a one-man triumvirate?
now that's some multitasking.

Well this is awkward, those logs are really old and clearly weren't acted upon. We even had a few CBs on your allies that we didn't use. But we all knew this is more of an excuse and you just want to settle a grudge.
Looks like another no CB war.
I'll buy any left over CB's you might have and put them to good use. :)

A good time as any to target obesity and heart disease in your nation.

Is this a reverse-psychology attempt to expose \m/embers and have them rolled?

I am seriously underwhelmed.

I detect a lot of nostalgia for an age that never existed (thanks, Jello).
Apparently most of the posters here have never had the opportunity to revisit their prepubescent experiences. I think some people need to spend some time re-reading the old forums. I think you might find that the level of discourse might not live up to the memories.

Eh, I disagree.
The large petulant contingent that was present in CN's earlier days complicated FA a lot more. Dealing with flaky loyalties, rogues and trigger-happy idiots took a lot of stamina and thinking from alliance leaders as these erratic people were casus belli goldmines. Plus, inter-alliance differences was very palatable and each typically had a distinct approach to politics, so there was a lot more worrying with coming across the wrong way (and of course, making sure said idiots didn't take things OOC).
Ted feels a lot more uniform nowadays, and intrigue tends to come out more by virtue of being on different sides on the fence rather than a feeling of genuine animosity . The user base is more mature and generally more conscious of their own actions, but it doesn't mean the discourse is any tougher. If anything, it's more streamlined.

grats o/
I miss this structure^
the nostalgia is nauseating

RV is the most consistent of them all.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your alliance is rather fond of nuclear weaponry.

So with some MKers moving to TOP, in a sense MK is kind of allied to NpO again. Certainly an interesting angle to things.
Granted I went AWOL for a few years, but I still can't wrap my head around TOP and NpO being aligned.

Nah, there's plenty more to be explored -- The problem is a population that was roughly 16-18 when CN started and has outgrown the game, in terms of dedication/time they're willing to commit. With the aid change activity can catapult an alliance to reasonable worth in reasonable time provided they get some help from the massive supernations that have grown abominably large. There may need to be one more alteration that will allow 100k nations to reasonably damage nations greater in the future to reign it back in -- but really all that's missing is an injection of the younger crowd into the game again.
Agreed completely.
It's been a few years since I was last active in CN, but what I've seen so far makes me believe we won't be seeing a major injection of new players. The CN game mechanic has not changed meaningfully in eons - it's an outdated product, and there are plenty more riveting options at this point in time for today's teens and young adults. Of course what truly makes (made?) Cybernations is the alliance/FA aspect. But that's the hook, not the bait. The game is the bait, but it's grown stale while new fishermen are trying out all sorts of sparkling bait.
The stagnation that followed the whole Karma thing was only natural - it's what happens in most online gaming communities. What shakes things up is new blood coming in to learn the handle, impose their will and create a whole new world of intrigue, conflict and rage.

Viniland's Bureau of Internet Statistics has reported a 42% drop in "lulz" presence across the Cyberworld since the Mushroom Kingdom disbanded. When asked whether the statistic was "a good sign for us all", V declined to comment.

My RC had an average of +10... somewhat inconsistent, most of my vets gained a point while some youngsters didn't develop. Guess I have to let the little ones have more fun in the field.
Oh, and looking for some solid 7-skill players? I got 'em!

This should become a WEU protectorate, or given to France. I'm not sure which.

I dunno, I'm leaving it up to whomever steps up and does something with it. I'd RP out gracefully but I barely did any RP so whatevz. -
Get rid of Euskadi on the map, I'll be deleting in a few days.
-
OOC: Good news, I'm a cold caller! Bad news, I'm deleting my nation (as in asap when my aid screen clears). Sort of spontaneous but I've realized I really won't have time for CN for a long while and I don't feel like having someone sit my nation again, only to be half-active when I come back. Peace out, whoever wants to take over this go ahead and whoever wants to take over my RP nation feel free to.
-
OOC: Sorry, I've been looking for a new job for a few weeks and I've intensified the search starting this Monday, I'll get this rolling for sure on Friday.

[s]Nation[/s]Province/State Name:Yukon

Accepted. I'll enter one of my own and that seals the deal. I will start a separate thread for the tournament in the Open Nation RP forum tomorrow. -
OOC: Okay, if by this evening no one else is in I'll enter another team - Ryan Milley and Pikachurin will also be able to as they had dibs first. Make the other team consistent with the RP, though (say, a team from an autonomous region or w.e)
-
OOC: Three more! Come on dudes.
Oh to ride the wind, To tread the air above the din. Oh to laugh aloud, Dancing as we fought the crowd.
