I recently got warned for saying: lol, die (which I meant totally as ruler to ruler and IC, my reply was IC, the message sent to me was sent with the opening line of "Friend, fellow leader" which was IC thusly my reply was to convey that "I am not your friend I laugh in your face and wish you to die." I do not wish any harm to anyone in real life) to a message telling me to surrender. According to the rules this is not appealable. However I wish to ask the question what are the factors that determine if something is said in character or out of character?
If lol, die is OOC then i'm going to blow you up, I'm going to bomb you, etc should be OOC. This loophole is confusing and I would like some guidance as I do not want to be warned again for something i meant IC.
Edit for clarity
