The Euros have been pushed into the northern tip of the nation. They are holding for now, but without outside assistance they will fall and their people with them.

From the air it could be seen that the country was literally on fire. The Euro rebels had taken half the country and were putting up fierce resistance to the Bantu army and militia, but they were being enexorably driven back, their weapons supply dwindling.

The Bantu troop had been completely wiped out. The Euro civillians that had been fleeing them had taken heavy losses. George pulled a toddler from the arms of its dead mother. " Come on!", he snapped at his men, " We have to get these civillians someplace safe!" His men hurried out of their fighting positions and began directing and assisting the civillians towards their base of operations, an abandoned hotel next to a hospital that had thankfully had some doctors still manning it. As George entered the hotel the doctors swarmed around, evaluating which people had to be treated first and which had injuries too severe to treat.

OOC:It is what is going on. But there would be news crews, so you guys would hear about it.
George Smith sat in the rubble of a burnt out house, with two other Euros. He signaled a man across the street as a troop of Bantu miltiamen began chasing a horde of Euro civillians down the street. The other Euro rebels took up positions, and opened fire. The surviving Bantu ducked behind a pair of burnt out cars and began returning fire. One of George's men cried out and fell down, a spreading stain of red on his shirt.

The death toll is still mounting. The infrastructure has been badly damaged. Anarchy reigns.

The Bantu militia, with the aid of military deserters, have taken control of the government and have begun slaughtering Euro civilians.

Power to most of the nation has been cut, and the telephones have been taken out as well. Something big is happening...

There have been mass desertions from the army, and an upswing in police brutality and wrongful arrests of Euros. The government refuses to comment on the situation.

The Queen has been assassinated!!
Queen Calan of the nation of Association was assassinated today,when her motorcade was ambushed by an unknown group. The dominant political group Bantu Power claims that it was the Euro rebels. OOC:(descendents of European colonists, often discriminated against) IC: The government is investigating this horrible tragedy as we speak.
OOC: Also, please don't try to help out until I say you can, I have some interesting occurrences planned.

"Guys, look. Using violence of any sort is going to harm us. If the police decides to unleash their dogs on us, we have to stay peaceful. That way, the entire world will know how desperate and determined we are, and it will embarrass the government. If we were to use violence, guess what? That gives an excuse for the government to unleash more violence on us and the entire world will ignore us because we used violence. We are not going to kill other people just because they support the government, we are going to kill the ideas of supporting the government in the people's heads."

There were soundsof gunfire outside the hospital. George Smith crouched in the ruined front of hospital exchanging fire with some Bantu militamen. A bantu soldier with a brightly colored shirt fell, clutching his chest. George centered his crosshairs on another Bantu's head. He fired, and the head exploded like a watermelon. In the meantime two of George's men had fallen.
NEWS REPORTS
The Euros have found new strength and have pushed forward, reoccuping land taken by the Bantus. Many Bantu leaders have fled the country. The Euros are being recognized as the legitimate government by the people, and are recognising all treaties made by the former administration. However a quarter of the country is still under Bantu rule.
