
Insulting UPN has never steered me wrong in the past.

you missed my point. Why didn't your alliance declare on VE if you're so keen to puff up your little chest to someone from VE? I mean, you had every opportunity to declare on VE and chose not to.
Insult me and my alliance, and what right do I not have to give someone permission to grow 6k ns and declare war on me?

Of course this is all ignoring the obvious, since we declared on a member of a bloc, what are the odds that is basically just like declaring on the whole bloc? Guess we'll see at update today huh? (oh god don't CB us for spying to get this info!!)

  12.
if you're so keen to show VE how wrong they are, why didn't you declare on them, cupcake?
Oh I got my wonder list going... nice having someone in peace mode that can gather intel reports on low NS targets with nuclear capabilities without the threat of being harassed for the time being.

40 mill warchest is the best I have seen in the 18k NS range from iFOK... sure insulting the UPN is the correct course of action?

  13. if you cannot explain in fine detail how all these time frames somehow match up or at least PM me, info regarding why you believe I am incorrect then why are you even stating your point of view in this thread if you wont support it against opposition with anything more then "I'm not gunna tell you how wrong you are". My argument is completely legit from how I understand things given my one time reading the VE DoW, and I still say that the 20 hour time frame is just bogus.

I've been doing some research into VE's past and what not, and I gotta say VE claiming this as a just war, is the pot calling the kettle black in every sense.

@ Rayvon - thanks for the sig, made me look into funny things.

You think I want NpO's allies to stay out? u kidin me bro

    1. "oh she was only felt up a bit; not even that really"
    2. No there isn't, the only reason the question is even in anyone's minds is because NpO and friends are looking for ways to talk SF into coming in on their side and there's nothing like a good bit of evidenceless paranoia (that physically can't be proven wrong) for that kind of thing.
    3. That's not the implication here. The assertion is that there was a violation of sovereignty; the actual physical harm caused by that violation is meaningless when we're talking offensiveness or defensiveness.

This is all kind of a moot point though to be honest; whether or not allies join in on a war rarely has anything to do with whether the relevant clauses in their treaties are mutual or optional.

There's a whole bucketload of connotation in that line I'm supposedly selling that has nothing to do with what I'm actually saying. Sorry.
I got a good reason why were on the defense. That CB against Polaris was doctored to be what it is. I mean really? 20 hours between the screen shots that started the war to the war being declared?

all this took place in a 20 hour period is what there CB tells

1 - spy is NpO affiliated and loyal

2 - spy as a player with next to little real experience grabs valuable and sensitive information, send it on a PM on "who's forum"? to his NpO controller

3 - spy changes sides, and hands over all information that would have him damned to ZI under most circumstances, and the declaration is posted hastily with no diplomatic contact.

This isn't just a shady CB, it smells like a whole fish market.
