Then doesn't the people that gave them these terms deserve a round of applause? As for the damage caused it's never covered by the reps after a nuclear war. I doubt even the reps extorted by MK last war was enough to cover the damage we caused.
I agree with your point on the reps. As to whether Athens and friends deserve applause, yes, they deserve at least equal applause. I just fear they've wound that tiger just enough to anger it, yet not enough to subdue it. And it's been a nasty tiger.

They got out easy considering that 1) they were for a long time amongst the most loyal of NPO compatriots and equally as brutal and 2) the damage they have inflicted int his war isn't adequately covered by the reps (this is understandable). In my opinion those terms could and should have well been tougher, though I have no idea what went on at the peace table.

Considering all, GGA deserves a round of applause for securing victory at the peace table.

One is teh NPO way, another is the Karma way. The faults of teh NPO are so much greater than those of their allies, that giving all their allies white peace and NPO pZI would be unfair treatment towards those allies.
This policy aims for justice. As to whether it is unsound, that's to be seen.

What I cannot determine is whether you are leaving for legitimate reasons (those you have provided are legitimate) or because you are sick of the war. The main problem in determining this is that NPO is an alliance full of opportunistic folk who I regard with contempt, and who are the same people who would leave when things get rough. The reasons you have provided are legitimate however, and as such, I can only congratulate you on your decision to leave that bunch.

An honorable alliance would not be treated with these terms, I agree, but NPO has much to account for to be widely considered honorable.
A part of this declaration comes close to an apology to GATO, but it does not appear sincere, and there are many other folks who deserve a sincere apology.
Perhaps if these apologies are not forced by treaty, but instead come sincerely and regardless of any treaty, then when a treaty does come, NPO can expect terms that would be given to an honorable alliance.
