    Funny my girlfriend tells me that what size matters most in hangs a little lower. then again I think your so proud of your balls scholar because its all you have left. between your legs.

    And to the foolish person who said the NPO can't mobilize a blitz- they invented the update blitz, I'm pretty sure they know more about them then any one else in CN

    Okay at this point in time you are allowed to bet on the out come of any duel/tournament as long as your bets are in before the second day of the duel or tournament. no last minute bets. And as far as what the odds are, Squiggers has agreed to take over that so we should be good.

    Edit: the arena now has a IRC channel on Coldfront. so head over to #CNWA to talk. I'll be on regularly after 4pm EST starting next tuesday.

    Hell angle If you read through the combat registration forum you'll find that I'm asking every one to start a thread in that forum with the OP lkisting your nation, nation link, NS, Infra and tech levels.

    As far as the betting system goes- talk to squiggers that's his project from here out. Unfoprunatly due to RL time restrainst I won't be able to set up threads for all of the current members with their information. So to those of you that have agreed to participate head over to the New forum, join up and post your registration thread.

    As a side note your rgistration thread will also be where people post challenges to you so try and keep your info up to date on it.

    Updated the listings. for the time being it's looking like the only participants that could give an even fight in terms of NS would be Laputa and Ender Land.

    Hyperion I think this would be the time for me to take you up on that offer. If the arena keeps gaining members at this rate I'd like to set up an IRC channel on the Coldfront server if anyone would be interested in helping with that.

    Since the idea has popped up a few times in the past and most recently in Starfox and RV's duel thread I decided to start a duel sign-up thread.

    Anyone that wishes to participate in a duel can post there stats here. Much as I would like to participate in a duel, Acting as mediator I'll record prospective duelist and organize a list, as well as keep track of wins/ties/losses for the participants.

    The records would be organized somewhat like this:

    Nation Name(hyperlink text), nation ruler , Nation Strength, Wins/ties/losses, alliance

    Or

    Admin Nation, Admin, 41,349.470, 3/1/2, CN Staff

    If your interested post the required information. I'm asking for alliance affiliations to prevent anyone from using a duel to spark a full scale war. Each challenger will set the rules of the duel- ie no CMs, only ground attacks, etc. etc.

    the only exception is that I'd like to fully prohibit the use of nukes in any duel. The person accepting the duel would determine the victory conditions. I'm also throwing open the option for "blind" duels. For example an arena duelist would like to duel but nobody will accept his terms. In this case he would be able to approach myself or someone else working on the arena about arranging a duel for them. The arena worker would then find them a suitable opponent and work with them to establish a set of terms and then approach the original player with the proposed duel and terms.

    Walford neither you nor any one else has the right or the wisdom necessary to truly determine if a person or groups actions are just. Only a complete sociopath with the inability to even ape functional interactions with there fellow man that has also taken the time to study such matters in depth would be capable of such a thing.

    You claim your a military man, I call BS. Of you were a military man you would have still realized that there's a time to shut up. As it stands your actions are more akin to an aging politician that refuses to accept that his career is over. Every time I have seen people in this game follow your advice it ends in there ruin. do you know what happens to military men when there egos get to big? In the type of environment that exist on Planet Bob they are taken out back and shot once, between the eyes at an angle guaranteed to kill quickly. You sir are not a military man, and because of that I find it enjoyable to debate like this with you so that I can gain experience for when my roommate who is as equally depraved of brain cells as you appear to be begins to show his true color.

    that said you need to get off your high horse you are no longer the anything of anyone by your own admission, If you don't like how things turned out for you either make an alliance or join one that is willing to take the crippling PR blow. You continually make claims about VE without once providing anything to back them up except the words of those who have followed your lead in the past. If you want anyone to take you seriously you need to stop making claims and start providing evidence for them. both GATO and VE have adequately explained there actions of several occasions and yet all you due is repeat the same general things. It's like watching the original inter alliance propaganda all over again. Nest thing you know were going to be getting nonsensical comment from you on par with "You are not true until proven false".

    It has been considered an act of war since almost the beginning of CN to aid someones enemies. GATO did something honorable by aiding your opponents to equalize the aid given to you by ta misguided member.

    Ivan Moldavi's Goodbye

    Others hear the name Moldavi and think of a great leader. Others the embodiment of an Ideal. And still others an idol to be worshiped.

