We'll split in two and have a civil war over it. Next idiotic question please.

As you should be aware, RV is nothing but an attention whore. It pains me to have to even acknowledge his existence, but it seems that some people don't care about things that once were considered uncouth, such as aiding someone at war with an alliance. Do not be surprised if The Commonwealth takes issue with someone sending aid to Rebel Virginia and his FAIL alliance. They declared war on us for no reason that I can understand, and remain in a state of war at this time.

You are my new favorite person. Also, as Penkala said, they reserve the right to attack, not they are for sure going to attack each and every person who aids him, just that they consider it aiding an enemy. Big difference there. All that being said, I don't really see an issue with any of this, the small profit made off of tech dealing isn't all that much in the modern game, and anyone at war with FAIL should find that they have plenty of backup, so, I guess it's good luck, RV.

  2. The things you're going to see listed from the OWF crowd isn't what CN as a whole may want. For example, I would like to see fewer treaties, more wars, and less NS in the game. I would also like the entire mess reset at some point. I doubt that many others want any of that besides less treaties. And they don't want less the way I do, I want none. Either way, good luck with working on this, though I'm not sure how it will pan out.

    Not yellow though! :awesome:

Yeah, I've been a member of Black, Aqua, and Yellow. I had less trouble filling slots on yellow, I COULD never keep a permanent set on aqua, and Black wasn't too much fun for permanent trades either.

  4. Honestly, some shperes suck so much for trades... I think I would really have to hate someone to not want to trade. It's not the same as with direct aid or tech deals. Chances are, they're going to find the same trade elsewhere, and you will too, but it'll take a long time, and be a headache. I prefer to keep trades and politics seperate. And I would never accept terms that would dictate who I had to trade with.

Nice work, Mike! I'd have done it, but I've never read a beer review and my expertise in "beer" is limited to A&W, Mug, and Barq's.

You should try birch beer. It's as delicious as root beer, but it's much different than most sodas.

We have a guy who didn't get the memo about not attacking protectorates. Send me a PM with the details and we'll work out a solution. In the future, you should seek us out privately.

I wonder if he was actually a member or just set his AA. Either way, raiding happens, fight back first, then question things.

While I don't think this needed to be broadcast all over the CN Forums <_< bros <_< that is effectively what happened. I told them I'd be out of town (as silly as it sounds, I'd gotten so caught up in just fighting a war, I didn't realize I'd be gone for a week a few days after it happened), so I asked them if I could slip in to PM to avoid having to get a sitter (I don't like the idea of someone else fighting with my nation I guess). Although I did say I would understand if they chose not to, cause I mean, it is war. They agreed, I went in, came back a week later, got out of PM (low on nukes cause I had been away) and hit 3 TOP targets like any good soldiers.

I don't hold anything against TOP and their feelings that I should have notified them and let them anarchy me, so that I couldn't stagger 3 TOP nations and prevent them from hitting PM (as everyone on our side who comes out of PM has been doing). I don't really understand why they thought I'd do that, but that's just a difference in viewpoint. The only stipulations given to me before they let me hit PM was that I don't carry out the attacks against the two folks on me I hadn't yet hit that day. Given that I had like 7K infra and 8K tech at that time vs the 12K infra and 13 or 15K tech of my opponents, I figured it was worth it.

I guess it does look a little like taking advantage of the situation to me... maybe not staggering them would have been the proper thing to do, rather, just re-entering the war on one target or something. I dunno, it's that IC/OOC line there in addition to the fact that it is a fairly hostile war... I doubt that one nation will make a huge difference in the end either way. And I think this might be a fairly decent example of the relations between TOP and MK at the higher levels, no?

  8. Fairly honorable by TOP to let Trace drop into PM, I'd say as long as he told them when he would be returning, and that he would resume the warring it's not an issue. But if he took advantage and used it in a way he didn't specifically say he would, well then that's pretty lame.

Other than that, interesting thoughts on the wars beginnings and the transition from NpO vs. \m/ into the cluster$%&@ we have now.

  9. In a few past wars, I put down deposits while fighting. That is, I sent OUT aid over the course of the war, and then when it was over, I started getting my tech. Of course I only do that with trusted sellers, and usually neutrals... but you get the point. I've banked up some credit in the past, enough where I was getting a month or two's worth of tech at wars end.

VE just need to pass ODN and there will be a great orange party at the bottom of the sanction list :v:

Yeah, but I think you might have to wait a while for GLoF to catch up to the rest of y'all.

  11. I'm just shy of the 1mil mark. My first few wars never chalked up more than 200k total, I've burned through about 600k this war. I'm hoping to get over that 1mil mark, but it was tough this war fighting against guys with more .mil wonders who had the ability to be a tad more active than I was around update. Not to mention spreading 1 deployment to 5 people is a recipe for disaster, unless you feel like leaving lots of cash laying around.

  12. It seems to me that most of the fringe alliances, IE those in through treaty or friendship will most likely go for white peace soon enough, maybe minimal reps as tokens. And that the main centers of the war will continue for longer with different endings, though I could easily be wrong. The war should most likely be mostly over by the end of the month, and over completely by the ides of march.

    Hellz yeah

    o/ Val oly OMFG BAPS
    o/ DT NOR FAN PC
    [/quote]

o/ Valhalla It's nice to fight against some folks who enjoy the fire, explosions, carnage, etc. Not to mention against guys who are so recklessly destructive that they fight more wars/member than any other group. If only I could have filled my 6th slot against you. Pesky anarchy.

  14. All of the valhalla guys I'm fighting have been awesome. Fun opponents, good fighters... And my SDI blocked it's second nuke ever last night, bringing it to a whopping 2 blocks out of 19 nukes sent in its lifetime. Oh yeah, Special shoutout to WhiteMajik, for the nukes. :nuke:
