Are you trying to imply you'd be attacking alone? Of those alliances(that I'm aware of) that want to see us dead, I doubt any would attack a lone standing TSO without a 2x or greater advantage in NS.

if your infrastructure is more than double your land you lose a point of environment, and therefore some citizens, the effect of land on how much money you make is somewhat complicated, and unless you're close to a threshold (half of infra for the environment point, or 70 citizens per mile) it's usually more cost effective to just buy infra instead.

If someone raided me(even if I was unaligned), that nation, and any other that joined in on its side would eat nukes till they agreed to replace any tech they looted/destroyed.
Everyone has the authority to demand reparations for an unprovoked attack, that authority is backed by the credibility and scope of your threat.
Even without an alliance or nukes, a small but prepared nation can make it unprofitable to continue the war. What matters is whether the raider is nearsighted enough to continue a war when covering the damage you caused in aid would be cheaper, and if the attacked nation knows how to play his hand right.

The absolute cheapest way to buy 50 tech is in the following increments(starting from 0): 4.5 10 10 5 10 10 0.5
Then you send it, and buy another 50 whenever the person accepts the aid.
As for which alliance is best, that depends entirely on what you play the game for. My recommendation here is to get a feel for an alliance on IRC before you decide to apply.

It's not against the ToS, but if you try to extort the wrong people you'll just end up getting rolled.

If you want to save a message for later, copy and paste it somewhere else, as they're deleted after a week or so(whether you delete them manually or not).

According to my understanding of the jumps, plus your tech level, resources, and wonders you should go from about $891.78 per level daily upkeep at 14999.99 to 894.31 per level at 15k.
You'd have to sell about 700 infra or buy NPP to get down to $850.

If they were comparable in NS, we wouldn't need to ask for help, but if there were slots open we wouldn't decline if they offered. Our allies get as bored as we do in the tedium between wars, and hogging war slots would just be greedy.
If you really want to prove something SpiderJerusalem, challenge me to a duel and see if I hide behind the protection of my friends and allies.