    And in truth Ivan Moldavi was all these things. But he was much more, to those who have had the pleasure to follow this great man you my understand what I have to say.

    Ivan Moldavi was a man who never wavered in his dedication to his ideals. He was a figure of impeccable integrity and for the rest of my life I'll never forget that this man above everyone else to play the game was true to his ideals and preserved his honor even as he was ridiculed by others.

    Despite what others may say without this one man's wisdom Neither of the orders could have reached the places they are today. Few men truly know there limitations and even few can accept when others exceed there abilities and act on it in a positive light. Ivan did both of these things and it is because he had this wisdom the Pacifica has the leadership it does now. Moldavi had the gift of change. He rarely posted anything and yet when he did the impact of it was felt by every player in the game. Few people in the world, both CN and RL, have the ability to influence so many for so long with so few words. Ivan allowed his actions to speak more for him than any other person I have had the pleasure of meeting. And best of all his actions showed his dedication to the ideals he founded an alliance on. How many battle fields did this one man enter and leave victorious? Many of the things first introduced by Moldavi are now taught to every person in the game as a matter of course without us ever realizing where they come from.

    I never knew him personally and yet this man has proven that it isn't flowery speeches and titles that grants one power. It is knowing when to speak those speeches. I've never much liked the spotlight of center stage, which has helped me survive many times. but I too am sorry to see this man go, like many of the first CN players I came here from !@#$%*, I've become inactive a few times from RL problem and yet every time when I came back the Order was still going strong even in the midst of wars.

    I'll never forget the first time somebody nuked Ivan. less than an hour after that the Pacific bank had sent more than enough aid to rebuild his nation stronger than before. Nobody ordered them to help, Moldavi never asked. The truth is that the New Pacific Order respected this one man so much that they were willing to bend over backwards to help him, something they proved time and time again through every war they had. It is my opinion that Moldavi is the main reason that the Orders are able to be the largest alliance in the game and yet the individual members are able to get along so well, few are the times when conflicts appear between members, a remarkable feat with more than a thousand total active nations.

    It is rare for me to do such things but tonight the People of elements home will gather at the pole and hold a silent vigil in remembrance of all the things that this great man has done.

    You cannot fathom the concept of a what a confederation can be apparently. In the case of NONE, it was composed of individual sovereign nations and non-partisan groups. Some of them were formed from within the ranks of non-aligned, others were pre-existing and invited to join. All understood that they partook of the resources/contributed as they see fit and that any collective action would be voluntary and arrived upon by consensus.

    Thanks My shrink has a new concept to research, the ability to speak without understanding what your saying. A confederacy is still an alliance the only difference is that you never outright declared yourself an alliance. Read the diffinition of alliance:

    Alliance [uh-lahy-uhns] –noun

    1. the act of allying or state of being allied.

    2. a formal agreement or treaty between two or more nations to cooperate for specific purposes.

    3. a merging of efforts or interests by persons, families, states, or organizations: an alliance between church and state.

    4. the persons or entities so allied.

    5. marriage or the relationship created by marriage between the families of the bride and bridegroom.

    6. correspondence in basic characteristics; affinity: the alliance between logic and metaphysics.

    Please direct your attention to definition number three. This is what would define your so called confederacy as an alliance your sharing the common goal of keeping each other from being tech raided and trying to change the status quo of Planet Bob, this makes you an alliance in all but name. As the founder of such an alliance, and the figurehead, you take responsibility for the actions of the individuals that comprise of the alliance unless you were to publicly state that you have severed all ties with such a group you cannot avoid responsibility for your actions. Also even if you don't realize it I've been playing CN long enough to remember you establishing NONE and that in the topic in which you first set for the idea you did indeed call it an alliance. If I could get a link to the old forums and the correct topic I'd prove it but unfortunately I don't have the old forum URL anymore.

    Walford as I recall your notorious for doing this yourself. Normally I would simply sit back laugh my self to death at a thread like this however the fact that it's gotten so much attention in such a relatively short time merits a bit of action. let's review a few things from your post.

