You know I received this today sewn into a larger message. Its kind of weighing on my mind. They say [i]"never say you're sorry unless you mean it"[/i]. Well I believe a different variation of that line and its; [i]"Only say you're sorry for what you are sorry for."[/i] I guess all in all they mean the same thing. I'm not here to drag the crap out farther, or extend a "15 minutes of fame", but I believe some clarification is needed.
Just as I was trying to defend Legion a while back when we had the racist debate, there were many believing that Legion was a population of racists. That is wrong. I defended that and would be willing to continue to defend that. I don't have to like a group of people to defend the truth, and that truth as the mature members know, is that just because a group of people act a certain way, doesn't make everyone the same. Legion is not all racists just because of the views of a handful of members.
The "Dear Legion" post was made with immense thought, but with an inability to think about my friends. And similar to the above paragraph, they're not all bad people and in fact many of them are my friends who I've successfully alienated myself from. That was my choice. I don't want the "boo hoos" or the sympathy bid or whatever. So to get to the point; I sincerely apologize to my friends at the Legion. I can't apologize for my remarks, nor can I take back what I said as a whole, because in communication you cannot. But in making my argument against Legion conduct, I forgot about the innocent bystanders in my way; my friends, and the role models who've been there even longer than I was. For that guys I'm sorry. You don't take out frustrations on friends. You attack at the source, not in a big cloud. I should have pinpointed my frustrations and directed where I wanted my thoughts to go.
I also get the "my house, my rules" argument, but that's a whole 'nother story that's longer than any of us have time for. Doesn't change how I feel about things, but I can respect that argument since you choose to use it.
tl;dr: I'm sorry to my friends, or ex-friends at Legion whichever they may be. The whole alliance is not what I made them out to be. It has its bad apples, but most of my friends had hearts of gold and I have immense respect for you guys for defending your cause. -
Heh. I only got 4-6 on the first few nights of the Karma war and I wasn't even a leader. I was making squad lists and relaying orders. Sad. Days that will probably never happen again.

Four years ago? I know I said I'd let the thread die. But you're missing the point. This is the present. Right here and now. This thread was created a week ago. One WEEK! They're just hating on them for their internal conduct of their membership. Nothing about wars or anything about that. The general populous is merely adding this internal mishap to their long standing history of everything else. Perhaps giving a 4 year history of wars and what not wasn't necessary but its all loosely tied together.
As far as your first sentence, if you refuse to read the thread, then by all reason that's your right. But don't come in with misinformed garbage replies when you refuse to take it upon yourself to read the thread and be informed. -

The question is why you continue posting? The question better yet is why did people carry this beyond the 17 pages before that really wasn't necessary. Now we're getting to overkill. Face it everyone, you can't please everybody. ISS was right (kinda) when he said "Haters gonna hate." The anti-Legion sentiment has been around since before my time in the game originally. I was reading anti-Legion crap when I started in 2006. People may change their opinions over time, but in the big picture, there will always be people hating on any alliance. Moral of the story I suppose.
Let them crawl back atop their sanction mountain and enjoy it for the week or so that they will get to enjoy it.

#3) Oh I'm sorry. It would be in your best interest never to post a thread or a post that even resembles whining. Because I'm going to enjoy watching it get ripped apart. That's what the BBs are...learn it now. They are a breeding pool for whining and attempts at vindication. You've had a BB account since at least 2008. You should know that now.
4) Worth it in every way. Because I found lots of people who dislike Legion and some of their members as much as I do. Got a new alliance, and realized that more people agree with my views than disagree. Totally worth it.

While we're here, I'd just like to say that I made an awesome choice. Preliminary examination (sorry for the crazy vernacular, I'm trying to write a marketing paper simultaneously
), preliminary examination shows that I made a great choice. I started out being recruited by the Imperator himself which shows he's a top notch guy who really cares about his alliance enough to do the footwork and snag a couple guys off the street to join. Everyone is super friendly. We all have lots to talk about. They have nice forums and their government is super active from what I've seen. I see a career as a recruiter in the distant future.

Oh wow. Would you like a cookie for the 20 nukes? Most long standing members of the Legion have taken 20 nukes. In my first nation I took 20 nukes. Contrary to you "bashing" in a "query", the rest of your government told me that you were bashing her publicly in her channel. Maybe not in front of her, but certainly in front of her members.
As far as the corruption charge, you only pick projects within your alliance for you to get any glory, credit, etc. Oh I especially liked when you awarded yourself all sorts of economic ministry citations and awards in my second trip back. Classy to give yourself honors when your the Minister of Economics. Ironic how they got stripped the same day. That's been a laugh for years. Call me stupid cause you don't like what I have to say, but the truth kind of hurts. Did you ever get those awards back? Or were you not allowed to give them back to yourself?

Really? I'm not interested in another debate about trivial, meaningless crap. If you want to debate something else, make another thread and discuss it there. And as far as why people are recruiting (already been recruited by an alliance thanks), maybe some alliances like members who are active, and not just sheep. Maybe speaking your mind every once and a while isn't such a bad thing. In my 6 weeks back at Legion and CN, I barely posted on Legion boards and never touched a CN board. That's why I got recruited. There's not a whole lot of alliances who like quiet, sheep like rule followers like you. Taking a few risks and growing some balls are a part of the game. -

The Arbiter has been bullying me for years. This thread, me leaving, the refusal to pay the fine should not be a surprise to any Legion member right now. I made it perfectly clear that had ANY other government member ordered me to stop, I would have. The Arbiter has been jerking me over for years, so its not really a surprise where I told him to shove his individual gag order. It was only levied on me, though numerous other Legionnaires were posting "non funny" and "non productive" posts as well.

Okay...500 tech per member. And at least 12-14 members have posted here. But government is above the law and the rules, so subtract out 4. We're down to 8-10 members who will have to pay fines. So between 4,000 and 5,000 tech I'd imagine. I'm sure your [i]qualified[/i] MoE can get those payments out very soon.
