What is The Vast Empire?
The Vast Empire is a writing and gaming club, loosely based on the Star Wars Thrawn Trillogy by Timothy Zhan. While the club mostly supports and participates in Star Wars games and writing, it is also open to many other kinds of games, including Cybernations. While this alliance has only newly formed, it comes from a club that has been around since 1997 and has several experienced members who welcome all new nations, both young and old. If you enjoy reading, roleplaying, or just talking about Star Wars- as well as playing Cybernations- then perhaps joining The Vast Empire Alliance would be something for you to consider.
What does Star Wars have to do with Cybernations?
I might ask the same question to the large and successful "Mostly Harmless Alliance". What does The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy have to do with Cybernations? They'll tell you that it doesn't matter if your theme seems out of place, the great thing about Cybernations is that all genres are acceptable. So why not join a Star Wars based alliance if you like Star Wars? Such an alliance could allow you to enjoy the politics of Cybernations, and the fantasy of a galaxy far... far away!
Why would I join a small, new alliance?
The Vast Empire Alliance has most of its members protected under other larger alliances while it grows, so you need not worry about getting attacked. While it is true that the VEA is new, you also do not need to worry about it closing because it's members are the colonists of a larger group, who hope to found a small fanbased alliance here. You can help to make this alliance strong, you could be one of the very founders of what could be one of the largest fantasy based alliances in the game.
The website says you guys are roleplayers? Why do you play Cybernations?
Writers actually. While there is some amount of roleplaying involved (aka taking on a character), those members of the club who roleplay are proud to call themselves writers. However, there are also many members who are big gamers (the other half of the club). It is those members who are creating this alliance in the interest of becoming better experienced with our common interest, Cybernations. Consider us to be a club with many diverse interests.

How do I join?
First go to our website at www.vastempire.com and sign up to join either the Stormtrooper Corps, or the Imperial Navy. Once you have done that, go to our forums and post a message in Lounge ComNet that you wish to join!