    I created no 'insulting thread,' I made a single post in VE's thread declaring on Dirty Dozen. As linked earlier in the OP, I pointed out that they were mostly in Peace Mode while withdrawing/recovering from a war with FOK. So all VE had left to pick on were a couple of inactives and a couple of nations that were away during the entire war and had just come out of hippy. One of these, MoPeace (Terdarmo) had rejected the surrender terms that were accepted, dropped from Dirty Dozen and told us that she decided to fight back until she deletes. Whatever she did after that was on her own behalf only -- and if it was so heinous to be reported, admins decided that it didn't merit deletion because her nation still exists.

    Interesting so far I have yet to see anyone else provide a name for the banned nation, as far as anyone can tell you simply picked a nation that was currently existing and said that they were the one everyone was talking about.

    Being incapable of fathoming any sort of alliance system outside of that which was created by The Orders and their toadies, what else can you say? The reality is, I was the Founder of a confederation of non-aligned and non-partisan groups that were resolved to not be forced into choosing between being a wolf or a sheep. I served as one of many facilitators who offered aid, mentoring and mutual protection -- but again not under the rubrick of the Pax Pacifica. Dirty Dozen was among the small groups that were pure democracies who did what they pleased. I advised them and they did not always take my advice. Indeed, I counseled them to reject VE's surrender terms and they chose otherwise. I had no leadership role to impose my will.

    I'm sorry if you cannot comprehend that.

    You seem to be grossly confused on the meaning of words.

    Confederacy (con·fed·er·a·cy)

    1.an alliance between persons, parties, states, etc., for some purpose.

    2.a group of persons, parties, states, etc., united by such a confederacy.

    3.a combination of persons for unlawful purposes; conspiracy.

    As you can see from the definition it's impossible to have a confederacy of nonaligned nations or groups. You admit to being the founder of such a confederacy, as well as a facilitator, mentor, and protector, to me these are the traits and duties of a leader. If your not a leader then your following somebody else's orders to act in this way, If that's true then give us a name so we can set about ZIing the correct people. As far as them not following your opinion about surrendering all I can say is that it's good to know your as poor leader as you are a diplomat. It's also good to know that even though the idea of following your lead is a mistake only an idiot or a misguided soul would do they had enough intelligence to realize when you were leading them on the path to ruin and to bail out of the mass suicide. It should also be noted that the current template for an average alliances governing structure has existed longer than the NPO has been the dominating factor on planet Bob

    Ro101 offered me aid on the 3rd, that is true. None of the parties involved said or did anything about it, much less mentioned any VE involvement. It was not until the 5th when garbunkel gave me aid did we "discover" that all of this time the attacks on me were not some small alliance enforcing a personal vendetta. It was only then that GATO was intimidated into paying extortion to one nation attacking me and another attacking the nation that aided me.

    You of all people should never be surprised to realize you overlooked something, or by a general lack of knowledge. It's also common knowledge that aiding someone in the middle of a war is considered an act of war against that persons enemy or enemies in this case. for future reference I suggest that you due a through check of an alliances history and treaties before you get out your soap box for a failed speech.

    When you pay an aggressor in the hopes that he will not bring in his powerful friends, that is not reparations. That is extortion. GATO leadership did not contact me for my side of the story and instead cravenly appeased the aggressor rather than troubling themselves to learn the facts and take action based upon complete knowledge.

    Again this was probably a smart move on GATO's behalf as people tend to end up running war torn countries when the listen to what you say. And regardless of the reasoning behind it any something is offered to pay for damages it's reparations if your worried about somebodies big buddies joining the fight then you shouldn't due anything to instigate a fight in the first place.

    Shameful and disappointing.

    Let us consider what the likes of these thug organizations characterize as "terrorism" and why. Their perspective is, that the non-aligned are the tech cows/punching bags for everyone else. Any who fight back when tech-raided are then gang-attacked. Any other non-aligned who come to the victim's defense will be attacked by more of the aggressor's allies with demands for POW status, extortion, apologies, etc.

    I offered a different alternative. There are ways to survive no matter how many and how strong your enemies are. The constant attacks are used as opportunities to refine our skills and share the benefit of our experiences. What makes any organization of non-aligned/non-partisan groups 'terrorist" to these fascist thugs is that the victim is sitting there presumably isolated and vulnerable, baiting the poor tech-raider into attacking. Then -- much to his horror -- he is actually resisted. Sometimes, the tech-raid ends up being a net loss.

    That is not how things are supposed to be under the Pax Pacifica. The non-aligned are not fulfilling their assigned roles as Designated Victims. Too bad if you don't like it; get over it.

    My god you've opened my eyes with this! I never realized there was a whole mass of people out there that would hand over there tech for the lives a few hundred of my soldiers. I guess I might be asking a bit but stop and think for a second, most of the major alliances have a development program of some sort for beginning nations that helps them gain tech and infrastructure quicker than they would simply by buying. However once you reach a certain point it does become more beneficial to steal raid another nation for tech and money. Of course any unaligned nation that is with in the strength range of these individuals probably aren't new comers to the concept of warfare so they put up a good fight. we do in fact expect that. Most people simple raid you until the war expires and you get off with a few less tech levels and a few bucks short, suck it up don't collect your taxes and wait it out in the long run fighting back will hurt a hell of a lot more, this comes from experience. And I don't recall even one occasion upon which a government official within the Orders stated that the victim of a tech raid couldn't fight back. In fact I've seen several occasions upon which a member of one of the orders complains about getting his butt kicked because a tech raided nation fought back, the typical response is "oh well, now get over it".

    And you are among the many who will FAIL in their attempt to 'destroy' me. I am not going anywhere and will continue to express myself as I see fit. Indeed, your actions only motivate me to work harder. There is nothing that you can do to me that hasn't been done many times before by much more able opponents.
    At this point we don't have to destory you you pretty much due it yourself. You conti9nually insult people and the sad thing is that you apparently lack the ability to understand how you insulted them. Even if someone were to take pity on you for a time and try to explain where you went wrong you would either blow them off completely or simply ape comprehension and understanding before you fell back into your old ways.
    So to you and any others foolish enough to waste your resources on me, I say bring it. You know where to find me. You cannot bend me to your will no matter what you do. That is something you will have to accept.

    The truth is not an insult. It is what it is. I will say what I please bound only by the constraints of the admins/mods of these forums and their host's ToS. You are neither of these, so I categorically reject your claims to authority over me.

    Your wrong I've already started to bend you to my will, I wanted a court jester and so far you've proven to be quite capable on the world stage. the only other use I might have for you is the one currently served by Chris Kaos as an example of how person in a position of power shouldn't behave. Of course I'll admit that you do merit a small footnote during such lessons.

    Yes the truth is an insult you do not tell the three hundred pound man that he is fat simply because it is true, it's still insulting. In the case of VE the decision of there leader was a wise one and I believe he made it knowing that it was entirely possible that he would become the target of negative attention for anti-NPO/NpO individuals such as your self.

    I recently unearthed several ancient volumes depicting Admin's creation of Planet Bob, and the adventures of his children. My research shows that all of them, except the book of Depraved, were likely written by yourself. Would you know if any others are out there? I seek knowledge of Planet Bob's creation and of the merciful and just Admin who created it.

    OOC: I found these on the Wiki and posted em in the "Cybernations Mythology" thread in the OWF. You seem to have written most of them, so do you know of any others? The Children of Admin are out of date, since several more teams have been added since then, so those could be updated, as well as the Children of Guidance (mods). Apart from that I think it should stay the same, but if you wrote it, it's up to you of course. For reference, here is my post from that thread, including the articles I found.

    If you'd actually READ the thread, you'd see I actually said those logs, while true, are being misunderstood.

    A person from SPQR thought they were shopped.

    True I didn't read the whole thread I stopped around page seven or eight when I realized that everything was just getting repeated. and even If I had read the post were you tried to backpedal yourself up the hill and out of the basket I would still have made the same comment.

    Incompetence in a leader is the result of there reactions ant any time regardless of there current mode or situation. If you find it impossible to keep a civil tongue in your head just because your not at your best then you have no right trying to lead, otherwise your likely to cause more problems then you can solve.

    In truth every time I see a post from GPA leadership in regards to the war I get more disappointed in the alliance as a whole for being dumb enough to elect some of you, or worse so for electing the retards that appointed you.

    Also as a leader in CN you should be familiar enough with the games history to understand the stigma attached to certain names and terms. That fact that you would claim to be a /b/tard without understanding the fact that almost anyone will attack you at least verbally if not openly for declaring prior associations with /b/ of any sort.
