  2. I have a question about EQ

    So a friend and I were talking, and we were wondering how does a coalition that considers itself sovereign and the defeaters of evil still go to war against alliances that it has no cause to do so? Granted, there are alliances and blocs out there that have a right to declare on an alliance through defense of allies, but the EQ seems to be ridden with alliances that have no reason to fight other alliances.

     

    The only reason I can think of is that the EQ is bad at war and has to use numbers to make up for their infra-hugging tendencies.

     

    Just curious, you know?

     

    That's a big thing about sovereignty, rejecting the notion that you or anybody else can dictate whether or not another has a "right" to go to war with who they want, or that a "reason" is defined by anybody else but themselves. Everything happens for a reason, regardless of how ridiculous it may seem to others. Sovereign alliances decide whether or not their own reason is good enough. This could always potentially backfire, but it comes with the territory.

  6. Peace: The sequel

    The Equilibrium alliances DB4D, NEW, Invicta and NPO accept the surrender of [MW et al.]; and Equilibrium and [MW et al.] agree to conclude their war on the following conditions:

     
    1. That all parties to this agreement enter it of their own free will, and retain sovereignty over their own affairs.
     
    2. That [MW et al.] withdraw from the Equilibrium War, and are forbidden to aid--militarily or financially--any alliance or nation which is now or becomes engaged with any constituent of the Equilibrium coalition, where determination of an alliance's association with Equilibrium is determined as maintained on the CyberNations Wikia.
     
    3. That no new wars will be declared between any party to this agreement as of its posting, and all current wars must be concluded in a timely fashion.
     
    4. Transgressions of term 2 will be dealt with on a case by case basis, conforming to traditional CN norms.

    After a lengthy battle, peace has come between the forces of DB4D and UCON.

     
    UCoN agrees to a cessation of hostilities and basic terms with Db4D and NEW and the rest of the EQ Coalition which are as following.
     
    UCON shall not re-enter into the conflict or send aid of any manner to any combatant on the side of the "Competence Coalition".

    Death Before Dishonor came to us and asked us if we would peace out with them not the other way around, apparently we're cool and they want to attack other people more. Lying is dishonorable, you shouldn't do it ;)

    We came to you with reasonable terms, and you rejected them. There are indeed others I'd rather be fighting.

    MW never gave any terms in which we would leave the war. Our counter offer was to DB4D and their direct allies, only.  We will stand besides VE, Deinos and UCoN.  Don't mistake our counter offer as weakness, we were just being polite. We figured since DB4D was having such a hard time that they had to call in 4 other alliances at that point and approach us for peace, the least we could do was give them decent, honorable and fair terms.

    You guys should't try so hard to flatter yourself. You have been good fighters and I will not deny that, but that is about the extent of it. Even if it came to the point where we had to call in people, we wouldn't have to. You did attack the entire coalition after all.

    What's the point of a treaty? Seems a bit hypocritical.

     

    What really is the point of any treaty if not to simply having something to post, and something shiny to look at? I guess it could also serve to ease the minds of those who believe that friendships only exist on 'paper' in the case that one party decides to defend another.

    So amidst a sporadic barrage of nukes dropping in each and every direction, we found ourselves, by chance, ducking for cover while hunkered down in the same bomb shelter.

     
     
    Preamble-
    This Optional Defence and Optional Aggression pact between the Death Before Dishonor and the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance (DB4D and MCXA) is a result of our two alliances getting to know each other better. We are really doing this so that DB4D and MCXA can hack the Cybernations servers and become supreme rulers, Till then however here is a Treaty:
     
    Article I: Sovereignty
    Both signatories agree not to infringe upon the others sovereignty, and that they are both completely separate organizations.
     
    Article II: Peace
    Both signatories agree not to conduct any acts of warfare, espionage, or other acts of aggression against the other. If this happens, the signatories shall handle the situation properly and maturely in private channels.
     
    Article III: Intelligence
    In the event that one signatory gains intelligence that would be of interest to the other signatory, both parties agree to share this information between them.
     
    Article IV: Optional Defence
    If one signatory is attacked, they may ask the other alliance for military aid. Said military aid however is not required and their will be no hard feelings either way.
     
    Article V: Optional Aggression
    If a signatory declares war on another alliance they may request military assistance in attacking that alliance. Said military aid is not required, nor will their be any hard feelings if aid is denied.
     
    Article VI: Termination
    At any time, either signatory may cancel this Pact for any reason by private channels. Once notice is given through proper diplomatic channels, a forty-eight (48) hour grace period will be in effect in which this treaty will remain active.

    Hmm, didn't think about that... I would assume it'd be okay, but then again, they could sue us for copyright infringement ... but they wouldn't win unless unless they copyrighted their name..... have they? lol

    We have contacted our attorneys who have filed a legal complaint, submitted notification of copyright infringement, and scheduled a formal hearing before a judge in federal court. We plan to request a substantial settlement in addition to steep punitive damages for pain and suffering caused by your negligence in regards to your illegal use of our likeness.

    Pretty much this. Nice to see some members of the Incompetency Coalition still follow protocol. 

    If one decides not to any longer, then it ceases to be protocol for them, but rather an attempt by others to dictate their internal policies. Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems like many tend to be forgetting and/or ignoring this one important fact lately. The only thing keeping standards and protocol valid is the will of the people to recognize it as such. This is an unavoidable natural law, the only law that remains truly definite. I'm not saying that I am against war declaration, but by your assertions you are either attempting to stake claim to harnessing the power to warp reality as such to into transforming something that is completely subjective into an absolute, or you are simply implying that that others should obediently adhere to your preference. The second one is the very line of thinking that folks will eventually get tired of and reject. With how much of a whine-fest it has become sense the start of this war, I would be surprised if even more people weren't considering doing the same.

     

    I'm actually not trying to be rude to any that side, but just cut it out already. So a few people took your proverbial book of protocols, tore it up, and used it as TP. If you can't change their mind, your only other option is by force, and I am not sure sure you have enough of it this time around.
