  1. Disband. Your alliance. NOW!

You just made the most disgraceful post I have ever seen. It doesn't even make sense, the KARMA war is over, you have no reason to fight anymore so stop.

Well, what do we have here? A sentient Zergling! Hear hear!

In my own analysis, I'd have to say that this is more or less a ridiculous part of a war that has already concluded. You can say a treaty with whoever is a treaty till the end, but that''s not quite how the world works. Circumstances change. You can be loyal to your friends, you can be loyal to your allies, but at some point there comes a time where, if you have been defeated, you must accept that you were in the wrong. As a saying goes: "History is written by the victor." In this case, the victor being 'Not you'. That you have the sheer guts, audacity, and shamelessness to make this comment proves why you are where you are.

  2. You good sir, are a master of verbose, witty dialouge, and a great communicator, what unfathomable comprehension for the English language you have.

Good luck in your merciful massacre, your charitable crusade, yourdiplomatic destruction of your enemies.

    May Splash Woman salute you.

  3. I'll do that as soon as you admit that astronaut jones is awesome, and that ronin is a terrible ally and you don't know why you're allied to them in the first place. Caffine deserves to be taken down.

    shayde is a hero.

Oceana has allied themselves - from what I know with personal experiences - with those who have helped us when we have needed it. We stick by our allies, and I believe that all in Oceana can agree we would never turn tail on our allies - no, our friends - just because some random ruler demands us to.

  4. As the official Meat Shield/Cyborg Commander/Scapegoat of the Independent Oceanic Nations, I hereby support my 'kiirs in this endeavor. The Monolith Army of Omnion and the finest soldiers I have - the Obelisk Corps - are willing to, provided we can get in line with enough strength, help destroy your armies with our superior tactics.

We've tackled foes stronger than us before, we can do it again.

Also, you have a silly outfit there, good sir!

  5. I always find comments like this interesting. Ivan was bombastic, yes. He was inspiring to his allies and even impressive to his enemies. He had the balls to basically speak his mind and bull his way through the political morass by throwing his weight around, even when his weight was less than impressive. And he doesn't seem to have changed all that much.

But most of the really amazing accomplishments of the NPO were because of Dilber, not Ivan.

Ivan helped build up a lot of the Pacifican pride, attitude, and determination, but Dilber was the one who turned the NPO into a political powerhouse. Dilber's work (much of it in back-rooms or behind-the-scenes) did FAR more to establish the NPO dominance over the game post-GWII than anything Ivan did. In fact, when you consider that much of the NPO's later decline corresponds to the time during which Dilber became less active, one has to wonder if the Karma War would have even happened had he still be fully in-control and on his game, or if he'd have fallen into the same sort of complacency the rest of the Order seems to have succumbed to.

Even more interestingly, one could even suggest that the current state of affairs is taking place because a number of talented individuals left the NPO during the Moldavi Rebellion, which also drove a massive wedge between the Orders, so had Ivan not returned after his GWI-era departure, the NPO might actually be in a better position today than it actually is...

Yes, Ivan's a "personality", and his personal charisma tends to draw people to his side and inspire them. But if I had to pick a single individual to take a start-up alliance and build it up to a position of political dominance, I'd probably pick Dilber, or even Sponge, long before I'd pick Ivan.

I would tend to agree with some of that, actually. Although, as never having been a member of any Order, be it Pacifica, Polaris, or Sith, I wouldn't know more of the background maneuverings that went on, but it's always good to be enlightened to such things. Though I don't think I would lessen Moldavi's impact on the game. Even if it was Dilber who helped shaped Polaris into what it was, Ivan seized the game in the early days using his "personality", as you call it, but he also isn't afraid to make large decisions that shake the game to its core.

I believe the Karma War(And, to a lesser extent, the Moldavi Rebellion) were inevitable, and could not have been avoided, regardless of -anyone's- inactivity. After the disbandment of the CoaLUEtion, Pacifica and its allies ruled over the game, forcing most alliances in a state of fear. Humans, by their nature, are prone to rebelling, as long as Pacifica would have stayed in power, as long as ANY global hegemony stayed in power, other, smaller alliances who didn't agree with their ways are prone to rebel. The Unjust War was a much less organized form of what the Karma War could have been. And the Moldavi Rebellion's inevitability might be my own opinion, but, did you -really- think Ivan would leave the game for good?

As for who I'd build an alliance around, I wouldn't mind building one around Electron Sponge nor Ivan. Both are strong leaders with strong "personalities" and are able to set goals that they can and will achieve in this game.

  6. Why do people keep asking about NPO? It should be apparent by now that is just a matter of time before Ivan and the NSO become the new overlords of CN. :P

This here. While I don't think it would be accurate to say that Ivan and NSO will become the new overlords of CN (I'm pretty sure that the current state of flux will keep that from happening), but if there's one thing that I remember both allies and enemies of Ivan back in the old days, and even now, respected him for, it was the fact that he could and did take Planet Bob by the seat of its pants without any hesitation. I don't know whether or not he and the New Sith Order will be the next overlords of CN(That is a matter for Ivan to expound on himself), but I think it's safe to say we can expect great, great things from the New Sith Order.

  7. I will first say that as a fellow Oceana member I am very glad to be back home. Quite a few of you older people remember my insignificance, and I will be resuming that position of insignificance within the Independent Oceanic Nations. I plan to be much more active than I have in times past, and the nation of Omnion is steadfast in its loyalty to the Independent Oceanic Nations, and to our Goddess, the almighty Splash Woman.

That said, it makes my robotic parts warm and fuzzy to see so many people hail our return with glee. You all rock.

  8. Heh... let's see here, this is somewhat similar.

    • I remember finding this game with my friends, and joining up with the /b/ Alliance, creating the worst nation name ever...
    • I also remember learning how to fight there, back when the game still had the underdog advantage, and doing /b/'s dirty work.
    • I remember doing stuff on my own and getting in trouble due to it.
    • I remember ditching the /b/ alliance, and resting with the NAAC. I learned how to structure my trade web then.
    • I remember banding together with my friends as a private group within the NAAC...
    • I remember the forming of the World Unity Treaty/Initiative. I remember how we looked and this and new that we couldn't end well.
    • I remember the days leading up to the Second Great War, trying to help the NAAC, but they'd rather go out in a blaze of glory....
    • I remember trying to salvage our group after some fell apart, and seeing the futility of staying at the NAAC(With some help). I remember jumping ship and forming an alliance on the Aqua Sphere....
    • ...Only to have it disband half a year after it's origin. After that, I just drifted out of Cybernations.
    • Various schemes with my friends never took flight... and then I hear the NPO are getting their face pounded in, and I had to come to see that.
