Didn't Sparta come into existence just after that movie came out?
meh liek the same day the trailer came out. well the concept was that is. so it really does give SPARTA hata's good evidence that we were in fact based from 300, but we aren't. Sparta was official (on the OIN forums that is) at March 13th (CN time)
@ Wandmdave- MicroMiner said that he and Bush_84 were talking about starting a new greek based alliance, and then Bush_84 thought of the Idea of SPARTA. whether Bush_84 knew about 300 that day I don't know (he can answer that for himself) I know for certain that MicroMiner knew about 300 after they planned to branch off for SPARTA.
EDIT- I'd also like to say to wandmdave that it was GWIII that really helped our recruitment.

we don't hate 300. we just aren't based on it. so it really does annoy us when people say all these 300 things about us
