  1. CN can be fun, and can reflect real life as well - it's designed to, to a degree.

    But you have to be careful how far you take that reflection. If I send my troops into battle, and a hundred die, no one is actually dead. The numbers that I use to play the game have changed. Kind of like playing chess. If a pawn or three get taken out, that's just how it is. You always lose pieces in chess, after all.

    If anything, a simulated environment might bring out more "aggression". After all, the consequences are in the game, not in real life. No real funerals, no real destruction. Just troop numbers going down, tech going down, etc.

    Really, I'd say CN is more of an interesting psychology or sociology experiment than a model for a world politics class. It is a game, after all.
