Welcome, o Doomhouse and NPO, to this rock-opera of a war. Love your woman. Honor the admin. Defend your alliance. Good luck to everyone and let there be no flaming or whining on the OWF. Don't worry about your infra: everyone will lose a great deal of it. Anyone who stays in peace mode through this thing will be forever a coward, regardless of what they do in the future.
On another note, I think this is a chance for many alliances to rethink their position on Planet Bob. Be warned that if you fight those who fight NpO/NPO and their auxiliaries, [i]you are on their side[/i] whether you intended it to be that way or not. I hope to see some white peace treaties in the near future. -

You're saying that [i]my post makes VE=NPO[/i]? How's that even possible? VE members understand, I think, that rank and file NpO didn't have anything to do with this, except through indirect means of general ill-feelings towards VE (if such ill-feelings exist at all). But when individuals post, in defense of NpO, things that are crude and offensive it doesn't exactly make us wanna announce white peace, ya know? -

....it's like living in a different universe. NpO didn't spy, NPO wasn't that bad, VE is an empty shell. When I tune in tomorrow will I see arguments in favor of fallout shelters?
Talk it off NpO (&NSO&NPO), talk it off. Good luck with your rebuilding when this is all over. Keep in mind though, that the more you flame VE the less willing VE members will be to give you lenient terms. Just some advice. -

As for PC and IFOK: I didn't really know much about them before this thing. Their response to this fiasco has been excellent. It's good to know that VE isn't allied to someone who will drag us into a war in defense of a bunch of...use what word you may...who raided a disbanding alliance a fraction their size and refused several opportunities to back down from it. -

That's not what I said. Please re-read my first post. It's the 20mil [i]plus[/i] their own NS, connections, experience, history, etc that might place them at the top. The question is, how reliable is that 20mil? I'm saying that's really, really important when judging them. I'm honestly not sure about the answer. But I'm confident in the importance of the question. That's it. -

NPO's MDP list includes about 20 mil in NS. If the perception is those guys are NPO-floozies as some suggest, then that's major. If the perception is they're cowards (who would run at the sniff of Karma 2) as others would suggest, it matters very little. If it's the former then they're in the running for most influential alliance. If it's the latter they might not even be in the top ten. -

Maybe you're confusing "most influential" with "most respectable?"
This is something that's difficult to quantify, but off the top of my head I'd argue it's a function of NS X respect X activity on forums X military X history. VE scores high on all of these. But....
There's really one question that determines the answer here: how loyal are Pacifica's friends to her? If the answer is "very" then NPO's got to be on top...even though it's still unpopular with most and would likely get crushed in a future war. On the other hand, if you think NPO's allies would shy away from it in a future conflict, then NPO may very well be the most overestimated alliance on Bob.
Either way NpO's in third place with a dozen other AA's in the run for fourth. It makes my brain hurt to think of what order to put them in. -

As for WasDrogan, I strongly recommend the surrender tactic on this one. You've got 750 tech and 4300 infra. No reason to lose ALL of it. -

Very disappointing. Many people in the PhR learned long ago that siding with the orders was a mistake. Oh well. Good luck and make sure you don't get dragged into anything with your eyes closed. I'm sure you have the best intentions.
