I applaud this humanitarian gesture of FAN! It is most impressive and may contribute to future world peace!

Londo, it was good to work with you at AQUA and my hope is that when this war is over we can work again to build economic prosperity to all nations in our sphere.
Although, I'm pretty sure that at least one other aqua alliance will end up on the next manufactured "side", after C&G is gone. So you are going to have to watch your aqua friends die, one by one, as CN winds down. If we are in fact your friends.o/

I'll see to it that you and the rest of MHA regret this day, I promise Sparta will pass you in the sanction race when we're through with you.That is one consequence among many from a preemptive first strike. They are necessary when the alliance leaders decide that the situation indicates an imminent attack. Alliance members then follow orders, accepting the sacrifices they make for the Alliance and for the other Alliances with whom they have treaties.

It would seem to me that you could do your former Alliance some good by sending $3 mil, 50 tech and max soldiers to 5 other members in your alliance, and go into hippy mode and improvement swap for 10 days and then come back and collect taxes and repeat twice. In a month you would have distributed $45 mil, 150 tech and troops to younger nations, and only spent maybe 30 minutes online in the game. No need to waste those resources when there are new players trying to grow their nations.

Why join the Mostly Harmless Alliance?
It's not because you can drink a Pan-Galactic Gargle-Blaster with the rest of us at our permanently reserved table at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe (although you can).
It's not because you can stomp around saying "Resistance is Futile" while throwing people out of the airlock (actually, we frown on that behavior)
It is because we the MHA is without a doubt part of the Aqua Sphere of Win!

For Admin, it must be a bit like debugging a simulation and getting messages from the various simulated entities during the test runs.
Or maybe a laboratory scientist coming in one morning and finding the mice objecting to their dosage schedules.
Remember, this is a "Beta" universe. For all we know, Planet Bob may have a Great Flood and all population levels will drop 99% over 40 days.

But I do think that I've seen a lack of leadership and diplomatic skills here in just this thread by you Terry.. Take a step back.. and find humility in your actions.Terry, my advice: Don't Panic. Accept that you will be defeated.

There is a difference between Nazism and Fascism.
Fascism is a political philosophy that like Communism, Socialism, Conservatism, Liberalism, Libertarianism and other political dimensions has many variations and wears many faces.
Further, how people participate and which people participate can differ. Direct Democracy, Representative Democracy, Limited Republicanism actually can be combined with different political philosophies in a variety of ways.
If someone wanted to form an alliance based on the kind of Facism and Representative Democracy that is increasingly dominating political discourse in some nations (just that people are so uneducated about Fascism that they do not recognize it when they see it).

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that Planet Bob is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our alliances, tonight is your answer.
Its the answer told by lines of text that stretched across page after page of responses, and in the graphics that no one has ever seen, by people who have posted for the vey first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.
Its the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – CN rulers who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Grämlins nations and Mostly Harmless Alliance nations: we are, and always will be, the Härmlin nations.
Its the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.
Its been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to Planet Bob.
The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. There will be setbacks and false starts. We may not get there in one year or even four years, but Planet Bob - I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you - we as a The Härmlins will get there.
What began twenty-four months ago must not end on this autumn night. This treaty is not the change we seek - it is only the chance for us to make that change. So let us summon a new spirit of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other..
Let us resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that have poisoned our politics for so long.
And to all those reading tonight - our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of Planet Bob leadership is at hand. To those who would tear this world down - we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security - we support you. And to all those who have wondered if beacon still burns as bright - tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our alliances comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.
For that is the true genius of Härmlin - that Härmlin can change. Our union can be perfected. And what we have already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.
This treaty has many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. Planet Bob, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight, let us ask ourselves - if our children should live to see the next century; what change will they see? What progress will we have made?
This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time - to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the Planet Bob Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth - that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we cant, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:
