Oh how i love a person who is absolutely right on the money

Apparently Pot Face wasnt getting any help in running the alliance and there for disbanded it due to inactivity of the members. Why CB and OO feel the need to protect inactive players when the leader himself chose not to find protection for them I dont understand. But i guess when your tied to the big boys you can throw their weight around too. My only question is how long till the protectors here have a long talk with their allies and find that their allies arent real happy with it. You cant continue to have your children piss in everyones wheaties and expect things to stay cool forever.

I understand the No Deposit, No Return argument, but there's another side to this entire story too. The membership of BCOM put their faith in their government to provide for the common defense (and no doubt, something to this tune was in the recruiting messages that sent them there in the first place.) What gives PotFace any right to, with no notice, cancel all treaties and disband BCOM? Some clause in a charter apparently, but it still doesn't make the action right. He could just have easily left and trusted the alliance to new hands as well. Their leader, instead of doing what was his duty, to serve in the interest of his alliance members, packed his bags, came to a public forum and said "All protection agreements for these people are canceled. Let the world begin raiding." At that point, it should be no surprise that there were people that felt the need to say "Hey wait." and give some of these people a fighting chance to find their way.

Forgive me Bud for picking your post to quote alone, when so many of them could have been responded to with this same message. I just needed one to pinpoint what I was responding to exactly.

All this said, our government in SLAP only intended our protection of BCOM members to be temporary, to aid in buying BCOM members some time to find new homes. We feel at this point in time, that enough time has elapsed for anybody that cared enough to try to find one.

Protection of the disbanded Blackstone Commission by Sovereign League of Armed Powers is hereby canceled effective immediately, under executive proclamation of the kings of SLAP. Happy New Year to everybody.

-All consulates on the http://cn-slap.com forums that have not seen activity over the last 90 days will be deleted on January 1st, 2011.
-All foreign diplomats that have not posted on our forums within the last 90 days will have their masks revoked.
-Any alliance or diplomat losing their mask or consulate may re-apply at any time.

At this time, we'd like to welcome everybody to our new IRC channel, #cn-slap on the coldfront IRC network, and to visit our forums at http://cn-slap.com to get to know us. We will be hosting a pants party on January 30th. This means no pants allowed.

3. Well let's see... there was LoSS (that was a huge waste) then there was ODN (which I will give complete credit to Ironman's regime for crushing what was a great bond), then there was the radical era with IRON (which never should have happened, but back to Ironman on that one), then that was canceled cause it never should have been started and our new/old regime wanted to be back on the right side of things anyway.

The beautiful part of that though? Bumpy roads are expected with what was then a new alliance. If Ironman thought he wasn't going to get couped for his cancellation of the ODN protectorate, he had another thing coming. Long story short? Things got stupid, so yeah, we had to drop a cancellation to get things back to where they should have been all along. I'll give credit where credit is due though, ODN were great allies. I hope one day we can be treatied to them again. And tbh, from the little bit that I saw, IRON weren't a half-bad group either.

tl;dr

3. And the one with LoSS was the only one that sucked.

It is my pleasure to announce this. LoSS is one of my favorite alliances, and has been for a long time. This makes me a very happy camper.
It's HST-themed. Good try. D+ for turning in the assignment sheet and using two-syllable words.

Seems I wasn't the first one to say something about camping, it was in the OP, but thanks for playing.

Granted, it's a stretch, but keying in that worked well enough to make my point I think. I mean, come on, I read "camper" and then "treaty, FIRE, LoSS". No need to analyze anything here any further, it all looks like the standard garbage tossed in the typical meaningless treaty, but with instantly less awesome because it has the word LoSS in it.

Article I: Non-Aggression and Friendship

When we're so drunk that we're all glowing orange from the citrus schnapp's we agree to only swing on other people during bar-fights and not on one another.

Article II: Sovereignty

The undersigned recognize and respect the sovereignty of the other and agree not to interfere with the internal affairs or political independence of the other signatory.

Article III: Aid

Because we're friends it just makes sense to deal tech with each other before our enemies. I mean, it's always best to keep the highest tech stuff within your defense network.

Article IV: Defense

An attack on one signatory is considered an attack on both. Should either signatory be attacked the other is mandated to provide diplomatic, financial, and military assistance.

Article V: Aggression

In the event that a signatory decides to take aggressive military action against another party, the other signatory may, at its discretion, provide whatever aid is deemed necessary, up to and including joining in the military action.

Article VI: Cancellation

Any violation of article one is grounds for immediate termination. Should either signatory desire to terminate this accord, they must provide the other with at least 48 hours notice.
